I don’t think this has anything to do with the new system. It’s not an excuse for these players-many of them are internationals who adapt to different tactics when playing for their countries. What does a system have to do with poor defending on set pieces? Or with missing clear chances? Or with failing simple passes? Now, on top of that, there’s a lack of confidence. These players are afraid to take any risks.

@@Eb.23 i think the epl is just a physicality-focused league, where even the clubs in the lower half of the table feature midfielders and defenders who are industrious runners. and the physicality required in this league is quite different from other leagues. which is why i always think there is a danger of getting spine players (centrebacks and central midfielders) from other leagues rather than look towards those tried and tested in the epl. ugarte is a good player, but i would have much preferred onana for the last window, just because of epl experience. de ligt seems alright, in another league, but brainthwaite would have been a safer/better option.
A big problem imo is that the system calls for wingbacks, but we are playing with fullbacks, not fullbacks at wingbacks, literally fullbacks at fullback, they're too deep and never overlap
@@dotunbello there were many instances where he was coming for the short ball to Martinez and when eriksen and casemiro lost the ball because there was no one on the left wing, zirkzee and hojlund were never gonna overlap, go watch actual wingbacks like frimpong and dimarco and come back to dalot and tell me if he plays the same position as them, Also no need to be rude
I'm only 5 minutes into the video, so i may be doing you a disservice. But i think the problem was Zirkzee was suppossed to drop into the midfield but he just wasn't doing it. That's why he was subbed. After Kobbie came on we looked so much better.
If Martinez steps up, Zirkzee drops in and the fullbacks push out when the wingers go wide it’s a lot harder to play through even with Casemiro and Eriksen which I think is the compact setup Anorim wanted. It’s game intelligence but that should be able to be taught slowly
I feel sorry for the message around Zirkzee was he was pulled because he was bad. He was not good at but he was pulled because we changed formation to a middle 3. So a tactical change.
The biggest problem is that change is system has been a shock to the whole squad, whole defence. Because of how Berrada has shaken everything up for all the players by changing the head coach midway through the season when all other teams are well settled in their systems and now the squad needs to learn the whole new way of reading each other's game in new setup, and the mental fatigue of restarting the whole process in new direction when others are going full tilt with their plans will affect any team.
I don’t necessarily think Casemiro and Eriksen was a problem, they didn’t need to be mobile they were supposed to sit in front of the back 3 forcing the ball out wide. I also think Martinez should be covering for anyone coming in from the far side at the back post and the central CB should be marking the attacker. The issue is the wingbacks and the two 10’s Those are the four players who had to be mobile, the 10’s have to help out the midfield out of possession. I don’t imagine for one second Amorim expected to win the midfield battle with just two midfielders. What is missing is in game intelligence from the players and relationships. You can understand a lack of cohesion given the new roles and squad rotation but as professionals surely they can see free players and spaces that need to be covered.
I said it the last time casemiro and eriksen played together 'they can't play together in midfield they are to slow' it's time to start blooding some academy players, legs are better than experience at this moment. I thought last night that amorim might have put martenez in midfield because ugate was out to give more energy, and play yoro at left center half. Relegation will not happen because Ipswich , Southampton and Leicester are nailed on for relegation.
The Zirkzee situation highlights just how badly the squad has been managed. He's still relatively young (23), and this is his first time playing in the Premier League, so he needs to get adjusted to the physicality. If we had a solid squad, he'd be on the bench getting mop up minutes in comfortable wins. In this squad, we need players who can contribute immediately from almost every transfer just to remain somewhat competitive and hopefully get the bounty of European football. For all the fact that it looks like Zirkzee won't be able to adjust to the Premier League, at least he's young and could improve. Too often in the past, those "plaster over the cracks" players have been at the tail end of their careers and probably only a have another season or two before they also need to be replaced. That just makes the problem worse as those are even more transfers you have to make. To be competitive for more than just European football and the occasional domestic cup, United need to stop plastering over the cracks and rebuild a solid foundation in the squad. But that's almost certainly going to take time, with United likely out of European football for a couple of years barring cup wins during the rebuild.
