I want to give you a VERY BIG thanks! I have been searching everywhere online, and don't feel it is necessary to pay 20 dollars for 3 fermentation air locks. What a budget saving video!
@@yazhieralfaro5383 I did try it, and it worked well. It was for fermenting veggies. The new trick I do now is fill the jar to the top with brine and then use a bag filled with water as the weight, and leave the lid loosely screwed. A bit of brine leaks out but the airlocks don't get in the way to take up more space and most of the oxygen is pushed out from the beginning of fermentation.
@@johnson554671 you leave the lid loosely screwed and used a DIY airlock? isn't it redundant to use a DIY airlock because you already loosely screwed the lid? newbie here brother, please enlighten me, I really want to ferment my c.reapers I already have almost 1 kilo waiting to be fermented hehe. .

@@jasonmyersOU812 No no. It was intentionally posted here as u mentioned needing more airlocks, so i wondered if it was because they weren't reusable. But in retrospect you of course have multiple brews going at a time and therefore need multiple airlocks haha

Not sure why I'm watching when I already have perfectly good airlocks. But I guess the old stoner in my just enjoy some stoner-crafting like engineering.
On the second one, you didn't really show it attached to anything. When you were putting the tube through the blue cap, it looked like the other end of the tube was free. Then, at the end of that segment, was the airlock hanging? What did it sit on? It would have been nice to see the entire setup once it was completed.
Excellent. However, you could keep a black cloth or some dark colour cloth below as a background. This would make the transparent bottles and pipes more and better visible. Thank you very much. God bless you.
Great video - love it - I went straight to ebay to buy some plastic tubing - have you seen how many different widths there are? ? Which one would you use please? 3mm, 5?
Interesting and in a pinch can be handy...but given they are only $3-4 to buy not really worth it...especially seeing as the hose your using would cost the same if not more.
Useful for those who live in places where brewing equipment isn't widely available. We have to import them from China where I live, which takes at least a month or two to get shipped.
Hi, can you tell what can be done if airlock can not be made/available ? why can not just leave solution open to pass carbon dioxide ? what harmful bacteria can be/things can mix with solution in normal home if solution is left open to pass carbon dioxide ? Thanks

Thank you very much, great job. So, Iv just made my first air lock bubbler and I still don't know how many bubbles it should make per minute per hour in the fermentation process, can you help please?
Hi, Creative, hope you doing fine! I did the third method and its working like the video, but my professor said that's not right way. Can you please, see the video i made and tell me if, it's right or not? If you can, answer me and we see a way to me send you the video
Last one is best... There are various methods to make airlock.... I have another method ___ No loose parts, no moveable parts ___1) Make a common holes (as per pipe diameter) on firmentation jar cap and plastic bottle cap, 2) Cut bottle from half height (use cap side bottle part) and make hole at one side of bottle wall to hold the pipe end, 3) Insert pipe from inverted bottle cap to jar cap ane glue the both caps, check for leak proofing, insert pipe in jar up to 1/2" deep, 4) Fix bottle with cap and make loop of pipe inside the bottle area, pull another end of pipe from side hole of bottle to keep that end up, 5) Pour little food coloured water (for good visibility of bubbling) from free end of pipe... Game over.
To make a simple airlock, you need to have three drill bits???? What a terrible solution. A simple and easy way is to use a nail or screw, or a metal rod and heat it up, and then poke a hole and widening it.
I have not seen you actually measure a single thing once! Why not just cut the thing if you are only going to randomly guess? What kind of shit is this?
Still it's not simple 😂😂 , that drill bit would have made a hole in ur hand😀😀 use cling film and rubber band method fellows hassle free and also assurance of airproof fermentation, one movement of ur pipe will crack ur air seal n ur game over.

Basic of the idea is fantastic. Good job. Thanks
With the first method, how do stop water from going back to the fermenting jar?
I set the water bottle higher than my fermentation vessel and have had no problems with water going back into fermentation.
Wouldn't you set the fermenter higher?
The co2 push the water away once fermentation start
That cant happen if you do it righ
i don't know why but it's weirdly satisfying to watch the airlock during fermentation. XD
Thanks a million. This have for sure helped me in all my wine project 🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️❤️

The orange wine you saw in the video was a sugar fermentation solution for the production of ethyl alcohol.

Should the syringe van in 3, touch the bottle cap on CO 2 rising?
hi, the number 2. i want to do it, does the small bottle have a lock? i mean the bottle cap. it is lock. or not?
The pro method is the only method in the video that cost more than a Airlock but its good for people in places that can't buy them
What cost? A small bottle and syringe van cost only 0.5 dollars here in India, whereas a plastic airlock cost 6 dollars even online

I don't think size matters as long as the air flow is un restricted

I like the video and all, very helpful, but why do you need to make a mark for where to cut if you’re not even measuring? 😂
You are really great.....🤝
i found a tube in another demigon works, actually 4 pipes in, think on that but well done
Yall could also use maybe one of them shot bottles you know the little bottles shots of vodka or something come in

Bruh making these will cost more than an actual airlock an airlock goes on a range between
1.50 eur to 3.50 euro

try going to just stores what sells like everything
