Trailblazer reminds me of Yu narukami. Literally there times when he/she lets his/her intrusive thoughts win and does one of the weirdest and funniest replies in the game. Its so funny how its canon that MC digs up every trash bin he/she finds just because he/she really wanted to do it meanwhile dan heng and march cant understand your way of thinking. When you first enter the hotel room in belobog, MC sees a huge closet he/she can fit. MC went full on fischl and imagined that he/she imagined the contents of the closest like it was narnia plus any chuuni sht youve heard of and that the person behind the door who was room service was the demon who would take him/her away. MC jumped out of the closest scaring the sht of room service and you getba reward for doing so. Theres also when MC tried to use the payphone and trolled some non profit organization
Honestly I don't care about the gacha, Iam more intrested in the wierd stuff you can do in Honkai Star Rail. There is literally interesting diolugue and items you can get from trash cans! It's soo stupid but it helps to take away from the linear design of the game. Stuff like this rewards the player for exploring things out of the norm. Another instance was the hotel you stay at, rather than going directly to bed I decide to jump into the cabinet and scare the people doing room service. Guess what, I got rewarded for that too.
There’s also a part where you can sit on a random toilet that’s in a random room on the Express 😂😂 The weird stuff really makes the game more entertaining
Sadly those interactions become somewhat rare after the Jerilo VI Administrative District, I really hope they add more of them through updates later on. Especially the Praises of high morale, as if you take the letters from the mailboxes instead of putting them in you are locked out of the Saint achievement permanently. At least as of what I know right now.
@@Marisad You can find a couple in the Xianzhou Loufu, though that said we still haven't explored like half of the possible areas there. Actually even Herta Space Station and Jarilo-IV have areas that seem like you go to but are blocked off probably for future expansions. (Like the locked doors in the space station or the vast mines, other pathways wish invisible walls, more parts of the city in Belobog, and perhaps even the outer areas beyond Belobog. Who knows? We might find a frozen doomsday beast or something
@@laurentiuslancaster1657 Yeah but the density of intractable stuff in the Loufu is already way lower than Overworld Belobog or The space station, also regarding the Saint achievement I think it's just bugged for me, I'm decently sure I have enough praises of high morale but it just won't give the achievement to me
genshin has always been marketed to mobile devices but struggles on most mobile phones and is most likely going to struggle on the nintendo switch (which is literally a mid spec tablet) so its surprising to see hsr run smoothly compared to genshin when hsr looks like it takes more resources to run
Honkai Star Rail is not an open world game, this fact already made a huge difference Also this is patch 1.0 of Star Rail, yet it already taken 9,12GB (no I did not download other languages dub beside Eng dub) while Genshin in 1.0, it took 6,8GB
“Smoothly” my butt, it’s still have some bugs, and quite unoptimized, at least for now. One time i was playing smooth, next time it was laggy and the lightning seems off sometimes, even though i was playing on a high end device.
It seems like a fun casual game - easy to play during free time compared to genshin. The fact enemies have multiple weaknesses makes me hopeful HSR doesn't follow the mobile turn-based trend where you need to build full teams for every element.
You don’t even need to play that specific element sometimes in HSR. Even without weakness break if you deal high enough damage the enemy is guaranteed to die
I've been playing Genshin and HI3 more than 2 years, and... It's funny everyone thinks Genshin is HYV's main game when it's actually just a side-project. And the fact there is now 3rd Honkai game may even tell you where their preferences lay. MiHoYo originally was founded by Evangelion fans. That may also give a hint why they like sci-fi more. Yes, Genshin brings more money than Honkai, but if money was only measure of success in game industry we should say that hyper casual games are better than the plot-oriented ones. I mean, they're more profitable, aren't they? HYV devs just love Honkai, no matter how lesser money it brings. Watch their documentary, and you'll see how much of themselves they put into Honkai. How they talk about its story and characters. How grateful they're to its players and fans. So, one Honkai story came to an end, and they launch next one, adding casual elements from Genshin in hope to attract more people to read / play their Honkai stories. Plot and characters aside, the biggest difference between GI and HSR for me it's writing. In HSR it's actually interesting to read and engage with everything. In Genshin I 99% tempted to skip (sumeru's good though). HI3 is literally a visual novel with combat elements, so no reason to compare (I didn't skip a word ok) Next is MC. You are not silent, you can be badass and silly and your choices change character reaction to you. Last, you're not alone or with only Paimon. You have a found family and they actually traveling with you commenting shit you doing and starting conversations. You even have a group chat with the word "family" in its label. HSR has excellent humor, it's way less childish and 'fairy-talish'. If you like sci-fi and know what 42 means - try this game. If you HI3 fan, you would try HSR anyway so-