Great analysis on that and I think your spot on regarding the treatment of Zirkzee. Yes, he's been poor at times but he's been poor in an underperforming team that very few players in the world that are under 25 could turn round on their own.
I was literally ranting about how bad Zirkzee was - made no runs, can't pass, out muscled, he was just watching the game instead of playing it - but after I heard the crowd cheering his substitution I felt sorry for him. I'm totally with Amorim deciding to take him off though.
Amorim definitely had to act. He was hiding standing next to the defender constantly. He clearly didn’t want the ball. It was sad when he was booed off but some fans applauded him as he went down the tunnel
Thanks for the analysis. While broadly, I agree with your stance, I would make the following points 1) Newcastle were worried about Amad- they were able to overmark him, bcs frankly, they had little respect for Zirkzee or Hojlund, Take out Amad and the attack was blunted. I doubt if Ineos have the funds, but ideally they would find an experienced striker and another creative inside forward. 2) The possession figures improve a lot after Mainoo comes on for Zirkzee. Is Angel Gomes still a possibility on a free? 3) Mazraoui did not have a good game, but he was beaten for pace by Gordon and backed up by de Ligt, who also lacks pace. Dispiritingly, last night''s starting performance seemed eerily similar to the kind of errors promulgated by ten Hag. i.e.2 holding midfielders lacking legs who were overrun with ease, until Mainoo came on. Ruud demonstrated that you can get something from this team if you stick to what they know and make sensible selections - I know Amorim, said it would be hard at first, but does it have to be this hard? It is not the first time Amorim has made questionable decisions.
Ten hag was telling us that the mid field was wrong so e totally ignored it and made them into a totally high pressing team and it was exposed now it is even worse
You hit the nail on the head with this one. Above all else, Martinez and De Ligt is not helping the midfielders like they are supposed to. What i cannot wrap my head around is the fact that martinez did the exact thing you pointed out in the match against city, he was aggressive and his timing was dead-on and he absolutely took KDB out of the game. How can he be this good in one match and just forget everything in the next 3 games?
the defensive shape shouldve been 4-3-3, either martinez or de ligt push forward to help the midfield, and then revert back to the 3-5-2 form during attacking phase
There are so many problems at this club and they are all interconnected, as time progresses it makes things impossible to fix and what we are seeing now is a death spiral. If the fans stopped living on past glories, stopped looking for a fast fix and actually supported the club over their favourite player/manager/system then that would allow the manager to start dealing with the player power and player quality. But the board/owners are also so shit that they won't let the manager fix the player issues. But you simply can't afford to undo 14 years of terrible squad building in a single transfer window so you have to keep the players and make small adjustments to the squad. So then the players know they won't be going anywhere so feel empowered to demand what they want. And even if you do sell a player their value has been so damaged, their wages are so high that you won't get the bids to the value you require to get in players that are an upgrade especially as other clubs can see the desperation in club. Its all just a viscous cycle that can only be ended with a complete reset by a party that has the money to just throw at the team. Problem is we had that chance but decided to go for ineos ahead of qatar and so the cycle continues. Honestly I think we are now seeing the end days for this once great club.
Ruben Amorim wasn't wrong with his starting lineup, he just played with the cards he had. Ugarte was out, Bruno was out (even though he's bad ATM), Mount is injured and Mainoo needed some rest. So yeah, this one is 100% on the players. Like you said - passive. Some of them doesn't have the physicality (Casemiro, Eriksen), some of them were too passive or unaware (Mazraoui, Lisandro who was awful). We did have good chances, but couldn't finish them (again...)
Most of the players are not suited to play amorims system,he needs new players. Our current players are more suited to play in a fully counterattack system, gotta sell most of them to see the difference.
casemiro and eriksen in the middle was bad, but what other options were there? mainoo isn't a better runner, ugarte and bruno are suspended, mount is out. perhaps collyer? but i do not think he has looked at the fringe youth players much at all. you can also suggest more kooky ideas like playing lisandro, lindelof, dalot or mazraoui in midfield (because they have done it before), but i do not think that would have helped as well. the entire team just cannot run and have no muscle. so i won't say 'team selection' was a problem. the make up of the entire squad is the problem. there is nothing to select from!
