I was at James Taylor's concert last night and was so fortunate to see Steve Gadd in action. My husband told me he is a highly regarded, acclaimed and amazing musician! What an evening... the quality of music was amazing. Steve Gadd was just incredible!! You're a real gem Steve!

I loved those rudimental pieces on the table!!! Took me back to my drum corps days (with Mr. Thompson instructing) with the snare line practicing on a long table with our Ludwig 3S laminated sticks. I even still have some!! Thanks guys and stay safe!

Dom is one of the nicest and most talent drummers we have in Phoenix and elsewhere. Yes .....Steve is amazing and a nice guy too.....love him to death and beyond, but is Dom is so dedicated to education and cuts straight to the point. I had the privilege of warming up Dom's latin percussion class as he traveled from Arizona State University to Mesa Community College in Mesa,Az. They had him scheduled so close between the two schools it was crazy. My job was to have everything set up and the players warmed up and ready for Dom when he arrived............definitely one of the best years in my life! Dom was all about making his students better drummers and not about putting himself or anyone else on a pedestal. As a matter of fact he despised such things. I am 56 years old, From Toronto, I think it was around 2005 when Steve was doing his Clinic tour at Humber college... I showed up and back stage I find my student hanging with Steve just about 20 minutes before he went on...Steve signed my students cast (he broke his arm playing hockey.... And it was for the first time I saw the pure human side of Steve! The humble kind person, no ego, just a great guy! That's a good memory!!!

Vinnie drop our jaws after his opening solo.
Is this over in Scottsdale? When Steve was in NY, I was in Phx. When he came to Scottsdale I was in Ohio. My teacher and John Beck were good friends along with Vic. So! I have the sticks, the book, the kitchen sink faucet, and the NY groove. There are more people like me. I feel OK. Thanks!
Never knew how to sweat eggplant! My wife Val says she's going to try this Dom. Gluten Free? Maybe I should! When we go to Vito's in Mesa I always order Eggplant Parmigiana! Bored drummers, nothing to do, gonna play on a pad and bust some chops. I've never seen Gadd on the internet do anything but drum so seeing him make cocktails and dinner is hilarious.
