Scenery, wildlife, history. This place has it all. Relax, and check out this incredible location. There is also a casino & horse racing for action. Zip lines for adventure. Hiking & exploration. History from Billy The Kid, Smoky Bear, and the first detonation of the Atomic Bomb.
Love New Mexico. Was stationed at Cannon Air Force Base, Clovis NM for 3 years. Got to do a lot of hunting and exploring. Great state.
It was great growing up there but don’t skip Yellowstone & the Tetons. I still think it’s the best, but I do still want to retire in the mountains of New Mexico. ☺
I visited Ruidoso 2 months ago & already miss it! It just feels so peaceful over there even walking around downtown & by the lake💕
Very peaceful and pretty. Love all the big trees, streams, wildlife. We always regretted having to move. Life is full of curve balls & surprises. Great memories for times when needed. 😊 Glad my movie brought you some. 😉
@@MooseAndersonProductions Yeah ran into some horses 🐎 on my way to the lake & seen 🦌deer around there. I only live 2 hours away so I can visit anytime but you should move back if that's where your ❤heart belongs:)
There has been some talk! 😁@@cocoxtina8366
I live in Ruidoso
My brother and I actually feel moving away was the worst thing our family did. 😭 You are so lucky. I actually talked to a girl that was a teacher and had moved away, but came back to be able to be around for her parents. I know when I lived in Sarasota, FL., I got bored with th beach. I could see where some might take the mountains for granted, or not like the small town thing. I would take the mountains & Ruidoso over the beach any day…that’s just me. I miss my friends there, and creep on them online from time to time! 🤣 Not even sure if they think of me, but I think of them, and Ruidoso all the time. Stay put! You are Blessed! 😊
I had been coming to Ruidoso all my life as well..I knew I wanted to live here! Coming from flat farmland Plainview Texas! I finally was able to make the move in November of 2022! Took me a lifetime to get here it seems! I’ll be 63 in September 2024. I’m finally home! 🙌🏻👍🏼🎈🎉😁✝️
That’s crazy and shows what a small world it really is. My mom moved from Ruidoso to Dimmitt and lived there forever! My stepdad ran the Case Tractor there. We often regretted moving, but life…it throws curve balls! 😂 My door closed and yours opened! I would love to be there. You’re Blessed! 😊
From LA to Vegas to Here. I luv
Ruidoso! Semi wild horses come to my door for an apple or 2.
Nice to kick back and smell the pine after a summer shower! 😊
@@MooseAndersonProductions from LA smog to Vegas dust to clean, healthy air.
Beautiful …. Thank you ❤
Thank you Margie. I miss it dearly. 🥰
God’s country. Gathered cattle in that very country. I miss it.
LOL. It was a fantastic place to grow up! It did lead me to attend New Mexico Military Institute for 4 years, and endless memories & stories…for both places! 🤣
Thank you.I grew up with a cabin here and I am a huge Billy the kid fan.Great,fishing,skiing.
We used to haul them out of the river by hand! Just kids having fun. When we did use a hook, we easily caught our limit! 😁
I used to live in Las Cruces in 2002 briefly and we drove to Ruidoso a few times for snowboarding. I loved that little town.
I like Cruces! Almost went to school there. Sometimes I wish I would have. 🤫
Love New Mexico, glad I was able to enjoy it. Love California and Oregon also. We share a beautiful earth.
Oregon coast is on my bucket list!😁
Thanks for the video. Never considered that area.
There is a lot of historical sites all around, not to mention the beautiful mountains, trees and wildlife. Thanks for watching Severe! 😊
Great Video. I will use it in preparation when I travel to New Mexico.
It is a beautiful state with lots of beauty & history. Thanks for the compliment on the video Vadim!
Ive been living in Carrizozo for 11 years and i saw this i had to watch it because even i appreciate the beauty there.❤
I really miss living there. Our family believes the worst thing we ever did was move away. I would take Carrizozo any day over Owasso! I will always be attached deeply to New Mexico! 🥰
Love the seasons of New Mexico.
