Magic starts at 21:30 - my goodness... that Gadd take on paradiddles, rolls, flams and flam taps. Best there is and will be. Sikke et bekendtskab Eddi. Alt godt herfra. Nygaard.
Remarkable synergy you three have. There's no ego at play at all, just three souls playing as one. Absolutely wonderful. Music, the most stellar of human achievements, and the three of you carry this with tremendous elegance.
@@MichaelBlicher My pleasure, good sir. I hope you know and are proud of the magic you have achieved. The way you three listen to each other is truly beautiful. I can't wait to have your music in my collection!
Impressive story, ist shows great musicans remaining "normal" humans, I follow Steve Gadd since 1972 and he' s still my favourite drummer........ thanks to all of them !
ooooohhhh... really really lovely.... i saw them at nottingham and i could not believe my eyes ... it was a great pleasure for me to meet so extraordinary people and musicians... thank you thank you thank you
Dan, Michael, Steve (and Ed o)): wonderful playing! with "James Taylor" like tranquility and sometimes a dash of New Orleans "square rounded" groove... All in all: great music, and a really enjoyable documentary... As a drummer myself it is always a treat to see Steve playing. Thanks again!
this is very touching , how humble Steve Gadd is , and what a great music you make , I´M a drummer from Argentina and have all your stuff , Thanks for posting this !!!!!
Steve always wants to be a part of music. Blicher and hemmer have great chemistry with steve. Music flows like their characters. Thank you for making this documentary♥
Absolutely amazing !!! Steve drum sound is so mellow and pleasing to the ears blending perfectly with the music. No harsh sound at all. This is like a honey on top of the tasty dessert. And such an intimate gig in front of a small community of people who appreciate the music. One in a life time opportunity, not talking about the lucky guy sitting behind Steve watching the master play and even laying down some tambourine groove!!! A dream gig!!! You all guys sounded amazing !!!
This brought back wonderful memories..loved seeing you play in Southampton UK in November 2019, great musicianship, brilliant gig...thank you! Hoping to see you whenever it's possible again,
Thank you all for this. Great music is still out there. All from different places, all with the same thing in mind. Making beautiful music together. Nothing better!!
Great film ...culture and art the real vaccine!! Gadd took every note back in the day and put back into our dna he was that freaky unbelievable. Love your music ❤️👏🏻
This is "black" gospel-infused pocket music with grooves all the way deep into your soul. Seemingly simple, it's among the most difficult to play, especially with a soft touch at low tempos. I imagine Mr Gadd requested for the tambourine player to help him maintain the holy grail pocket, rather than use an in-ear click track. Good old Steve, still grooving away after his formative years of being enamoured of "black" music, which he then got down to a pat with his stint with ultimate groove masters, "Stuff", in the 70s. The cultured Europeans have always, will always, love "black" music, if only because it's the purest form of spiritual expressionism, whereas jazz and classical forms lean toward pseudo-intellectual elitism.
Fantastisk arrangement,,,,,,,love it 😎👌❤️
This is the kind of setting I was exposed to growing up. These small intimate clubs were what we had. This trio has captured that vibe. Thanks!
Steve Gadd i Gl.Ry - wow, det er vildt. Inviter Uffe Steen med næste gang.

We all would love to be in Eddi's place! 🙏🏼😃🥳🎶

Great job man!
the "algorithm" just suggested me this video and it was a lot of fun!

So great to hear that Marcos. Thanks
Great video. Steve is one of the greatest groove drummers of all time, but he is so down to Earth and focused on the music, not being a star!