sure genshin can be their side projects or whatever they want it to be but it will never change the fact that it's their loss if they wont maximize its profit and keep giving genshin players the barest minimum just because "honkai is their favorite child" and feel that they're not getting the content and service they deserve for paying fucktons of money.
@@gepardlandau04 GI being huge doesn't mean it has to give out huge service. Its made this much this far as-is, it can keep going while updating as it goes. Eventually an update will get people excited again. HSR gets the usual next game treatment of 'sure we can add that in' because they had to build the game anyways.
As Rpg player.... The turn base gift a breeze breathe.. As someone who like play turn base this is good (usually turn base focus point is story) if you play rpg like trail in sky or any turn base one like in psp or maybe old games u know the nostalgia. But being it was online... The resources to get 😅
Tried out the game, and it’s not for me. Turn-based combat just isn’t my cup of tea. I much prefer real-time combat. Not to mention, the time investment I put into Genshin is pretty high and I don’t want to do that with a second game. With that being said, I hope any Star Rail fans out there have a good experience playing!
Another part I like about star rail which is probably so random is how I don't feel punished doing other things on the side while I'm playing like,,,I don't feel bad eating smth or doing homework while playing the game whereas genshin demands your full undivided attention, especially with their difference in combat mechanics, the point of a game for me is to be casual and light hearted and star rail fulfills those criterias for me
Thats what i truly love about this game, i got burnt out of genshin (which i played really long but stopped cuz the farming and end game is burning me out) and also since i learnt my mistakes on my gacha in this game, i choose who i know truly want and also that I LOVEEEEEE when youre in a middle of a game U CAN PAUSE-
I was never able to fully get into Genshin. That game just wasn't for me. Honkai Star rail on the other hand.. I don't know what it is, but I really love that game. And I find it quite Funny
The thing I like the most about star rail is that unlike Genshin we actually get a physical catalyst character, cause if you think about it, ignoring literal weapons, they're all catalyst users in a sense with how they can only deal damage of their elemental type.
Genshin and Honkai have their respective energy systems that limits how much you can do daily anyway, so I don't see why gamers should choose one over the other. Personally, I swap when resin or trailblazer power run out.
They are different. I played Star Rail for 4 days now, before returning to Genshin. Playing Genshin felt totally weird and different after playing 4 days of Star Rail.
I like the feel of star rail's combat better, mainly because i've all 4 of my characters out on battle rather than genshin's only 1 out at a time. A huge emphasis on team battle. Plus, the game doesn't need more than 10mins of my attention daily, which is manageable for me and crippling monotony I tend to feel when playing the same game over and over again. Stopped playing genshin only after 3 weeks after its release, because the daily tasks felt like a chore over time.
I like the honest comparisons, despite being a sponsored video you still go in on the differences and how not everybody who enjoys Genshin will immediately fall in love with Star Rail but how it's still very approachable for fans of Hoyoverse.
1:49 honestly, I would probably like the more time to think afforded by HSR, but I really love Genshin’s story and it’s characters. I’ve taken a peep at HSR’s story and characters and I simply do not feel as drawn.
I have one reason to not try this game out: from what i've seen and heard so far, this game's gacha is exactly like in genshin (which is bad even for gacha standards), artifact rng hell is exactly like in genshin, and their QoL politics are exactly like in genshin (hell, they even removed skip button in the last beta). Like, as much as I'm interested in the lore and characters, hell no, you're not gonna make me go through this torture again.
Well, I am with you on this. Do not need another hellish grind to go through. Plus, Baizhu teaser is out today and soon, Kaveh's either tomorrow or Saturday 😊 However, I am sure if you can be on the lore train and you'll never have to bother with the Gacha and the artifact RNG hell. Plus, the characters seem off. Good as they are, they don't act like their Honkai counterparts. They share the same likeliness, that's all. I mean Genshin does that too, but it's more of an Easter egg in Genshin. Whereas this game has been marketed as a successor to HI3. I am more interested in Star Rail's OG characters than the Easter egg characters at this point.
@@smug_slime From personal experience, mostly. Every single gacha I've played so far, which is 4 of them, have an event 5* chance at least at 1%. And none of them have the dreaded 50/50, although to be fair one of them has guarantee as high as 150 (but in return its generous with its selectors so as of now i have every single 5* as f2p). Rates for those I haven't played aren't hard to google either, just look up a list of highest revenue gachas and go down it. As far as I know the only gacha as greedy as Genshin is FGO, or at least it used to be in 2020.
why do all creators keep saying how Honkai rail is different from genshin or how is related is like they don't even check where the game actually comes from is even in the name " HONKAI IMPACT " it's predecessor to even genshin so many of the characters are base copy from there even they share the same name ..............is like they dont even try to do the research
because genshin lobotomites hear that its a hoyoverse game and expect it to be a carbon copy, also genshin is pretty seperate from both HSR and HI3, aside from a few characters who pay homage in some form
I think another thing this game can do. Is to possibly add a PvP gamemode Genshin is impossible to implement PvP on since it's real time and team synergy can just one shot another team in just a flash. But since Star rail's turn based they can implement a pvp without it being a broken and laggy mess. There's been a lot of turn based gachas with a pvp mode like SAO rising steel/ unleash blading. Granted it still depends on luck and build but how generous HSR's relics are compared to Genshin that might fix the issue
Since I'm a big Genshin player and is getting bored of Genshin for now, I'm trying HSR out and I enjoyed it so far. But, I do realize that I'm not gonna be investing to this game, it's just for the freshness of a new game for me. I imagine after a while the grinding is gonna get tiring, especially since I prefer more character choices in turn based games to make it not as boring. Given the rates are the same in Genshin, it's gonna be torture to continue on. All in all, it is a nice game to just try out.