Much better than the 100 degree days in Oklahoma! 🤣
Awesome video and incredible views. I grew up visiting here and have missed it ever since. This video definitely seals the deal for me on getting a place here in the future!
I hear you Inferno. I’d be glad to have a shack in the woods. Hopefully under $500,000! 🤣 If I can beat Father Time, I WILL retire here, and nothing against Oklahoma, but I left my heart in Ruidoso!
Wow😍..so beautiful ,thaks a lot !I will go there r fosure with God s .maybe next year ❤❤❤
I bought some land north of Ruidoso...never knew how beautiful it's there, appreciate the video !
CONDOLEANCES !Always hard when loose a loved one🥺,May the Lord give you peace and strenght ,Amen !
It gives me joy knowing you have land close by and will get to visit from time to time! 😁 We are all Blessed, whether we know it, or not! The Lord gives us all peace, as well as beauty. He even gave me a way to show appreciation for having been Blessed with a good mom. I know she is watching my movies from Heaven, since she missed them on earth. They have touched a few lives even…hopefully it earns me a few God Brownie Points! 😉 Thanks for your kind words. 🫎
Looks like a nice place to retire to
I would gladly retire and work for minimum wage in a gift shop. Probably would take an even trade for my house here, for a cabin in the canyon! 😁
Fantastic.
It’s a great area and I will never forget my friends I had to leave behind. 🥲
@@MooseAndersonProductionsMy grandparents and their parents and my dad and uncle and cousins were all from Capitan. My grandad Lewis E Cummins was the principle of Capitan High and my dad and uncle were state champs in hoops. They both beat Albuquerque for the title.
In high school. I ran out of gas in Lincoln, and someone from Capitán, gave me a ride to get some and took me back! Saved my tail.@@rumpleshiznit
🎉
Ohhh I have partied here many times. Young & dumb…but what a ride! 🤣
That lake is on the Mescalero Apache Reservation. Lake Mescalero.
It’s beautiful. The current situation there is gut wrenching. Prayers go out to all the locals! Some I went to school with. Just terrible.
Ruidosoans say the bikers coming to town gives them something to look forward to. Sunday afternoon….when they leave! 🤣
🤣😂🤣😂I bet! Not exactly a peaceful, serene, sound. Out of place in a quiet mountain town. Maybe they’ll stick to Red River! 😂🤣😂🤣
everything was beatiful except back phone music
Thanks Comp! I promise to work on the music. That’s probably the toughest part on TH-cam. ☹
Good film but to much music
Thanks Chris. You are probably right. I was just afraid it would be boring listening to me drone on. I really don’t like my voice. Like, the music is the lesser of the two evils? Also it blocks out the people talking around me. I just did the same thing on my new Yellowstone movie. Sorry. Maybe on my next film I’ll use it more sparingly. Thanks for the compliment, as well as the honesty. They both help. 😉
could stand it better w/out crappy "music"!
Me too!
The background music makes this otherwise great video unwatchable. I lasted about 20 minutes.
The choices are less than desirable. ☹ Really not fond of it myself.
Mute it like I did.
😂🤣😂🤣 Thanks Sharon! Really did make me laugh! I too hate the “free” music, as well as my voice! I used non free music on my Yellowstone music and I still can’t seem to make everyone happy. Next time I’m going to try less music but wind noise drives me crazy so I may have to talk more. Again, I hate my voice! Just can’t seem to win. 😂 Blake Shelton singing the hits of AC/DC?@@sheronlee152
@@MooseAndersonProductions I don't mind no music or sound as I'm very familiar with southern New Mexico. It was very nostalgic since it's been a while that I've been up there. I just enjoyed the scenery.
Peace & quiet. All that is missing is the smell of the pine. 🥰@@sheronlee152
Interesting. After the Bastrop Tx fire in 2011 it took 3 years to plant 1million pine trees and they’re thriving. Someone there should contact the Arbor Day foundation to get new trees.
I wonder if they are doing anything different because it is part of the Reservation and not US land? It just blew my mind and made me sick. I know this is the new direction for forest fires...to let it burn, but it is just heartbreaking. I think of how many generations of people are missing out on the beauty of this area.