Don’t let United brings you down AJ, with all the negativity around the club, the only positive is , now we can see how bad, and overrated the majority of our players are. I wish you and the best AJ Analysis community a happy new year, and let’s hope it will be a good year for Amorim .
Before I even watch the video I will just say as soon as I saw Casemiro and Eriksen and Zirkzee all starting in the middle I texted my FPL group chat and said Isak is about to have a day cause United are going to get outran all over the pitch....Tactics and system aside that was just a poor lineup and the players just simply arent good enough.
That’s how we press with ugarte and Bruno in especially if amads at wing back and mazouri in rcb and de lit in cb it’s a personel issue . Trust is a big issue in this team I see it in every game they don’t trust hojlund with the ball (rightfully so) but they need to give him passes to run on to not control. Onana and the other df don’t trust maguire with the ball under even the slightest player. We rarely trying passes through to the mid when there under pressure as if they don’t trust whoever will keep the ball……
Mazraoui at rcb, Amad at rwb, Amass at lwb. Dalot on the bench. Casemiro and Eriksen shouldn't play in midfield together. Zirkzee and Rasmus shouldn't play together.
Amorim was at fault again for the loss by underestimating Newcastle's team, especially their midfield against Casemiro & Eriksen didn't make sense. Team selection was poor again, it all good Amorim being attacking minded but he doesn't have the players to do the thing he want so a compromise has to be applied to get the best out of this squad!
The team selection against Liverpool should be defensive approach. The team should have been: Onana, Yoro/Maguire, DeLigt/Evans, Martinez, Malacia, Casemiro, Ugarte, Mainoo/Bruno, Mazraoui, Amad, Hojlund. Subs: Bayindir, Yoro, Evans, Dalot, Amass, Eriksen, Colliyer, Gernacho, Zirkzee Rashford & Antony We expecting not to lose as long as we apply ourselves & shut up shop. We're already 17 point down from where we should be cos we already have the players to choose from!
I feel like our defenders mobility has been a question since ten hag, theres no reason other than extra protection for our defenders as to why our fullbacks didnt join the press. That would've changed the game completely especially in the first 30 mins
Kobbie looked bettee than he has done all season. Next to Ugarte, he looks quite sluggish, but when Casi and Eriksen are around, he looks a lot stronger.
This biggest problem with the club is we do not follow one playing style. Look at liverpool, they signed a manager that plays exact same style to klopp and there is no change in their performance and they are doing better than before. All the players that klopp signed are doing wonders for slot but for us it is different.
Great analysis. While everyone's over reacting, I'm sitting here wondering when Ratcliffe said he wanted to put "Manchester" back in Manchester, which club did he mean??
@@pandemic5705he is forever marooned to the goal line, come out, make your frame bigger to narrow all that space for the goal scorer to hit. Always a goal, just hit it and it’s a goal
It is rather simplisitc that Amorim was "poor" in his choices. That would imply he has choices. Given the phisical demands on the PL, and given they will play Liverpool on the wekeend, I see it as reasonable that he wants his best players as fit as possible. I think it was bad, but going to liverpool with unfit players would be catastrophic. And we know it will probably be so anyway.
The system talk is annoying, it's basically a simpler version of the 4231 we were playing under ten hag, without the ball defending in 442 which has been the same at times under amorin, with the ball 3241 .... Only difference is we start with a back 3 instead of dalot ( usually) becoming an inverted full back ....
It's radically different. The wingbacks provide width instead of the wingers. We havs inside forwards instead of wingers. The responsibilities of the players are different. We have fullbacks (dalot and Maz) and wingers (Garnacho) that are incompatible with the change in system. Until they sign real attacking wingbacks, this system will continue to fail. This is why we looked better with Amad at RWB.
Noussair Mazraoui to RCB. Amad Diallo to RWB and sign Alvaro Fernandez in January and we will start to resemble a good team because we will have players playing in the right positions.
