I was 13 years old with the biggest crush on Bobby Vee. He was so much a part of my innocence and love of music during my teen years. I loved him so much! RIP sweet man!

Saw him on a package show, late in his career. Absolutely wonderful performer; full of showmanship and sunshine; and I'm basically a blues fan, really enjoyed his show, seems like a nice guy, too.
This music brings me back to a time where you felt those songs to the soul. 🎶🎵🎶 "Rubber Ball" still brings me back to one of my favorite summers! 🏖 Bobby Vee, thanks for the great, musical memories! RIP, to one of the great ones! ❤❤❤ 😢
I was in radio for 23 years and Bobby was the nicest talent I ever met. Got to MC a few of his shows and wrote a condolence when he passed and got a personal response from his son which I treasured.
I had the pleasure of seeing Bobby Vee on a uk concert a few years ago . The stage door after was besieged with fans including myself . Everyone was told he’d left through the front . And they all went running , but me !!! Sure enough he came out of the stage door and I got my autograph 😂😂😂
he was one of the very best.....he was sort of a protege of Buddy Holly....when Holly died in the plan crash in Iowa, in 59, Vee was playing with a band in Fargo ND.... near the planned next venue in Minnesota, for the tour group Holly was with, before he died. Vee and his group was asked to help fill in as the promoters went ahead with the show, as a tribute to the dead stars. That, according to Vee, is where he got his big break and thus went on to be a skuper star in the 60s.... I have an original 60s album which he re corded with the Crickets, dong all Holly songs...its a wonderful album. The story of his connection to Holly is narriated inside the album and I have remembered this over all the years. Holly, and others became my inspiration to take up the quitar later, and spent my high school years and many thereafter, playing old time rock and roll and country music. We even got to front for Crystal Gayle once, played on the Teen Jamboree 64 with Bobby Bare and Johnny Tilliston, and even got meet and talk personally with John Lennon in 64. I think that, listining to that Bobby Vee album over and over, led me into playing music and many many great opportunities and memories.
Bobby Vee sounds a bit like Buddy Holly as well. The aircraft crash definitely did NOT kill the music. I believe it had the opposite effect and made kids start listening to Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, Dion and the Belmonts and the Big Bopper. The Beatles' Ed Sullivan Show and the tragedy of the Winter Dance Party, aircraft crash have created more musicians than any other events. By the way, what was John Lennon like?
Yes, you nailed it. It was not the day the music died, but very possibly the day it was reborn. Vee made an tribute album to Buddy in the early 60s and I still have the original i bought as he recorded it with Holly;s band, the Crickets and did a lot of those famous songs. You can hear it on the tube by going to Bobby Vee and the Crickets.
Great story. Other than using video of a military aircraft accident on a mountainside, while describing the Buddy Holly plane crash which was a small private plane that crashed in a corn field in Iowa.
IS LINDA THOMAS THE NAME OF THE GIRL TO BOBBY'S LEFT? IS SHE STILL ALIVE? IS LAUREN MONTGOMERY, THE GIRL ON BOBBY'S LEFT, FROM BURLINGTON, IOWA? WHAT DID SHE PASS AWAY FROM ?
Bob Dylan saw one of The Winter Dance Party events if I remember correctly? There were other future artists besides Bobby Vee and Dylan who had the chance to see them if I remember correctly?
Bobby Vee made some of the greatest records of the early ‘60s. R. I.P. Bobby.
One of the first two records I ever bought was Take Good Care of My Baby.
Bless your memory Bobby. 🙏

Great singer Bobby Vee was and sure had a sound all his own, true talent.
This guy is awesome. RIP, Bobby
Bobby Vee was one of the greatest. Wish I could have met him and tell him that in person
We've seen his son Robby perform twice and he puts on a great tribute show honoring his Dad.
Is there any videos here of Bobby's sons, doing the tribute show?
Are their names, Robby and Tommy?
Remembering... Its a nice thing to do. Remembering the good times all over again... And thats what I'm doing, Remembering YOU. Love Carol

Que maravilla saber de body y estar vigente hoy .un aplauso para el .generacion unica de los 60 .
"The Night Has a 1000 Eyes," is my all time favorite Bobby Vee song. The lyrics are almost haunting but the melody is pure 60's pop music!
This was my era ....talk about a music crush ...loved his songs 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
This is fantastic
Loved him so much!!

Bobby Vee is the pure Buddy Holly.
My favorite album is Bobby Vee meets the Crickets.
Lucky boy, lovely life…
Love Bobby. He was so loyal to Buddy Holly's memory.
Great story. Other than using video of a military aircraft accident on a mountainside, while describing the Buddy Holly plane crash which was a small private plane that crashed in a corn field in Iowa.
Great songs he had.
He was a lefty like I am
His idol was Buddy Holly, and his voice reminds me of Buddy.
Well I liked Bobby Vee, but the subtitles to this video are hilarious.
Love Bobby❤️❤️❤️🤩
... and he has a ready-made band with his sons!
Was the album of unreleased material ever finally released?
Buddy Holly died on the 3rd of Feb 1959 not the 2nd.
Really nice video but has anyone noticed that the sub-scripts are often worded COMPLETELY different from what is actually being said?
it's a bot that only prints out what it hears.
I’m your big fan ^^

before Bob Dylan became famous, he would tell people that he was Bobby Vee.

@@drjerry5389 Dylan would even tell his cousins that he was Bobby Vee. 😁
@@robertmartinez4174 It reminds me of my cousin who told me, he was Frank Zappa's son?
@@robertmartinez4174 It reminds me of my brother who used amphetamine in his early 20s. He told me he was Frank Zappas son!
Good video / incredibly BAD CAPTIONING ! LOL !!
To me Bobby Vee topped Elvis. Great material.
