    I'm unclear about the shoulder meas/sleeve to sleeve. Where on the wrist should the kimono fall? When is the shoulder meas. too large IN CENTIMETERS, as that is what most kimono seem to be measured in?

    hi, I just wanna know about tuck sewn kimono sleeve for furisode that usually worn by maiko. Are their length sleeves was based on their height? cuz I have some furisode and nagajuban for furisode that has too long sleeves for me.. I wanna adjust based on my height but I don't know where should I start to tuck the sleeves

      I'm so sorry but I'm not the best person to answer this. There is a great Facebook group called Global Kimono, where many of the members are well-studied on maiko and geisha. Check them out - I think you'd find it really helpful. Good luck.

    .Is it safe to say that the sleeve to sleeve measurement can be equal to the hip or waist ?

      Well, not always. I haven't found there to be any ratio between the measurements - keep in mind that most vintage kimono were custom-made for the original owners. So it's tailored to her measurements, whoever she was....
