yea, the E4 segment was definitely one of the hardest purely because of Elias and Lin 2, who were like complete counterteams. I don't think another pair could've done it though.
While nice, i found it impossible to use parts of this strat with pulse2 password. High rolls now require Crits, and the crit requiring parts are forever out of reach. While passing attacks now kill you in one hit. Gonna try to mix it up with some supports and other bulky priority maybe. Talonflame snatching tailwind/aurora veil sure sounds nice when you know its coming... Edit: After the fight: I ended up using Skarmory(Rocky helmet), Mega Gengar, Mamoswine (Assault vest), And alolan ninetales as my other 4 mons. Skarmory (Hp/def) ate any physical mon alive with stall toxic/iron defense, specially mega Metagross from Anna. While Ninetales allowed me to actually set up with Blaziken/Honchcrow using sleep/aurora veil. Mega-Gengar was a great wallbreaker as well, alternating from Thunder to Sludge bomb to Dazzling Gleam as a 4th move was perfect to deal with specific fights. And oh god Mamoswine saved my ass so many times, holy field boomburst is too strong lol. Good thing we know Arc-arceus is already 252 evs. So thx for showing me a way to kill it with just two mons alive with honchkrow. It boiled down to: 1. Make arceus use Z-move, killing another mon (being resisted type with another full life mon was enough to bait this). 2. Then use honchcrow out while arceus is Psychic. 3. DO NOT get flinched on dark pulse. 4. WIN with Z-move blackhole eclipse. It took like 20 resets, but i got it pretty fast with a save just before the fight and 3 mons alive. Thanks again for the strats.
this run was definitely done with the base game in mind so I'm not surprised at PULSE2 mode E4 being MUCH MUCH harder. Good job on getting it done regardless.
...jfc. I thought the game was hard, and was looking up and thinking about strategies, and then you just come here and roflstomp the entire game with two 'mons. I don't know whether to hate you or salute you, but I am definitely incorporating these two into my team lol ...and for some reason the AI is different when I play. It sends out gyarados after crobat, my honchkrow doesn't one-shot it, and it kills it with a z-move. gg -edit 2: putting on a choice band instead of black glasses changed the AI's behaviour. nice.
another 2 mon strat is pyukumuku and persian just let the opponent mon kill the two over and over again using revival herbs, pyukumuku's innards out tears through them and there's nothing they can do. only counter i know is simple beam and rest, since gastro acid nor mold breaker stop innards out the persian is so you can farm money at victory road for the revival herbs, in the dragons den field using pay day gives a LOT more money
Using Noivern's magic coat to self-swagger is the most chad move I have ever seen. Here's a like friend.
What I'm getting from this is that I've been sleeping on Honchkrow.
After spending the entire game using murkrow for prankster perish songs I forgot what a monster honchkrow can be without gimmicks.
moral of the story: honchkrow with moxie really messes with this game lmao
choice scarf Krookodile is a monster too.
He is the one who got me through Heather
Moxie is just a pretty strong ability pretty sure it can cheese any Pokémon game

She...she uses a crobat and a gengar...god that's so fucking sad...
it's actually corey's crobat :)
@@hornetisspider
But can’t you get Corey’s crowbat?
@@staydetermined6717 nope
well the e4 are allowed to use 2 main types
@@synxthed3785 I'm not complaining, the presence of gengar and crobat makes for an incredible story beat, even if it is a very sad one
A fire chicken and a mafia crow fuck up the elite 4 and champion
Considering blazikens blaze kick with 85 accuracy would need a few tries to hit
I get why they work so well together but holy shit, i was not expecting honchcrow lol
Great strategy. What is the nature and ev spread on the honchkrow?
adamant, 252 attack/speed. i believe i used an ev tuner once on it in the E4 but i dont recall exactly.
classic azery moment
And neither are bulky steels.....pretty impressive stuff.

Using save states to get critical hits after waiting isnt really fair tho xD
savestates don't exist in this game; i was just resetting for hours here lmao
for more elaboration; the double crit is absolutely necessary and after hours of trying different things, i resigned myself to just waiting for them.