@DirkAndDestroy let Martinez back up Ugarte. He was great their for Ajax. Bring in Inacio from Sporting and United's back 3 will be instantly better defensively because they will have more recovery pace
Let's not forget we had Bruno out and Ugarte out both would have offered a lot more than Erikson and Casemiro we got battered for the first half Maguire hit the post and how Casemiro didn't score is frightening at this level it's fine margins even though we got out played it could have ended up 2-2
Relegation is the short answer to our problems. It will force the Glazers to sell to Qator who will invest in wisely, then comeback to EPL a year lator withe best structures and players.
AJ I think most of the players are just awful and that’s a known thing. Most of the managers need an apology at this point because they all look incapable with most of those player. It’s ridiculous!
Who should have played instead of casemiro and erikson because mainoo played against spurs and wovles so he had to be rested and colleyer is not ready apparently
Even with the worst tactics in the world, you still have 11 professional football players on the field... So its ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS going to be the player's fault.

@@TheSpaniard80 The thing is, the 2 AMs are meant to help defensively, so it should've been a 4 Vs 3, but Zirkzee is slow, and Amad was providing the Width on the RHS.
AJ, I agreed that Martinez did not have a great game but what is McGuire doing on both goals??? Martinez isn’t in the team for box defense. McGuire is. In the first goal he steps forward out of the center for no reason and the ball ends up over his head. I know it deflected a bit but still. And for the second goal he is near hugging Isak. Why?! There were plenty of defenders around. Get up and win the headers in the box man
We scapegoat and bully players which is very sad . Zirkzee is the latest victim. He was performing the least well in a whole team that is underperforming. But Zirkzee must be trying hard in training and showing something otherwise Amorim would not start him. New players take time to settle, especially if the team is significantly underperforming. This is an intelligent footballer who perhaps may be a misfit in this new setup
My theory is that Wilcox knew the team he had in front of him was 💩 and thought the pragmatism of Southgate was a better fit for where they were. He built that Newcastle team BTW….
Quick solution: play 3 good midfield players in midfield. At the moment we only played with 2 not good midfielders. We need a midfield that can pass the ball over the top or pass it wide faster.
we dont have 3 good mf ugarte most soid player period. mainoo great talent still finding fitness after injury and being overused last year. bruno fills in because of durability and abilty to run for 90 but hes attacking with creative free spirit. hes abandoning that to help team. dire situation
Y tf would you bring a manager that plays a back 3 system in the middle of November. He can't buy his own players and we dont have wingbacks. And our no 10s are literally wingers. You could of picked any regular back 4 manager and it would have been alright. This club is so lost man. These ineos lot are out of their depth.
Why can’t you admit that Newcastle played very well particularly in the first half, your boxing analogy, is apt because in boxing when your opponent can’t lay a glove on you, it means you are applying the science of the sport, as Newcastle did to Manchester United, The midfield of Newcastle is probably one of the best in the whole Premier League.
u said it all , the wingbacks where horrible , specially mazraoui , to me the worst on the field.. u are wrong , Martinez for sure had instructions to cover erikson a little higher , thats why he s the one a little ahead on the defence line , but the main problem there is that de ligt is too slow so he is always afraid to go up , thats a problem he has and that plus mazraoui that simply dont get it , always out of it , it make the defense all a mess ! finally adressing the "zirkzee wasn't the problem".. he was since he also was always out of it and eriksen was more active than zirkzee was , thats why he cose him to come out and advance erikson , hoping erison would take the ball a bit longer and was able to interet somehow with the ones arriving up ... bu that team is too lazy , too slow (remember the first issue of all , physical preparation.. still sht) and too dumb to play together, its like each one came from a different planet.. but the absolute worst was mazraoui , gordon di to him whatever he wanted to, so he left a mile of distance so he put the ball where ever he wanted (in this case , strikers head without being bothered at all
The situation of Manchester united doesnt suit 3~4-3. A good coach will switch to another formation. I think Amorim is the problem and not the players. This same players win 3 matches and draw 1 under Van Nisterool.