8:06 this aged so well... JY isnt a bad Character, just had the bad luck to be Erudition (a path that is actually pretty trashy and Light cones of the Path isnt... good enough) and most of his power relies on his signature Light Cone.
I played star rail for a bit, but you're right about them having different audiences. I'll occasionally pop in on star rail ("occasionally" meaning like once a month at most), but i prefer genshin in pretty much every way. Sure, it looks like a potato on my poor laptop, but if I need pretty screenshots, my phone can run it on its highest settings for about an hour without a charger. Doesn't mean that playing it on the phone is much fun though, star rail is much better for mobile (and a lot like epic seven, which i used to play until something unfortunate happened to my played-since-release main account. This means, mainly, that it's a lot more conventional than genshin when we're looking at gacha titles) I'll be sticking with Genshin, but I'm honestly glad that star rail has had so much success. It clearly had quite a bit of care put into it, and the MC is hilarious.
I started playing Honkai Star Rail and yes it is very different, I mean yes Genshin is a open world and we have to do réactions whit all elements. And this is why I didn't like the game so far the combat and small world but just have to give it a chance
As a mobile player on Genshin since day 1 - I feel genshin is a great mobile game. Star rail is a game. Genshin is an experience. I wish mihoyo continues to increase difficulty level in genshin so experienced players can continue to have a reason to build their characters.

