some games ryzen 5 5500 makes more fps but if you have a tight budget go for ryzen 5 4500 if u have extra dollars then go for ryzen 5 5500 for my opinion guys

The Ryzen 5500 is almost on par with the Ryzen 3600, so the 5500 would have significantly higher FPS compared to the 2600X

@@MrMrGuy Only if I'm pairing them with an RTX 4090. Which would make no sense. Using a midrange GPU from 2-3 generations ago, which makes sense, won't yield much difference between them.

I think the pcie gen 3 on the 4500 is the biggest downside and maybe the low l3 cache is the cause for the low 1%

what people have to understand is both of these cpus are the bottleneck so the performance is only better on the 5500 because there is less bottleneck

​@@kris33451id say the perfomence would be equal on both if the 4500 had pcie gen 4 support, the biggest difference being the 1% lows because of the pretty low L3 cache. Its still a good cpu and definitly the best for price/performence.
