@@BangkokJack858 Tremendously! Yeah, if you only have 5 days or so, moving around can be overwhelming. Thanks again! I also really appreciate the breakdown of the beaches trips.
I completely WISHED that i watched this channel (this video) before i went to chiangmai. I was VERY LUCKY that i had a bright idea to suddenly visit "night bazaar" and that was actually the BEST decision i ever had during my 2 night stay @ CM. (I am completely honest to mention that CM is really not a place for me. It is too quiet - and this channel completely nailed it, unless you want to be a monk - ** DON'T ** stay inside of old city. there is really not much there and going to lively places is going to take you a few kilometers of walking through empty alley ways and traffic.)
At 500thb/person for a stroll through a few shops to see the long necks I would definitely never do that again..I understand that the longnecks rely totally on tourism dollars however maybe people would spend more on the crafts if not so much at the front ticket booth 🤷♂️
Hmm, so I was going to go to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket. This is going to be feb-mar which is when you said not to go to Chiang Mai. Any alternative recommendations for Chaing Mai?
@@daisyhughes9814 yeah it's annoying. Check out kanchanaburi instead maybe. If close to Bangkok and the nature is just as good - possibly better. Theres a bit less in terms of temples and nightlife but still grest
Hi, thanks for the video and useful informative feedback, quick question, do you think that traveling from Jan 17 to 31 it will be considered fire polluted season? please let me know before I purchase the flight ticket, thanks a lot, BEST Sebastian

Incredibly helpful! Especially the part about CM as a base. Saved me so much time!
Thanks! Yeah I think too many people overcomplicate their northern Thailand trip. Glad I could help!

Yeah its a complicated issue, but they could probably do a bit better if they were less pushy
All great tips! A shame I will only have 2 full days to explore this region but all this info are well noted

@@BangkokJack858 100%! With these tips, I sure will!!
Necks don't stretch very much. The rings around the neck push down the collarbones rather than elongating the neck.

Sucks! We wanted to go to chiang mai on march but the burning.😭

Is the night market worth visiting? It is ever night or only over the weekend?
Theres a few different ones. There is one that is open every night but a few specific ones on weekends only

Thank you for your tips! I’ll be visiting in November. Which specific area East of the town you recommend?
@@doraliseabreu4712 thanks. Thapae gate
is it ok to go towards the end of March or the smoke season would be still hitting too hard?
What is the elephant cafe you were going to recommend?
elely cafe
So which elephant sanctuaries are legit ethical?
It is not a tourist trap way not
Do not take the f*king train 🙄🤦♂️💯
Why not? which train did you take? did you get the sleeper?
@BangkokJack858 first time no second time yes. Better off just flying.
Airport taxis are fixed at 150bhat
Nimman has better bars and restaurants.