Genshin has become a game i don't have fun with anymore i go in do my daily stuff and stop while in hsr I've had actual fun playing it coming up with different strategies to beat a boss exploring the weird stuff you can do.
Why wouldnt it make money or be successful Hoyoverse made money with there other projects and the game is well made besides the few apprehensive people who proclaim they won't try it( but secretly will) It might not reach Genshin level but it was never supposed it's turn based it exist to fill a niche just like ZZZ or Tears Of Themis They get the money all the same

My personal opinion is that MC is stronger than early Aether due to him being made for combat with minimal persona compared to traveler who get stronger with his character development (doesn’t change the fact that he’s pretty dumb and reckless for old world traveler)
I mean Trailblazer literally standed in front of a large blast in the opening match didn’t die because plot needs happen. Traveler has been pretty smart about traveling a world none their old power and no prior knowledge
2:19 honestly, while I do have an ability to play Genshin on PC and recognise its benefits, I would never even consider doing it because I'm terrible at PC controls. Like I can't move normally, thus can't fight even the easiest of enemies thus Abyss, exploration and events are near impossible to do; I don't play any games on PC consistently and have been playing exclusively on mobile for years and even when I used to play on PC WASD controls has always been a bane for me because they're so extremely counterintuitive and uncomfortable to me and I never got used to it and arrows also aren't located comfortably even if I were to change to them - to far from skill buttons, to close to the mouse, comfortably using them would require me to be ambidextrous which I am absolutely not, like PC gaming is a complete and utter nightmare to me full of incredible suffering and utter horror while mobile gaming even with lower quality is intuitive, easy, convenient and familiar and overall a far better experience then the inferno that is PC gaming. I don't have much motivation to learn to play on PC because the benefits are to slim compared to efforts and time it would take to master and it's SO MUCH EASIER to make time for mobile gaming than for PC one because with PC you have to sit in front of it to do it, but mobile gaming can be done from anywhere that has good enough Internet connection. In short, for me mobile gaming is leagues and leagues above PC gaming and it probably will never get equal because the way I see it I will obly have less and less time for PC gaming moving forward but I will always have 5 to 30 minutes to more for mobile gaming. As for console it's simple - don't have it and it's far from a priority item to get.
I refuse to play this game for a multitude of reasons. Biggest is Honkai is not afraid to kill off your favorite character. Doesn't matter, no one is safe. So I'm just not willing to go through absolute depression getting attached to these characters knowing they could be killed off at any moment.

If you want to know what I think of Honkai: Star Rail. Feel like any other every day anime RPG turn base combat. That coming from any free download Gacha RPG turn base combat. I even play like non gacha version of anime turn base combat. In other word it not ever a new breath of fresh air to me.

Disagree on so many points. Genshin looks good af on my 200 dollar Android phone, play smoothly, and I got used to playing on my phone in a month and never looked back. The convenience difference of playing HSR over Genshin on phone is non-existent. This was a lackluster and disappointing video. This is not to knock HSR, I'm enjoying the game, but there's no way HSR will ever take priority over Genshin ever. Genshin is just a much bigger, better game objectively.
its not objectively better. its bigger objectively and will probably always be, but it being better is subjective For example, i think genshin is probably the weakest Hoyoverse game they released in terms of story that i have played (HI3, HSR, GI) I also think that the characters in HI3 and HSR are better than 99% of GI's characters

My fav difference is that the mc is actually really good early and late-mid game unlike aether and lumine

