get a monitor arm and then you can move the studio display much easier around and don't have to deal with the mess that the stand creates (and you can use the space below the monitor as well). it's truly a game changer, trust me.
I'm guessing he doesn't want to do this for one reason. This just looks better. The monitor already has a very appealing looking stand, same colour as the monitor, symetrical (an arm won't be), clean minimalist design. I.e. This looks good, a monitor arm won't look as good.
what a phenomenal personal style and vibe --- with no reference to what it was before, I immediately felt drawn into the magic of the separated spaces. It's as if it has always been that way, wonderfully balanced. It's a well curated "I, Spy" book! And, that Vitsoe set-up is enviable!!!
I think you have a very unique vision. So the way you set up isnt conforming to contemporary times but actually extends beyond that, the screens and stuff are just quests, which is will come and go, but the rest of the space is timeless :) thank you for making these videos its very relaxing to watch!
Works great, I've never been a fan of desks against walls especially when you have a large window. A monitor desk stand would be a great idea to have the monitor pivot back and forth without having to pick it up, food for thought. ❤
You opened my mind, bro. I was struggle for a while on how to get "two desks" in the same space, you know? One to for the computer work and the other to draw, write and everything else. Always thought that if they were parallel to each other could be a good thing.. But this kind of set up of yours, thinking about two people kind of approach (different personalities that utilize the same space hah), made my mind expand on this ideia. I though also that if you put the monitor on an arm getting out of the wall could be a very good update. You rocked this, anyways. Thank you very much
The 606 is the most beautiful shelving system in the world (under my pov) with the permission of the String system, also very beautiful. I always wanted to have one unit but for now I feel it’s sooo expensive. I really like how you play with the furniture, different styles and, sincerely, complicated combinations. Your style is really unique and fresh and inspires me to keep experimenting as well. Exciting to see what’s the next. So fun!
I LOVE this setup ! this kind of configuration is really well thought out because you're not in front of the wall anymore haha. The whole vibe is so cosy and cool 🤩
I loveeeee your unconventional set up! I can imagine how fun it is to move things around and push the limits of where one furniture "should" be. What matters is that it feels like home and you have fun playing around with your layout. As an audience, I really enjoy all the different layout you've pulled off, it proves to me that the sofa is not limited to being infront of the TV, gives a fresh perspective! Just my personal opinion! ☺️ Thank you for giving us quality content, keeping it fresh and giving us thought provoking ideas!
It‘s your setup, not mine. You love it. Super! Be proud of it. For me, the USM Haller stuff I‘d throw out, same with balton. The Vitsoe I‘d use on both sides, Living space only sideboard level, working space full wall full height. TV I would throw out, nobody needs a TV today. The Big Glass Table would go out, too, too big. I‘d put most of your stuff in archive. Keep a few things. I love Thonet and would sit in a Thonet swinger lounge chair and have their little shelves hold accessories. Hifi would go onto a fit for purpose decoupling table, and/or on the vitsoe sideboard config in the living room. Your separation can be done with loudspeakers or with lounge chairs/sofa.
Congrats! It goes so well with all of your other stuff. That is my all time fav shelving unit. I don't think the monitor works so well there when you are sitting on the computer and would consider installing a wall mounted arm so you can angle it out when working. Beautiful place filled with wonderful stuff.
not even 1 minute in and I immediately subscribed because your aesthetic is *chef's kiss* ! I just moved in with my partner and have been documenting making over his place so I've be naturally ingesting so much design content lately and so stoked to find you!
I think a lot of commenters here are not seeing the flexibility of this layout. You can move things around when working lol 😅 I like this a lot actually, would be great inspiration if you live in a small studio space and cant fit both a diner table and a desk, or for a dual desk set-up where on the sides you have a tabletop as well. You have a great eye for design, keep it up.
I like the idea of using the low shelves as separation but personally I couldn't sacrifice the seat facing the TV. Also I think the corner to the right of the desk could be improved, it feels a bit cluttered. First thought is to move the piece of furniture with the coffee stuff out of there and put a square piece of furniture against the wall where flower painting is. Could be a good corner for your records + turntable.
Gosh man I love your style so mush, that mid century/modern design pieces are so gooood. I'd love to have enough money to style my bedroom like this too. Btw in my opinion the USM consolle looks better under the window, just my opinion tho. Keep it up love ur content so much!!!!!!!!!
I think the best change here is that your desk is no longer facing the wall. So much nicer to work having the window as the background! Even at night, the space behind it makes it less claustrophobic. I never understood people who sit facing a wall to work!
I'm no interior designer, but I would add maybe a room divider or a waist high bookcase to serve as the separator between your workdesk and your living space.
Your space looks amazing! The only thing I'd change is investing in a monitor arm. What is the make and model of your brown office chair? It looks super comfy.
Great setup dude! I have similar layout (side window, open space living room and workspace), except mine is reversed. Thanks for sharing, I got a lot of new ideas from this video.
It would seem every design enthusiast gravitates towards MCM iconic pieces…typically an architects own home reveals the dimension beyond design 101. The ultimate objective is to derive joy
There's a lot of turning of heads in this layout to see the screens (including the TV). Aesthetic over function, traditional modern over practical modern, less digital, more human...which I think this place is more about. Nice place.
Wonderful as always. I wonder, when you upgrade/switch out furniture, what do you do with the other ones? Move it to a different place in your home, sell it, store it somewhere?
Most of the time, I end up selling the pieces I get! A lot of what I have is thrifted, which makes the whole ‘furniture hunt’ even more fun. What I love about thrifting is that most of the items retain their value, and I’ve even made money on some of the pieces I’ve decided to sell 👍🏼👍🏼
They are really expensive but the quality can’t be touched. This unit is something that will outlive all of us. Seems like everything this guy has is heirloom quality, but if I were his son I would be pining for the vitsoe and that USM shelf 😬
No desktop should cost $6000. It's crazy. You can get a better electric desk for $500 and it lasts ten years, so it becomes cheaper to buy a new desk every ten years than to buy that one for $6k. Although if he really likes the design, go for it. Otherwise, nothing explains the price tag on that desk. It's more like LV, Gucci etc. the price is high just for the brand. However, it's worth remembering that it all depends on your income level, and some people are willing to pay $6,000 just for the look of a table, although in this case the design of the table doesn't even convince me, but for some people it's probably the best design they could ever think of.
The desk setup looks fantastic. I also like how you have the coffee setup near the workspace, but how do you handle not having a sink nearby? Isn't it a problem when you rinse/clean/discard the equipment & leftovers? I have mine in the kitchen but I don't like how much space it takes there, I would prefer moving it to my office instead.

