My bullmastiff started having seizures a month ago. He’s five years old. The vet ran blood work on him that didn’t show anything abnormal and wants to send him to a neurologist. In the end, lots of money will be spent and a prescription will be given which has side effects. We will try using magnesium for now. Thank you for talking about this. I’ve never heard of giving dogs magnesium. Makes sense!

Thank you so much for this video. I have a 4 year old kitty with epilepsy. We have taken her to a holistic vet had her vitamin levels checked and she was indeed low in magnesium! I did not realize that this could possibly be connected with seizures. She recommended a lotion form to go on the inside of her ear..obviously because she is quite fluffy.

Another safe and effective natural supplement that helps many dogs and cats with seizures is dimethylglycine (DMG). It has too many benefits to list, but one of these is seizure reduction. I use the liquid form (Vetri DMG) for my cats, and they accept it readily from the dropper, or you can just add to it wet food.

Thank you for all the wonderful information you have given.
I have used many of your recommendations and they work
My dog is 13 the vet said her heart was not beating correctly , when she was 8 weks. The vet said she had a enlarged heart.
I have also gave her asprin. I give it to her daily very low dosage. she has allegries, she has licked and scratched at her skim so much she has no more hair. Her skin gets very dry and spots are rough, i used the tea with asprin it helped.
Now usimg castor oil on her skin and eyes.
    I took her off apoquel.
The vet refused to give her 1 percent hydrocortisone.
All they want is to make money. I live on a low income and i appreciate all your Help Dr Jones

This is a Godsend! My Yorkie-Poo suddenly started cluster seizures for a couple of days. I’m sure it had to do with her first and only dose of Simparica Trio. She was absolutely healthy before taking it, and now after the seizures, she’s exhibiting signs of cognitive disfunction. 😢 I’ve currently begun detoxing her with a mix of milk thistle, krill meal, and coconut oil. No seizures since detox started, but for her dementia, I’m going to start her on the daily doses of Magnesium you suggested. Thank you so much! ❤

Thank you for sharing so others can learn from what your poor baby has to go through- she will be in my prayers.
This man is amazing and he has an extensive video going through why you might not need to give your animal flea and tick preventative. I live in Arizona and before that Indiana during pandemic and stopped giving that to them during the pandemic cause I couldn’t get it for a little while and I have not had an issue.
When I lived in Massachusetts it was an issue especially in April and me and my dog would hike a lot and she was the only one out of a bunch that did not get an insane amount of ticks because I also did essential oils on top of the vet prescribed treatment. It was three different oils and I can only remember lemon grass or lemon balm and Rosehip and surprisingly I don’t think the third was citronella.
Good luck getting your baby healthy again and I hope this helps❤

@@nanny8675309 Thank you. Yes! I’ve always used essential oils and never had a problem with fleas, ticks, or mosquitoes. I’d make a solution with lemon eucalyptus, lavender, and peppermint essential oils that worked beautifully! But my Vet convinced me that I was risking her health by not giving her these flea pills. I spent $325 for a physical and blood work just this Wednesday. All he did was tell me that if she had more seizures, he would Rx another pill!! 😠 I’m upset because he was swift to warn me about how essential oils were known to be toxic, but why didn’t he warn me about the risks with the flea pills?! And why push another chemical pill for seizures rather than suggest magnesium or even CBD?!? I feel such guilt for not going with my gut feelings and trusting him with my baby’s life. As I mentioned previously, I did a little research myself and am detoxing her little body to help rid this poison from her system. It’s day 2 with no seizures! It’s working! And she’s starting to appear less disoriented. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Thanks again! ♥️

This is awesome info doc. Thank you. I’m such a vitamin user for myself and have a few of yours for my babies. I give them a joint supplement and your probiotics which both have magnesium in it. She weighs 17 lbs.

A high-quality manufacturer is Solaray. It comes in veg caps so it's easy to break open the capsule, plus you can take it yourself.

I'm confused. I had a cat with kidney disease & I thought I was told Magnesium would worsen her kidney disease. She was lapping up my Epsom Salt soak. And I was told it would harm her.
On the other hand, Magnesium has helped me with numerous health challenges!

I’d like to know this too!! My 6 year old male cat was just at my vet for 2 nights because he had crystals in his urine and was completely blocked. Vet said he must be on a low magnesium food from now on. This is too dang confusing. Watch Jackson Galaxy’s video on reading food labels and what to avoid. Turns out the Hill’s Prescription c/d food for urinary issues is actually TERRIBLE with crap ingredients!! (Jackson didn’t say this - I came to this conclusion after reading the ingredients). Good luck with your pet……..

Dry food is what causes the crystals... They don't tell you that though, it is a major money maker for all... Sadly, most/all cats are mag deficient as they try to remove all traces of it... they don't tell you just to not feed dry, which would solve the problem..... or rather, not create it.... Once created, you may need to dissolve the stones first, but feeding wet food and including magnesium supplements will only help your cat...

Hi Dr Jones I was told that yes magnesium is a good supplement for our bodies. But what I found was the magnesium stearate In our supplement is not good because it doesn't let the magnesium absorb in our bodies like it should. If you have anymore info on this that would be great. Thank you for all you do. You rock Dr Jones.