As someone who like play turn base this is good (usually turn base focus point is story) if you play rpg like trail in sky or any turn base one like in psp or maybe old games u know the nostalgia. But being it was online... The resources to get 😅
Tried out the game, and it’s not for me. Turn-based combat just isn’t my cup of tea. I much prefer real-time combat. Not to mention, the time investment I put into Genshin is pretty high and I don’t want to do that with a second game.
With that being said, I hope any Star Rail fans out there have a good experience playing!
Another part I like about star rail which is probably so random is how I don't feel punished doing other things on the side while I'm playing like,,,I don't feel bad eating smth or doing homework while playing the game whereas genshin demands your full undivided attention, especially with their difference in combat mechanics, the point of a game for me is to be casual and light hearted and star rail fulfills those criterias for me
Thats what i truly love about this game, i got burnt out of genshin (which i played really long but stopped cuz the farming and end game is burning me out) and also since i learnt my mistakes on my gacha in this game, i choose who i know truly want and also that I LOVEEEEEE when youre in a middle of a game U CAN PAUSE-
I was never able to fully get into Genshin. That game just wasn't for me. Honkai Star rail on the other hand.. I don't know what it is, but I really love that game. And I find it quite Funny
The thing I like the most about star rail is that unlike Genshin we actually get a physical catalyst character, cause if you think about it, ignoring literal weapons, they're all catalyst users in a sense with how they can only deal damage of their elemental type.
The core of genshin is mixing them elements so
Genshin and Honkai have their respective energy systems that limits how much you can do daily anyway, so I don't see why gamers should choose one over the other. Personally, I swap when resin or trailblazer power run out.
They are different. I played Star Rail for 4 days now, before returning to Genshin. Playing Genshin felt totally weird and different after playing 4 days of Star Rail.
I like the feel of star rail's combat better, mainly because i've all 4 of my characters out on battle rather than genshin's only 1 out at a time. A huge emphasis on team battle. Plus, the game doesn't need more than 10mins of my attention daily, which is manageable for me and crippling monotony I tend to feel when playing the same game over and over again. Stopped playing genshin only after 3 weeks after its release, because the daily tasks felt like a chore over time.

I like the honest comparisons, despite being a sponsored video you still go in on the differences and how not everybody who enjoys Genshin will immediately fall in love with Star Rail but how it's still very approachable for fans of Hoyoverse.
Agreed on your first point. I can run HSR even though my ping is constantly on 200-300. The anxiety that same thing gave me with Genshin was real

About the controls: The fact that genshin still does not have official controller support on android devices is just mind boggling to me.
Ive been on mobile since day 1, a few months in I switched to a controller. Hated it - esp with menu selection 😂

I have one reason to not try this game out: from what i've seen and heard so far, this game's gacha is exactly like in genshin (which is bad even for gacha standards), artifact rng hell is exactly like in genshin, and their QoL politics are exactly like in genshin (hell, they even removed skip button in the last beta). Like, as much as I'm interested in the lore and characters, hell no, you're not gonna make me go through this torture again.

However, I am sure if you can be on the lore train and you'll never have to bother with the Gacha and the artifact RNG hell. Plus, the characters seem off. Good as they are, they don't act like their Honkai counterparts. They share the same likeliness, that's all. I mean Genshin does that too, but it's more of an Easter egg in Genshin. Whereas this game has been marketed as a successor to HI3. I am more interested in Star Rail's OG characters than the Easter egg characters at this point.

@@smug_slime From personal experience, mostly. Every single gacha I've played so far, which is 4 of them, have an event 5* chance at least at 1%. And none of them have the dreaded 50/50, although to be fair one of them has guarantee as high as 150 (but in return its generous with its selectors so as of now i have every single 5* as f2p). Rates for those I haven't played aren't hard to google either, just look up a list of highest revenue gachas and go down it. As far as I know the only gacha as greedy as Genshin is FGO, or at least it used to be in 2020.