@@arne_mh I also don't think he want any stress on the wood
i love clutter that's embraced in a warm, dim light. it makes everything feel like it's in its right place.
like radiohead
Didn't think you could make the place look even better. Great job man!
thanks buddy 🙏🏻
It seems whenever you change your space, I love it…I think I just love your style and taste!!🩵
appreciate you :)
The pops of bright colours in this spaces is so satisfying to see. Gorgeous.

Really nice, I love that your space excapsulates eveything from the more deluxe designclassics to the more affordable IKEA-furnitures.
can’t go wrong with timeless pieces 👍🏼
Very inspiring interior design! I appreciate how the colours and lights layer upon each other.

Everything looks so cool man, that side big ass window is just too beautiful
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I love those isometric shots of the desk and coffee area near the end of the video. The nighttime setup looks gorgeous with the added lighting.
its a vibe especially with the lamps :)
This new layout screams awesome and good vibes to me. I love love love all kinds of arrangements!!!

excellent choice installing the vitsoe desk on the wall. nice configuration and styling.👌🖤✨
A nice touch is that it is pretty easy to hide any wires within the tracks which hold the system up
Aw man, I love your unconventional ways of designing your space. I’ve used your ideas to layout so many of my spaces!
i love your style, the vibes are unparalleled

606 is always a pretty good choice. Got mine second hand and i love it even with some scratces :)
beautiful, these things last forever

It’s beautiful 😍👍.
Love it. IMO you should mount the monitor on an arm so you can easily swing it in and out!
Looks great!

Loooooooove your new setup, what are the dimensions of the desk itself? it's fundamentally perfect
I really love your place
