I run the same machine at my job and I love seeing you running the part in the guide system. We always convert our to g code as my shop has not taken the time to level the machine regularly so we get tons of tapper all the time.

I only convert to G codes when I know I'll be getting the same job again. The guide mode has very limited storage.

I've looked at the Seco th 1000 & 1500 inserts for hard and interrupted cuts. PVD Coating of a carbide but I couldn't find out of what. Apparently able to turn induction hardened shafting no problem...

So there is a small three jaw chuck being held with a 4 jaw chuck. Turn a small part. NOT! Large for most of us. For you a small part. Thank you for sharing. I always look forward to your posts. How about a site tour?

When you quote the job how many hours to turn all 4 parts? Different world today. I ran CNC at the end of my machinist career. We had scan-omatic tracing units on some of our big engine lathes and VTL's. I would make the templates on the Bridgeport. Only way I could machine a radius like the one on this part.

7:59 - Not nearly as tough as that +/-.0005" on the ~30" D. part a couple of weeks ago.
Dunno where that part goes, but I'll bet it fits.

Always nice video chris!! I was wondering you always use coolant for your jobs?? On my side i only use it for finishing the inserts than to fail off more quickly when i put coolant during the rough did you have this issues? Keep up the nice vids! Those are mesmerizing