I think another thing this game can do. Is to possibly add a PvP gamemode
Genshin is impossible to implement PvP on since it's real time and team synergy can just one shot another team in just a flash.
But since Star rail's turn based they can implement a pvp without it being a broken and laggy mess. There's been a lot of turn based gachas with a pvp mode like SAO rising steel/ unleash blading.
Granted it still depends on luck and build but how generous HSR's relics are compared to Genshin that might fix the issue
Since I'm a big Genshin player and is getting bored of Genshin for now, I'm trying HSR out and I enjoyed it so far. But, I do realize that I'm not gonna be investing to this game, it's just for the freshness of a new game for me. I imagine after a while the grinding is gonna get tiring, especially since I prefer more character choices in turn based games to make it not as boring. Given the rates are the same in Genshin, it's gonna be torture to continue on. All in all, it is a nice game to just try out.

JY isnt a bad Character, just had the bad luck to be Erudition (a path that is actually pretty trashy and Light cones of the Path isnt... good enough) and most of his power relies on his signature Light Cone.

I played star rail for a bit, but you're right about them having different audiences. I'll occasionally pop in on star rail ("occasionally" meaning like once a month at most), but i prefer genshin in pretty much every way. Sure, it looks like a potato on my poor laptop, but if I need pretty screenshots, my phone can run it on its highest settings for about an hour without a charger. Doesn't mean that playing it on the phone is much fun though, star rail is much better for mobile (and a lot like epic seven, which i used to play until something unfortunate happened to my played-since-release main account. This means, mainly, that it's a lot more conventional than genshin when we're looking at gacha titles)
I'll be sticking with Genshin, but I'm honestly glad that star rail has had so much success. It clearly had quite a bit of care put into it, and the MC is hilarious.

My personal opinion is that MC is stronger than early Aether due to him being made for combat with minimal persona compared to traveler who get stronger with his character development (doesn’t change the fact that he’s pretty dumb and reckless for old world traveler)
I mean Trailblazer literally standed in front of a large blast in the opening match didn’t die because plot needs happen. Traveler has been pretty smart about traveling a world none their old power and no prior knowledge
2:19 honestly, while I do have an ability to play Genshin on PC and recognise its benefits, I would never even consider doing it because I'm terrible at PC controls.
Like I can't move normally, thus can't fight even the easiest of enemies thus Abyss, exploration and events are near impossible to do; I don't play any games on PC consistently and have been playing exclusively on mobile for years and even when I used to play on PC WASD controls has always been a bane for me because they're so extremely counterintuitive and uncomfortable to me and I never got used to it and arrows also aren't located comfortably even if I were to change to them - to far from skill buttons, to close to the mouse, comfortably using them would require me to be ambidextrous which I am absolutely not, like PC gaming is a complete and utter nightmare to me full of incredible suffering and utter horror while mobile gaming even with lower quality is intuitive, easy, convenient and familiar and overall a far better experience then the inferno that is PC gaming.
I don't have much motivation to learn to play on PC because the benefits are to slim compared to efforts and time it would take to master and it's SO MUCH EASIER to make time for mobile gaming than for PC one because with PC you have to sit in front of it to do it, but mobile gaming can be done from anywhere that has good enough Internet connection. In short, for me mobile gaming is leagues and leagues above PC gaming and it probably will never get equal because the way I see it I will obly have less and less time for PC gaming moving forward but I will always have 5 to 30 minutes to more for mobile gaming.
As for console it's simple - don't have it and it's far from a priority item to get.

I refuse to play this game for a multitude of reasons.
Biggest is Honkai is not afraid to kill off your favorite character. Doesn't matter, no one is safe. So I'm just not willing to go through absolute depression getting attached to these characters knowing they could be killed off at any moment.

Disagree on so many points. Genshin looks good af on my 200 dollar Android phone, play smoothly, and I got used to playing on my phone in a month and never looked back. The convenience difference of playing HSR over Genshin on phone is non-existent. This was a lackluster and disappointing video.
This is not to knock HSR, I'm enjoying the game, but there's no way HSR will ever take priority over Genshin ever. Genshin is just a much bigger, better game objectively.

For example, i think genshin is probably the weakest Hoyoverse game they released in terms of story that i have played (HI3, HSR, GI)
I also think that the characters in HI3 and HSR are better than 99% of GI's characters
