I love the contrast of digital videography and the film photos. ❤ I love taking photos and videos of sunrise/sunset tones, at dusk etc. I still have a lot to learn technically. I took a film photography class in uni and it was fun but somehow back in 2011-12 🥲
43:34 My favorite photo of the video;) Joking aside, thank you very much Willem for yet another year with great videos. I've been a subsrciber since your 4th or 5th video, and I have to say that it might have been the year you inspired me the most. Maybe because of the variety of subjects you show/photograph. Anyway, all the best for 2025!
Thanks for the cameo! very calming video and does the OBX justice for sure! Just put a new higher compression head on the saltwagon fj40 ! Happy new years! hope to see you guys again soon.
I just got an OM-2N and I absolutely cannot wait to see what an entire year of shooting looks like let alone having 2hours worth of good photos. Also here before 500 views is crazy.
Thank you for this video. It is the perfect way to drawn us back into seeing WHY we all do photography. The pictures are great, the comradery is excellent, and the whole thing is inspirational. Again, thank you.
FAB always in all was. ..... That said I am SO sad only only wild horse photo--not gonna lie as really hoped you would all capture some more. They are often up in outskirts of town too. Anyhoo happy new year to you all. Keep on keepin on.
Is this like a "mashup" of previous trips/photos from other videos youve put out or is all this new stuff?? Havent had the time to watch the whole thing yet. Some of the photos seem familiar! Amazing either way👌🏻
commenting because I want to be one of the first 10 people to comment. What a breath of fresh air ending the year with another willem verbeeck 2-hour long film photography video!!!!
What I find quite astonishing in the photography community, everyone talks about the 'Leica look' but I see everyone who leans toward films photography have taken their greatest photos on the mamiya 7 II. It seems like it is the everything camera. I was reading a thread somewhere on the internet that said medium format is better than digital in terms of film vs digital, but digital hails better results than 35mm. What do you all think? Would love to hear more opinions in the comments.
I’ve used both 35mm film and digital full frame and I can’t say I understand the appeal of 35mm film when compared to its digital opposite. Full frame photography has progressed so much that every part of the photographic experience has been thoroughly improved. I go back to 35mm film as a student of photography only. Medium format film feels similar to a lesser degree. Medium format film has oodles and oodles of data to extract with truly compelling kit available.
Totally agree with you. I just exchanged my 35mm SLR film camera to a medium format camera because I felt like the result I had with my digital camera were almost always better than my 35mm film camera, but I don’t have the same feeling with medium format. I always find something magical that I can’t find anywhere else with medium format film.
I’d agree with you then I see people like Jason kummerfeld take photos on his m6 or t2 and really paints his pictures on 35mm. I think the best camera you have is the one you enjoy shooting the most you can yield similar or even better results. I feel like it’s more about what you take a photo of than what you used to take the photo.
This is a precious gift, thank you Willem for another year of great content and photography !
This is the content we all need at this time ❤❤❤
Can’t wait to go back for the next one brother! Super grateful for all of these trips with you and Jimmy. This summer is going to be awesome 😎
This is exactly what I needed for this cold Midwest Sunday morning

Beautiful images and very relaxing Willem
made my day!!!
Great video and some stunning shots there!
Thanks for sharing Willem, I started shooting film three years ago after I saw your videos.
This is dope but film stocks and camera settings under each shot woulda be beautiful.
FAB always in all was.

All the original OBX videos are in here but there is also a ton of new photos/footage that I never used before :)
Great video and place. I went to Kitty Hawk in 1996. One of the best trips I've done to the States. Greetings from Terrassa, Spain.

Happy 2025 to everyone who reads this. ❤
Just proves the the fact that with great photos and video you don't have to have commentary.
Thank you for everything all these years. Happy New Year, Willem! ✌
These are a great watch when you’re constipated 10/10 recommend
Imagine verbeek with the 65 on the M7. 🤤🤤🤤
5:19 What lens and film was used for this? This is my favourite photo in this video
Doesn’t he use the 80mm almost exclusively on the Mamiya 7? And probably Portra 400.
Wow this is so nice. I want more of this! For me this could be even longer and have an even slower pacing. Make it uuuber chill!
Gotta stay up 2 more hrs i guess.
43:35 Media offline 😂
I’m gonna pretend that was intentional so I know who in the comments is making it past the 40 minute mark 😂
My dream is to buy contax t2 someday, it's expensive but not as expensive as Leica. But until then, I'm having fun with my Pentax K1000
I can smell the salt sea air
жирнейший подгон, думаю в выпуске 100+ фотографий 💥🤔🤔
Very nice photos on this walk. Do you live in this area? I have a relative that lives in Pawleys Island South Carolina.
😍😍😍😍
oh no, if you wipe sand off the lens with a cloth, it can leave scratches. Pictures is very good!

Mamiya 7 is thre greatest camera i've ever used, hands down.
