Now we are adults and I own the bebop Blu-ray and the flcl blue ray and he has the samurai chanploo Blu-ray and we’ll literally stay up all night drinking and watching together when we visit and reminisce

My parents got divorced =/ but when my dad had custody of me, mom would tape all of adult swim for me. I think I was 8 or 9 at the start. God, I remember the first time it aired, so crazy. I told her make sure you record Saturday, it's the most important.
Pretty based of AS to just flat out say FLCL was better than Blue Gender. I can't think of any other network that would compare shows in that way, what a cool time it was.

I wish I got to see this stuff. I grew up watching Adult Swim around maybe 2013, but I don't remember seeing these types of bumpers. Then again, my memory is hazy, but I'm surprised FLCL was airing back then. All I got to saw was Robot Chicken, a few Dragon Ball episodes, & many repeats of the same Family Guy & Cleveland Show episodes. I liked Adult Swim, but I wish my parents didn't make me go to bed so early. I wanted to watch more, much more. I even saw that Space Dandy was gonna be aired once, but it aired too late for me to see.
Bleach did not start on AS until 2006. Also, anytime they showed Bleach it was usually picture bumps. One of the typical bumps you'd see before Bleach at the time were the You - Adult Swim bumps. There was a one with a Piano and a group of people, a one with 2 bears and a boat, and one with a guy and a seal. There was the Nuclear Love bump that showed before Bleach sometimes too.
