I think as a society we need to shift our focus away from success as *the* measure of a good life for a man. I think what men need more fundamentally is to be heard, to be understood, and to be cared for. We have an epidemic of struggling men facing loneliness, addiction, becuase our society only values those who get ahead, who beat "99%" of the other guys, and quite frankly Im tired of it. The developed world is so technology advanced and getting richer but at the same time the majority of people are really struggling, because our society only cares about getting ahead in life and not listening to and helping other men and one another. Gentlemen, we need to evolve our way of thinking, let us care for the planet, the poor, and each other.

Yes, exactly, I think the coming necessity of universal basic income (assuming we don't want people to starve or have riots in the street) will be a great thing for men, women, families and basically everyone. Rather than wasting his time at a boring and pointless job like 90% of guys do, that time can be spent at home with the family or on a hobby, on fostering human connection that will be more fulfilling then fixing someone's transmission or dealing with a clogged toilet. Even the guys in supposed High skill positions like surgeons should be replaced as well because the bots can beat us all at virtually everything or will soon be able to... I have a degree in mathematics and it is humiliating to see how well and fast it can solve differential equations... but guess what I am not ashamed to admit that I am bested by a machine. Let's make these machines great servants to us rather than using them for Destruction.

I love your content, Tom. One thing I can't agree with (and maybe I've just misunderstood it) is that in today's world, almost everyone embraces the idea of "hard work." But what they are really doing is embracing the idea of extreme effort. There are better outcomes than this over time. The modern problems we struggle with are increasingly not effort problems but imagination and ingenuity problems. They don't require more hard work but steady mediocre work that involves proper rest, strategy, and ease.
For example, I moved countries, and by doing that, I got a much higher standard of living with much less effort. Over time, I could work at a level I would not consider extreme effort but still align my life and financial goals.
Anyways, I might have misunderstood your viewpoint. Happy to be corrected.

You (meaning you, Tom) can have kids and what that looks like is up to you. You have more money than me but as a upper-class father I can tell you this: kids are where the true joy comes in. Alongside a spouse that loves you (which you clearly have), nothing beats kids. I do see you evolving in this area, so one day, I hope it happens.

I do not care to consider the opinions of someone who actually thinks that you should be able to build a billion dollar business because they did.
Or you need to beat the other (lazy) 99% of losers to join the 1%. Some people might need to and want to hear that. I just hear someone insulting 99% of men as useless lazy losers.
Tom Bilyeu, I hope he does well in life, but him telling the guest what will happen in the future is just an example of the success fallacy. He sincerely believes that if you work hard enough, you will succeed. That is not the case, it certainly can be the case. But you should not give up and end you life if it doesn't work for you. Tom does not give 0.01% of the credit to luck. Luck is a SERIOUSLY LARGE contributor to success. Which means it cannot be predicted if your first customer in your new start up business ends up saving the business because they're a millionaire. And ended up giving you that jump start to be able to continue. No way to read the future. That is ACTUALLY impossible.

Tom's passion is business and making money. 90% of people don't have that innate passion, thus they don't have the work ethic that Tom has. You can't teach passion. I have a passion for working out, so it's easy for me to do that every day. I'm in great shape. But I have never had a passion for making lots of money or starting a business. So all this motivational stuff from Tom isn't going to do much. It's like trying to motivate people to work out every day. Either you have it or you don't.

So many ppl choose to be weak because it’s easy, being strong is hard.
This is why the world is in the state it’s in today. The world will not be destroyed by those who are evil as they are the minority, it will be destroyed by those who are weak.

How is looking at cats doom scrolling? I thought doom scrolling was binging negative or doomsday news articles and social media? I can imagine according to Tom, scrolling anything for too long is doom scrilling in his mind. Hence doom-scrolling cats haha

Great information man love it!!! FYI I love that this 3 hr video has less cut and paste/edited sections and fewer camera zooming or angle changes than the typical 15min TH-cam video literally. I appreciate that I believe it shows not only experience but excellence not having to conform to the norm. And that is only the video not even acknowledging the golden information shows you have a great team just like you explain thanks keep up the great work

This is now my most favorite video you have done! So you want to create the next Disney huh? I may have an idea you will like, PM me. Meanwhile I'm slowly working on my growth. Started with working out, now like to work out 12 hours a week. Next was intermittent fasting and working on diet. Currently looking into all things time blocking. Then about to move across the country to break some negative cycles and start working further down the list towards success!

Not about telling people how to live life but I think Tom is capable and equipped enough to balance children and business. But it's people like him who can really raise future generations of impact. To place your legacy in the hands of strangers is giving away your children's birth right and they're not in your lineage

I recall him addressing this indirectly in another video I watched where certain employees thought he was a fast thinker, but he said he processes information slowly and wishes he had higher fluid intelligence. What he does, however, is think deeply and long about things so that when he addresses things he’s thought deeply about, it appears fast.

With LOVE, this is your brain being petty. The answers whether prepared or not are GOLD. If you are right does that make you feel better, are you being right going to make you a better person, business man, healthier? I say this out of LOVE not criticism. So many of this do this. My self included. Let's cultivate a higher level.

This feels a bit double to me. Must you ALWAYS be productive and push yourself? It feels like being on guard and ready for anything at all time. (I'm not talking about situations where you are prepared and relaxed more like waiting for the next explosion during a war).Yes of course some things has to be done but this mentality would put me in so much stress. Balance is key in everything but scheduling your whole waken time sounds like a nightmare. There is work, there is rest/freetime and there is sleep. Divide those three in a healthy way and when you have to do those hard, dreadful and boring things do go all in and be disciplined. This to me feels like a very male perspective like "work hard play hard". It will burn you out in the long run.

Having concerns about something is not weakness. Expecting regulation and laws to protect people from the data rich tech industry is not weakness. I do not have to get ahead of criminal behaviour or a lack of ethics. it's like telling a SA victim to adapt or die after being assaulted; adaptation is only possible is adaption is welcome; if you lose your job and all jobs are obsolete, most people just aren't going to be able to deal with that. That's just the reality. This hype train is underestimating the power of this technology in one direction vs the consequences in others. It's not going to be an overlord; however it will hurt milllions of people; those people are not weak; they will be victims. Let's not get this twisted.

  • @brucejensen3081

I guess being strong and toxic is fine, if you dont have kids. Once you have kids you need to mellow and work smarter, not harder, or your kids will not want to breed. I suppose if you are too toxic, even with all the money in the world, it will be difficult to find someone that will want to breed with you.
