Beautiful music ..... I remember Stephen ... though we called him Steve when we were all kids .... as a friend my brother and I played hoops with from down the street in Roseville, MN. But he had so many music lessons back then that our basketball time was limited. Good to see that all his efforts in music turned out so special, especially since his basketball was not so good. Rest in peace, Stephen ..... you are a truly kind soul.

Stephen Paulus was one of the great composers of choral music of our time. He will be sorely missed.

The composer suffered a stroke on July 3 2013, and is between heaven and earth now, and some who care for him dearly here wish he would stay with us to compose again. Peace.

I'm performing this piece the 22nd with my college choir. This is one of the most beautiful pieces I've had the honor to sing and hear.

PILGRIMS' HYMN Even before we call on Your name To ask You, O God, When we seek for the words to glorify You, You hear our prayer; Unceasing love, O unceasing love, Surpassing all we know. Glory to the father, and to the Son, And to the Holy Spirit. Even with darkness sealing us in, We breathe Your name, And through all the days that follow so fast, We trust in You; Endless Your grace, O endless Your grace, Beyond all mortal dream. Both now and forever, And unto ages and ages, Amen

This is a wonderful song. I first heard it in Salt Lake City performed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Just sit, meditate, and enjoy voices put forth in songs to God.

These words are a prayer, which is you actually talking to God! That's serious stuff, therefore it is very gripping and I cry because it is awesome that the Lord hears every prayer which ever comes from His children. You've got to also hear Paulus, "To Be Certain Of The Dawn."

This is fabulous! And is it just me, or did they say 'me' instead of you a few times, and 'our' instead of your...?

They're singing "Thee" (not me) instead of "You" and "Thou" instead of "Your"
