When a song uses a word like "Willowing" you just know there's thought behind the message.
I got to see Pink Floyd perform this song, which they opened with in September 1987 at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia. I was 17 years old, and I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I never thought I would hear this song live ever. Good times! RIP JFK Stadium, Richard Wright, Bobby & Ruthie.
The real Pink Floyd🤘
Perhaps a song about all life on the entire planet. Starting in the depths of the oceans, spreading onto the land. The extended sound scape of hundreds of millions of years before Man. The the very short triumphant arrival of man played by Rick just a short blip before the silence returnd and the earth carries on without human beings.
The message, while we are here, we are all related and should be better to each other. Don't build walls open windows and call out across the sky.
