    I’m not a stay at home mom (yet!) but I bought a ton of books from a university book sale and realized I did not read any of them, so ended up selling them all on eBay. I made a HUGE profit, I bought like 20 books for $5 and sold them for $100.

    • @janijackson5637
      @janijackson5637 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can’t really offer much of a sales pitch because really it depends on the market and what books are super current in classes. I sold my books while still in college (so the semester right after) which means they were still pretty current in coursework. Although I did find Norton Anthology sold quite fast and as well as any other popular literary favorites, I.e. Poetry books, Handmaid’s Tale, and a book by JFK. I also recommend checking out those book sales and just browsing through the history section, those books are likely by famous authors like Churchill and typically have high retail prices. I hope this helps!

    • @attiffanys7399
      @attiffanys7399 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Natalie Paige yes it’s actually pretty awesome if you have an item to sell in bulk bc u can just send it to amazon fba warehouses and they do all the work for u when customers place orders so if ur into selling, u should definitely look into it. U can also do retail arbitrage find new items for cheap then sell them on amazon for more which is what I dabbled in for a bit.

    Great ideas, I’m thinking of quitting my job but worry about not having an income. these ideas are very helpful! Another great way to sell childrens items is through Rhea Lanas consignment shows. I do that with my sons items and make WAY MORE money then selling at Once Upon A Child, the most I have made is $400! The great thing is YOU price your items. 🙂

    The title of this video appealed to me, but as a 1st time mom to a 10 months old baby, ...none of these ideas seemed realistic to me (sorry)..all of them are VERY time consuming, some of them a big responsibility, and one of them in particular, was a big turn off ( selling breastmilk).. Selling breast milk is a "sad" thing to do in the name of making EXTRA cash! Totally disagree..Actually becoming a new mom made me appreciate everything around me and motivated me to give to other babies FOR FREE!!

    • @NataliePaige
      @NataliePaige  4 ปีที่แล้ว +19

      Sari Sari thanks for your thoughts! I guess the energy we’re willing to put in to something (for the value) is different for everyone. As a low income family, we work HARD to bring in any extra cash that we can. In response to your comment about selling breast milk, I’m aware that it’s kind of weird, and maybe a “turn off” to some people, but I like to be as honest and realistic in my videos as I can. I think it’s wonderful that since having a baby, you feel more inclined to give for free. I think that’s awesome! However, not everyone is in that position. Giving away breast milk for free is not the same as giving away a toy or old clothes. I worked hard day in and day out, I was up in the night to pump that milk and to me it’s valuable enough to sell. I totally respect your opinion but please don’t put others down for not giving their hard work away for free 💕

    • @latenightsnack5382
      @latenightsnack5382 4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Sari Sari well sweetie nothing is free and times are tough I definitely won’t be giving my breastmilk away for free it’s mine I can what I want with it just like this lady in the video

    • @NataliePaige
      @NataliePaige  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Be Ge if you’re pumping and storing properly, it’s definitely sanitary! If it wasn’t sanitary, it would NOT be recommended for babies. But it is 🤷‍♀️ and breast milk can also be pasteurized if that’s a concern.

  • @hanaanharith3496
    @hanaanharith3496 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Selling breast milk is not weird at all it's fantastic option for mums who can't provide for their baby. They'd be paying for cows milk so naturally bm would be much more higher in value. I will consider this. Milk nurses have been around for a millennia and should be bought back to improve health nutrition for babies and give mothers more good options on how to feed their babies.

      Most people don't invest due to ignorance
      People are scared of investing because of the high rate of scam in the business. There are scammers but real brokers are out there for investors

    My question is where’s a good place to sell stuff, I’ve tried 2 different places and haven’t had much luck? I just got rid of some really expensive wall pieces for super cheap just because I was tired of waiting to get rid of them

    "it was definitely a shock when I couldn't work anymore"... Girl.... You can still work after having a kid. I gave birth twice and both times I was up and walking around the next day. Your very privileged to be able to be a STHM when you could be working to support your man and daughter twords a better future. No offence. Just sayin

    This was great, thanks, I've been looking for "work from home jobs in mumbai for ladies" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Peyaliyaah Prefatory Predominance - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to work from home without the stress without the headache. Ive heard some incredible things about it and my work buddy got amazing success with it.

    So...donating breast milk to women who need it and can't afford it might be a better way to go.

      Mykl Colton While I agree that it would be nice for some women to donate but that’s not always an option. This mom is trying to make ends meet for her own baby and family. So let’s not throw that in her face, after all... look at the name of the video.

      Hospitals dont give donated breast milk away for free. Its part of the nicu care for some people if theyre willing to pay. Its $3-$5 an oz at a hospital vs being sold directly from the mother $1-$2.50 an oz. So you're really just for hospital profit instead of paying the woman who put her labor and time into it. This is like saying why would you sell your old lamp for $25 when you could have given it to goodwill for free to sell for $50. It makes no sense.

      @@mykl-anarche2201 Even on free to donate sites, all theyre doing is hooking up moms in need to moms with over supply and they make their own arrangements. Preemies and sick babies are first so if you're not one of those you have low odds of getting breast milk for your baby. But keep in mind, it isn't free unless you find a random stranger willing to give you it for free. Formula exists. Getting somebody elses breast milk isnt a right, just pay for the food or get your dr to give you a prescription for formula.
