Audacity is one word for it. Actually, sad to say, most of the Democrat leadership is dumber than rocks. They make the exact same dumb mistakes over and over and over. Not even joking. Any time the mass media tells you the republicans did something.. they did that exact thing, guaranteed. Back in the day, they would put fluffy nonsense on the news, to distract people from whatever they were trying to get away with. I think no matter how divided the two sides are Cheatle's handling was truly incompetent, and especially given the type of job she has and what is demanded, what transpired was a wake up call and mobilized the two parties to find out how it failed.

Believe me. They're still divided. It was clear to me who was a dem/lib and who wasn't. The dems all spoke about gun violence to Cheatle despite her being able to do nothing about it. Which I think is an audacious waste of time. And the reps and very few dems actually devoted their time to railing Cheatle.

But the stats on mass shootings in 2023, & 2024 to date, should make everyone sick & be plainly obvious that this is also an issue of access to weapons of war by nut bars.
While she is obviously the least qualified in the room she is not the only one not doing her job correctly, this investigation makes me question the usefulness of this oversight committee.

I think any congress member who mentioned or spoke at length about banning guns and weapons of war instead of meaningfully contributing to getting to the bottom of this failure and oversight, should issue a public apology. I also recommend they go and study the events of the prohibition. I am reasonably convinced that this "bipartisan" hearing was only bipartisan so the dems could spread their anti-gun propaganda. What’s crazy is the local cops and the secret service were on separate radio frequencies. So when the local cops found the shooter, there was no quick way to alert the secret service to it and get him off the stage. So the shooter did that job for them. What an absolute logistical joke.

And the reason is each agency has their own encrypted coms for obvious security reasons, but the fact that there wasn’t a safety clear channel between agencies was just a pure logistical failure. Security at a rock concert has better communication logistics.

This isn't her first job out of high school and guarding Doritos was never her job (security for corporate facilities was though) and is just a ridiculous statement to make, conversely its interesting that while lacking tactical experience Pat Fallon runs a company that sells tactical gear and apparel, Furthermore, Rep. Fallon's job as a House Representative seems have him ranked as one of the 3 worst Texas legislators in 2015 and quoted by D Magazine as "having a lawyerlike relationship with the truth" and was "vindictive, and he’ll say anything to get what he wants". On the flip side, Donald Trump held the G-7 at one of his properties (which he clearly profited from) and received $7.8 million in payments from foreign governments during two of his four years in the White House all while lying about not taking a salary as President.