The midfield pick wasn’t great, yes.. but mate, Urgarte and Bruno were both banned. We don’t have more options. Kobbie needs to be protected and we are risking him a lot playing 60+min. Bigger issue is how we have two midfielders with a combined income of over 400k per week and still are not reliable. Zirkzee played well in a league with heavy defensive pressure but somehow can’t keep a ball in the PL. maybe it’s a confidence thing. Hojlund lacks aggression and slows down the attack too much. He needs to be more direct and stop using hold up play for every attack. There’s time and place for everything. Garnacho is actually lost now. 0 threat. 0 desire. The kid wants to leave. Onana? We’ve seen enough. Exceptional on the ball, terrible shot stopper. Ultimately, we have no man power. Without Bruno and Urgarte we are just vulnerable. We need reinforcements.
Yh, RCB. Had a quiet game and just came back from illness, but he's mainly played CCB, go give it a rest for this game. If it happens again against LFC, then have a go at him then.
December 31st, 2024,some Man Utd fans still put the blame on the manager 🤣... You guys are not ready. I do not give a heck about whatever formation the manager needs to use. Do the players have the mentality? Do they have the physicality? Do they have the zeal? You have Eriksen that God saved as a Man Utd player. Mainoo that still needs to be learning from the bench as a potential, he was turned to a key player. Garnacho already feeling like he's Ronaldo. An ambitious club should not make Hojlund the first choice striker, while it might be true he does not get enough services, he himself has many flaws. There are mismatches in the squad. Unfortunately, the blame will always go to the manager. Some are saying it's because of 3 at the back, we also got beaten severally with 4 at the back. 7-0 mauling from Liverpool was also 3 at the back? Man Utd would buy known players that are either old or past their peak, but gullible will expect them to play like they were 6 years ago e.g Casemiro. Some gullible are still expecting him to perform like he performed like Madrid, therefore they believe it is the manager messing his performances up. They will never consider the fact he is older, in a different league and the fact he played with prime Modric, Kroos, Ozil, with defenders like Ramos, Marcelo and forwards like Ronaldo, Benzema, Di Maria. But since he is Casemiro at Man Utd, they believe he can do no wrong. None of the players can take a better corner kick, won't run, conceding crosses and set pieces anyhow. They won't contest aerial duels.
Called it before the match, the back 3 and midfield two aren’t mobile enough for this system. How can everyone see it bar Amorim? Ideally yes, you do want the two outside CB’s stepping in to press their 8’s, but you are then leaving Maguire 1v1 in a foot race with Isaks 😟. He’s got to change the system to suit the personnel available!

We were playing in this formation under ten Hag and he was sacked with us at 13th. Eriksen, Mainoo, and Bruno is a very weak midfield and will be overran. It doesn't matter if you roll them out in a 4-3-3 or a 3-4-3, they will be overran. There is no physicality in it. This squad is not capable of executing a 4-3-3, we have ample evidence of this over the last 18 months. The 4-3-3 system was failing and we hired someone to introduce a new system, why do we think reverting to the failed system will solve our problems?

We have tried this system you're proposing and it failed. That's why we have a new manager. To suggest he should abandon his principles to go back to a system that failed already after 7 weeks is the reason we're where we are: impatience. He hasn't been able to train the players because it has been one game after another every 3 days. We have a tough 3 game run coming and after that we have a favorable run of fixtures. Maybe things get better maybe they don't but we should let him do what he was hired for.
It's all down to the manager. Inflexible, unexplainable player choices, poor in game management. Unpopular opinion after we just swapped, but we were far better off with ETH.
Players don’t know how the play in this system. Lack of training time. Should Amorim be trying to win games short term rather than install a. Ew philosophy?
This club is rotten. Hiring a coach with this strange tactics was immature. I keep saying this INEOs thing is just Glazers 2.0 It will never get better. This buffoons needs to sell the club and disappear once and forever
First thing is to stop the interviews, we don't want to listen to the coach talking anymore. The club has to ban unnecessary interviews Next thing is to implement intensive training and no time off for players, if anyone is uncomfortable they can leave. Stop all the fun interviews for players and all that photoshoot nonsense. United cares about the money the players bring in and i think a better performance would sell more merch than these photoshoots and all that nonsense. We don't need it, its unnecessary. Amorim talking about having 4 full sessions is indirectly saying he's tired of the interviews.

