    The aluminum paddles compliment the interior so well honestly

    You removed the airbag so easily lmao. It is literally impossible to do no matter how hard I tried in my a3. Kudos

      Don’t get me wrong it’s extremely tricky and takes a few tries but gotta be patient haha. It’s very easy to get frustrated with it

    Love how you unclip the airbag so quickly lol. My buddy installed an alcantara airbag only on his a3 wheel and it took him no joke maybe 1 hour per side to undo and almost debated just going to a shop.

    • @DArias
      @DArias  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It’s super tricky to do tbh haha I got lucky and was able to figure it out quickly but many others I know of spend a lot of time releasing the clips. Or when one side pops out the other goes back in etc. big pain

    Thank you, your tutorial really helped me in undoing the trim and removing paddles. And I really like your aluminum paddles, they look sick.

    • @DArias
      @DArias  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Glad to help man! I do love the look too. I didn’t know if I was gonna like it but it really makes all the aluminum trim inside the cabin pop more with these paddles

    Hey thanks for the video! I just recently ordered these for my S5 and didn’t see many other people with the same paddles, glad to see the install was easy and that they look great! Also, I wonder if a chest cam rig or go pro head set up would help you be hands free during these videos, just some food for thought!

    • @DArias

      Make sure you’re using a flathead with a decent size head and use your hand to pull the airbag while you pry

    • @S3Ranj

      @@DArias my fingers are killing 😭 I'm going to try again! Your pushing the spring up right, for release?

    • @DArias
      @DArias  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes you take the flathead in the hole and you pry it up. You know you’re doing it correct when yo used the airbag start to move on the wheel and when you pry it the airbag will begin to pop out. It’s super tricky and takes a few tries

    On the product page you linked (VWR493001), it mentions the paddles do not fit the "sport steering wheel". I also have a 2017 S3 and want to make sure they fit. The instructions also differ and say you only need to pull a single pin rather than the lengthy process in this video. The page has a link to the "sport steering wheel" paddles (VWR494100), and I'm not sure which ones to get. Could you confirm which paddles you purchased? They look amazing!

    • @DArias

    Great video! Very informative. I also purchased a set for my rs3 but haven’t installed them yet. Playing around with them in the meantime I had a question. Do you find that your finger tips get caught in those large square wholes or do they usually go past those wholes and rest on the flat surface while shifting/driving ? Thanks!
