What gift to have buddy’s family members share their cherished memories ❤️
RIP peggy sue and Travis Holley
I'm sure Buddy had a great sense of humor like Travis. This is great.
Travis had a wicked sense of humour, eh. Gold when he said he was “glad to be anywhere, but this is a real treat”.
So glad that Travis enjoyed this.
I currently own a guitar that was built by Travis Holley.
Another of The Greatest Generation gone. Rest in Peace Mr Holley.
December 1, 2016, two months ago. Buddy's other brother Larry survives.
snappycattimesten Rip Travis and Buddy
Actually Buddy and Travis were part of what is called the 'silent' generation, the next generation after the GI/Greatest generation
@@rotunda57 update- Larry Holley just died in April 2022
In my mind and heat Buddy was and IS the best Rock N Roller and would have been the KING OF ROCK N ROLL. I am 40 years old and have loved Buddy Holly's music "Rave On" Buddy Then, Now and forever.
Scott Head I agree he was the true King of Rock n Roll
Buddy sure did favor his older brother Travis a whole lot. I imagine that's what Buddy would have looked like in his older age had he have lived
Travis himself told me he was the model for Buddy's statue in Lubbock.
Loved this interview. Ya...old age sucks.
Buddy Holly was an important innovator with an amazingly long influence for such a short albeit quite prolific song writing career. It wasn't just the fact that he died so young as others have too died young but not had such a lasting impression. Even Terry Pratchett featured him in a wishful thinking way in the disc world novel Soul Music.
Thank you dad for introducing me to this man's music.
That interviewer really stepped in it when he brought up flying.
Garrison thanks so much for you to come to Lubbock and tape the show here.Enjoyed it very much!
R.I.P Buddy Holly 1936-1959
Memories burnished by time. An eternal name: Buddy Holly
Mr.Travis Holly had an awesome sense of humor..
Peggy Sue has also passed-RIP
Buddy holly plan crash I have uncle said body was mess up uncle said buddy holly very nice guy
Gettin old sucks. Classic!
I don't know if Travis ever tried show business. But he's a pretty comical guy with a great sense of humor❤
To hell with Norman Petty. We would still have Buddy right now if it wasn't for his money laundering.
Norman Petty was the "Allen Klein" of the 50's. (Allen Klein ripped off a lot of people, most notably The Beatles and The Rolling Stones)
Larry seems like a real swell guy!
Samuel Feynman Tribute page indeed!!
i prefer the older music this crap today is .crap
i was so sad i wasn't able to be there for this, but i loved listening to this broadcast while driving around Lubbock.
Travis has a killer sense of humor....
They are both Awesome!
Listened to this on Iowa Public Radio yesterday and here it is on youtube today! Great!!!
My home town!!!
This is wonderful! Wish I could find the copy of the way they did "Rave On" after this, was so great!!!
Just watched that video. Congrats on a major score!

Check the link in the description! (We can't post links in the comments.)
Love this
This interview should have been hours.
All the great ones have left us for the most part but aren't we lucky to have rap music and such great talent like Justin bieber. That was sarcasm.
exactly
Jeff Stevenson We still have Jerry Lee Lewis and Don Everly of the Everly Brothers but that's about it unfortunately
Not forgetting Cliff Richard lol
Thanks!
Yes!! I'm from Iowa , and we still love to go get cokes!!?! God bless you pegE. Sue, !!Well , great .now I'm first time falling in love with buddy like you did. !! And the whole world 🌍!! He never really left' none of do leave, I believe, when our bodies break, it doesn't affect our spirit.tjx for privelage
Lol great❤
Travis is my kinda man, may he rest in peace with Jesus
Great interview I have been playing and singing Buddy Holly songs for 31 years my girlfriend just asked me if I could have stopped that airplane crash of Buddy Holly Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper or stop Elvis Presley from dying which one I would pick and that was on March 28th 20/20 I said well Elvis was fat and didn't really care anymore and she said Buddy Holly would have came up with a whole lot more great rock and roll songs!!! Rocky and the Hurricane's TH-cam it
They both have since passed away :-(
Getn old suks
Most likely, Travis and Larry don't have to worry anymore about recalling memories of Buddy, because they are both probably WITH him now, in Heaven. Jesus Saves.
LOL! Old sucks! How true!
I didn't know she died!
did peggy sue have a recurring dream that buddy holly died in a plane crash months before it happened?
I 100% agree with you Bubba Lang Jackson and I'm 32 :)
What does being age 32 have to do with anything?
Why does GK have to be all up in his face? Is he hard of hearing and blind?? I hope his breath is fressssssshhhhhh.
only person alive today is buddy holly sister
No, his oldest brother Larry is.
OM’K.
Mostly scripted by the interviewer obviously.
Diese Peggy Sue hätte viel besser zu Holly gepasst als Elena.
Omg this is so precious. Thank you for sharing 😭😍