Dalot literally overlaps every single time. You don't have to comment if you don't have anything to say
@@dotunbello there were many instances where he was coming for the short ball to Martinez and when eriksen and casemiro lost the ball because there was no one on the left wing, zirkzee and hojlund were never gonna overlap, go watch actual wingbacks like frimpong and dimarco and come back to dalot and tell me if he plays the same position as them,
Also no need to be rude
Comparison is irrelevant. He's not a wingback. He's a right sided fullback playing out of position. But he definitely overlaps nonstop
That's not it, one of the CB was supposed to step in as an extra midfielder. That's how Sporting played
I feel sorry for the message around Zirkzee was he was pulled because he was bad. He was not good at but he was pulled because we changed formation to a middle 3. So a tactical change.
Your midfield wow two old men against Bruno tonali and joelinton the mind boggles. ⚽️⚽️
Great point!
0:20 oh nooo 😢😂😂
😅
Bro stated all the positives in under 20 seconds into the video😭😭😭😭😭
I don’t necessarily think Casemiro and Eriksen was a problem, they didn’t need to be mobile they were supposed to sit in front of the back 3 forcing the ball out wide. I also think Martinez should be covering for anyone coming in from the far side at the back post and the central CB should be marking the attacker.
The issue is the wingbacks and the two 10’s
Those are the four players who had to be mobile, the 10’s have to help out the midfield out of possession.
Ipswich won at home that's big for them and Leicester will have a big January if we don't beat Southampton we're involved fully
On that showing last night and Bournemouth…i wouldnt be so sure 🫣😣😣
Martinez has no stamina or legs for midfield.
He was converted to center back for a reason.
Martinez is not a midfielder. He should have put Collyer and Casemiro atleast
De gea saved us for yearssssssss
Apart from when he came up against Spanish teams
Newcastle went easy on us! 😏
Masterclass how you accurately pin pointed the positives 😂 have a bless and continued grow to tour channel AJ 🙏
While broadly, I agree with your stance, I would make the following points
1) Newcastle were worried about Amad- they were able to overmark him, bcs frankly, they had little respect for Zirkzee or Hojlund, Take out Amad and the attack was blunted.
I kind of draw parallels between the hooking off of Zirkzee and the hooking off of Quansah vs Ipswich. Two clubs moving in very different directions.
Hi AJ! Do you think maybe Lisandro should be in the midfield? I’ve always seen him as a DM I think he is wasted in CB
he's good on the ball for a center back, but nowhere near crafty enough to be a midfielder
Spot on, great analysis!
Ten hag was telling us that the mid field was wrong so e totally ignored it and made them into a totally high pressing team and it was exposed now it is even worse
He didn't want ugarte and wanted amrobat and mctommany
"The positive out of of the way"😂😂😂😂😂😂
You hit the nail on the head with this one.
Happy New Year AJ
the defensive shape shouldve been 4-3-3, either martinez or de ligt push forward to help the midfield, and then revert back to the 3-5-2 form during attacking phase
What a waste of €10m, even Ten hag wasn't this bad.
THE INTRO 😭
Subs: Bayindir, Yoro, Evans, Dalot, Amass, Eriksen, Colliyer, Gernacho, Zirkzee Rashford & Antony
We expecting not to lose as long as we apply ourselves & shut up shop.
We're already 17 point down from where we should be cos we already have the players to choose from!
I feel like we should just get relegated and start over tbh...
Relegation would be the ultimate reset at this point
Can we look into championship players who have that intensity?
Great analysis. While everyone's over reacting, I'm sitting here wondering when Ratcliffe said he wanted to put "Manchester" back in Manchester, which club did he mean??
If I was in charge of MU, I'de only keep Yoro Amad Maino and maybe De ligt and Rasmus. We need a massive clean up in our team
No Mazaroui? He's been a top 3 player for us this season (apart from the last couple of games).
We are paying £100k+ per week for these football players and THEY COULDNT make 5 meters pass. Now, INEOS banned January transfer? WTF!
Why on earth is onana walking away with no scrutiny....... honestly speaking we have no goalkeeper
If we are talking about specifically Newcastle game, no Onana had no chance on both goals.
