+Lou Cypher I mostly agree. I think Nagash was better than Galder. But Tjodalv?! He was not that good of a drummer. He was sloppy, not creative at all, and never kept time well. He always sounded like he was struggling to just get through the songs. I feel like he held them back musically. But that's just my opinion. Why do YOU like him so much? Just curious.
+jamdwhi hi! sorry for this long silence. So, I don' t like Tjodalv so much as a drummer, but he's a former member of the first Dimmu Borgir and i think he cooperated in the writing process of the early masterpieces. that's all. next drummers are surely better, but the music is worse in my opinion...
Indeed, but prerecorded on this tour. Mustis never played this intro Live in fact. Asked him myself. It was just the studio intro, so the band could chill out for a bit. After they found out Stian had just loaned the intro from the Magnum song, they stopped playing the intro, when they performed it on the 'Puritanical tour' again. The only times they played it Live, was in Germany, Sweden and Norway 1997 w. Stian on keys. Kimberly Goss didn't play it either, for the rest of the tour in Italy, Czech Republic, Netherlands, France etc.
Super! when i was 22 - my youth, when 1 year earlier in 1997 Dimmu Borgir blows my mind with "Enthroned darkness triumphant" - and still it is my favourite album.
@@harryhirsch8527 He is right..i still love Dimmu but back in 90 they was one of the best black metal bands.but still Dimmu is my one of the favorite metal bands
Recuerdo ni adolescencia, llegando a casa de noche y antes de dormir leer a García Márquez y de fondo las rolas de Dimmu Borgir tronando en mi pequeño boombox
How come people pay so much tribute to Mustis in these comments. The piano/keyboard at this concert was playback taken straight from the Stormblåst album. And all piano parts on it were possibly stolen or written by Stian, thats why the new Stormblåst album barely had any of the piano parts played the same way as the original.
Stian fucked up Stormblast album with his ripoffs and in this live concert the intro was prerecorded, Mustis never played this song live and Dimmu Borgir stopped playing the piano intro once they found out Stian Aarstad had stole it from another artist without crediting. That is why they recorded Stormblast MMV in 2005, a remake without the stolen parts.
I wish they still performed the piano intro to this song the song just is missing the mood it had with the intro great video this song sounds awesome at this gig
ICS Vortex wasn't in the band in that album. The bass player at that time was Nagash.Vortex joined the band in the year 2000 or 2001 and his first album with the band was Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia But the Spiritual Black Dimensions is one of their greatest album ever, no doubt about it. Actually, in my opinion, it's the last of their golden era.
@gameruy21 Couldn't agree more, man. They were one of my fav's until the year 2000. And Stormblast, along qith Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, are two of the greatest BM masterpieces EVER. I miss those glorious years.
its a good song on one of there many albums even if there new albums are not considered TRUE black metal i find myself able to headbang to them? why is this? cause there still GOOD!!
One of the best songs by Dimmu Borgir
Mike Bokma to me,the best!!
Mike Bokma
NOSTALGIA \,,/,
Mike Bokma absolutely I love the original stormblast album regardless of what anyone says.
Stormblast na veia. Nostalgia sempre...
@@hellfire8883 Fuck. Yes. DUDE! Samesees!!!!
Still giving me goosbumps! All hail Dimmu Borgir
I think this is the best DIMMU BORGIR song of all time, it's perfect. I'm addicted to this song
best dimmu song is always gonna be mourning palace
Same
@@tor1189 Nah.. Mourning Palace is great don't get me wrong, but it doesn't beat this.
th-cam.com/video/HoGxAeJ_WQE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uicvPNjcjY3UcRil
The best is Mourning Palace.
...without doubt the best Dimmu Borgir. Tjodalv, Nagash and the songs until Enthroned Darkness... Not the ridiculous line up and albums of today...
...But I still love them
+Odin Warknowledge definitely agree!!

*WHEN THE BAND WAS DRIVEN BY AGGRESSION AND NOT MONEY, THOSE WERE THE DAYS MAN*
like you work for free
Yes man, and you are living from air and love 😂
and everyone have written normally, not bold....
That's stupid wishy-washy hippy dippy bullshit nonsense. No one works for free. People who work for free are also known as morons. Or slaves.
You guys are missing the point. Nowadays dimmu is all gimmicks and are only in it for the money. Back then they wrote just for the sake of music.
To me this is the Real Dimmu !
I'm retarded too
Shargrath's voice was soooo much better back then
+Harald Baldr (Men's Magazine) it is not Shagrath
+Alanís Fotografía ?
+Harald Baldr (Men's Magazine) it is don't listen to him
Harald Baldr yup... i guess singing like that takes its toll after a while
true !!!
beautiful piano intro
Not must be called beautiful, is, teatrical, misterious, of fear, depressive and more...
yup. cool but stolen.
Cool but not original. They copied Sacred Hour from Magnum
Yeah, it was copied from Magnum, but it's much better. Dimmu basically did them a favor.
Indeed, but prerecorded on this tour. Mustis never played this intro Live in fact. Asked him myself. It was just the studio intro, so the band could chill out for a bit. One of their best songs. Greets from Finlandia

Les tengo un aprecio especial a las canciones que tocaron en este show, fue la primera vez que escuchaba Dimmu Borgir y quedé impresionado.
Stormblast escuche en este mismo concierto y me sello allá por el 1999
Man, this is pure gold! Love this song
Old dimmu line-up was also killer !
Today is just... fancy shit.
Old Dimmu was the true Dimmu

Really envious of those having the chance to see them during those time 😔
Esto si era el autentico Dimmu Borgir, una de las mejores alineaciones.
OLD TRUE DIMMU BORGIR......EPIC BLACK METAL
Cerrar los ojos y dejarte llevar por esa intro........ Grande Dimmu!!!!
My favorite DB song!
Stormblast and Spiritual Black Dimensions are my favorites. But,i think that Enthrone Darkness Triumphant is their best.
Only Stormblast & Spiritual Black...

verdadeira obra de arte
Mustis arrived in 1998. There was session player Kimberly Goss after Stian and then Mustis came, so this is Mustis

álbum de culto grandes recuerdos permanecen en mi memoria con esta pieza
What a captivating performance by one of my favorite big bands. Stormblast as a whole was mind-blowing and incredible.
Best intro ever!!!
Enthrone Darkness Triumphant IS the greatest BM album ever. It was one of the first BM albums i have ever heard back in 2005, but still unbeatable
This is from stormblast, but that album you mentioned it's amazing too
Hecking Awesome!!
If Dimmu comes up in conversation, I have to specify I LOVE Dimmu
..up to around the early 2000s. Old Dimmu is incredible.

If your baby doesn’t want to sleep play him this song
Amazing Vocal
Back when they had a real bass player and a tight drummer.
The Geat this is nowhere tight. Nick Barker, Hellhammer and Nino Laureano are all miles better than this guy.
I love this video💖

Monumental
Hino das profundezas
Mustis, Astennu and Vortex should've started their own band. I'd listen to that.
I feel so Nostalgic...they had so many great songs in the mid to late 90s,,,after 2001 they have gone downhill....
@NocturnoPt As do i, friend, as do i. Only those of us who lived that era will ever truly understand. Horns up.
i like almost every album by dimmu for their own reason. but there first 5 up till puritanical was the best