@@rana1561Should've come out to try and claim the cross at least for the first goal. He's glued to his line, mate. Even more than De Gea used to be.

Can you do an analysis of the Rooney-Ronaldo era Utd team? Just as a comparison? Please….??😊
Dalot provided the width in this system; he was the extra man in the Midfield under ETH.
Spot on. Maz is great at RCB, also can replace our underperforming CBs. We looked 10x better with Amad at RWB, maz cant attack.
@DirkAndDestroy let Martinez back up Ugarte. He was great their for Ajax. Bring in Inacio from Sporting and United's back 3 will be instantly better defensively because they will have more recovery pace
Let's not forget we had Bruno out and Ugarte out both would have offered a lot more than Erikson and Casemiro we got battered for the first half Maguire hit the post and how Casemiro didn't score is frightening at this level it's fine margins even though we got out played it could have ended up 2-2
Amorim should move to a 4-4-2 system and the 5th defender is the winger just tracking his fullback on either side
Relegation is the short answer to our problems. It will force the Glazers to sell to Qator who will invest in wisely, then comeback to EPL a year lator withe best structures and players.
The list of postives was so extensive 😂
10:46
You can imagine 5 men just standing marking totally no one
AJ I think most of the players are just awful and that’s a known thing. Most of the managers need an apology at this point because they all look incapable with most of those player. It’s ridiculous!
Who should have played instead of casemiro and erikson because mainoo played against spurs and wovles so he had to be rested and colleyer is not ready apparently
lets get the positives out the way that was funny😂😂😂 they have finally broken AJ
I think the coach should try mino as a 10. He will do extremely well
Hate to be that guy but I have never seen onana dive, not even once the last few games where we conceded fROm setpieces
Even with the worst tactics in the world, you still have 11 professional football players on the field... So its ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS going to be the player's fault.
@@brianjanssens8020 At the same time, he’s asking two ageing Midfielders to play as a two against an energetic midfield 3. If he cant see that this would be an issue prior to kick off then 🙁🙁. @@TheSpaniard80
The thing is, the 2 AMs are meant to help defensively, so it should've been a 4 Vs 3, but Zirkzee is slow, and Amad was providing the Width on the RHS.
Why did we allow Ten Hag to get rid of De Gea?
That was not Casemiro, that was Joel from down the street. Seriously, it's like he's never played football before.
Man United vs Stoke city Derby in the championship gonna go hard
AJ, I agreed that Martinez did not have a great game but what is McGuire doing on both goals??? Martinez isn’t in the team for box defense. McGuire is. In the first goal he steps forward out of the center for no reason and the ball ends up over his head. I know it deflected a bit but still. And for the second goal he is near hugging Isak. Why?! There were plenty of defenders around. Get up and win the headers in the box man
They really need to hire you!
I don’t wana next one.. End the season here please.
Playing casemiro and eriksen is a sin in this age
We scapegoat and bully players which is very sad .
Zirkzee is the latest victim.
He was performing the least well in a whole team that is underperforming. But Zirkzee must be trying hard in training and showing something otherwise Amorim would not start him. New players take time to settle, especially if the team is significantly underperforming. This is an intelligent footballer who perhaps may be a misfit in this new setup
My theory is that Wilcox knew the team he had in front of him was 💩 and thought the pragmatism of Southgate was a better fit for where they were. He built that Newcastle team BTW….
It wasn't Wilcox that wanted Southgate... It was the dude that got fired (Ashward/Ashworth? Can't remember...)
Wilxcox was Southampton
Quick solution:
play 3 good midfield players in midfield.
Why can’t you admit that Newcastle played very well particularly in the first half, your boxing analogy, is apt because in boxing when your opponent can’t lay a glove on you, it means you are applying the science of the sport, as Newcastle did to Manchester United, The midfield of Newcastle is probably one of the best in the whole Premier League.
u said it all , the wingbacks where horrible , specially mazraoui , to me the worst on the field.. u are wrong , Martinez for sure had instructions to cover erikson a little higher , thats why he s the one a little ahead on the defence line , but the main problem there is that de ligt is too slow so he is always afraid to go up , thats a problem he has and that plus mazraoui that simply dont get it , always out of it , it make the defense all a mess ! finally adressing the "zirkzee wasn't the problem".. he was since he also was always out of it and eriksen was more active than zirkzee was , thats why he cose him to come out and advance erikson , hoping erison would take the ball a bit longer and was able to interet somehow with the ones arriving up ... bu that team is too lazy , too slow (remember the first issue of all , physical preparation.. still sht) and too dumb to play together, its like each one came from a different planet.. but the absolute worst was mazraoui , gordon di to him whatever he wanted to, so he left a mile of distance so he put the ball where ever he wanted (in this case , strikers head without being bothered at all
We had rojo smalling jones not saying their bad but never starts to r any of the top six
Nous and Dalot are not wingbacks and should not be used for the role. Use wingers as wingbacks pls!
The situation of Manchester united doesnt suit 3~4-3. A good coach will switch to another formation. I think Amorim is the problem and not the players. This same players win 3 matches and draw 1 under Van Nisterool.
In fairness Manchester United just don't have a squad good enough to challenge the big boys.
Poor recruitment over the years showing now.
I need evidence to make me believe that Amass is worse than what we have. Why haven't we seen him get even 30 minutes?
Højlund did make a few Channel runs; that's how he got his chance that went wide.
@ yea, now and then he can show his potential. He needs someone to compete and grow with
Man U didn't play with wing backs! You played with midfield wingers and 2 attacking wingers!!
Lisandro was abysmal and has been all season.
Wait, was De Ligt really on the pitch?
The Liverpool game will be so bad that something will change on Monday.
If Casemiro scores that sitter at the end of the 1st half, it would have been a different game. We just didn't take our chances
Fan base was an embarrassment boing a young man off like that!!!
Change the system to what? A 4-2-3-1? Same 4-2-3-1 the guy who bought all these guys for that system didn't win enough games with and was ultimately sacked?
@@ekeenyinnayadiala837 A 433 would suit the personnel a lot more that his 343/523. Back 4 of Mazraoui Martinez Yoro Dalot
Mainoo sat in front with Eriksen and Bruno as the two 8’s, Amad on the right and either Garnacho/Rashord on the left, Hojlund up top.
That side would give you more energy/Legs, a 3 man midfield capable of pressing better, not having 3 CB’s holding hands, marking one CF….
@@ekeenyinnayadiala837 Things have improved under Amorim and his system then have they? 😕 and playing a 2 man midfield of Casemiro & Eriksen offers more than the 3 i’ve suggested 🤔 Mainoo offers the legs in there with Bruno and Eriksen then able to apply pressure to the opposition midfield and to then create higher up the pitch on transition.
Interested in what side & formation you would pick with the players available then??
We have tried this system you're proposing and it failed. That's why we have a new manager. To suggest he should abandon his principles to go back to a system that failed already after 7 weeks is the reason we're where we are: impatience. He hasn't been able to train the players because it has been one game after another every 3 days.
We have a tough 3 game run coming and after that we have a favorable run of fixtures. Maybe things get better maybe they don't but we should let him do what he was hired for.
£1.2Bn that squad. £1.2 BILLION.
Just bring 2 wingers and 2 leftbacks and 1 right back from the academy . I doubt we wil get players in january.
Relegation form 😵
This club is rotten. Hiring a coach with this strange tactics was immature. I keep saying this INEOs thing is just Glazers 2.0
It will never get better. This buffoons needs to sell the club and disappear once and forever
Why does he never say Newcastle United? At the moment clearly the superior United.
First thing is to stop the interviews, we don't want to listen to the coach talking anymore. The club has to ban unnecessary interviews
Next thing is to implement intensive training and no time off for players, if anyone is uncomfortable they can leave.
The positive is just a sigh 😂😂😂😂😂
So Newcastle scored 2 goals thats them being aggressive and taking there goals. United get two clear chance and what we do with it? Case easily kick the ball out with and open net to the left like Beyonce
We need to sell all this players
They lack physicality and dalot is a nuisance
