May I make a suggestion? Remove the background music and make it Gregorian Chant. The music you chose doesn’t fit well with what you’re trying to show.

I agree on St. Patrick Cathedral. I visited the Cathedral during my trip to New York for the first time when one of my graduation gifts from high school was a trip to the Big Apple. At the time of the visit, I had been raised Baptist. In 2010, I converted to Catholicism. I am now a proud and devout Catholic.

The one that gets left off most lists is the Cathedral Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in Philadelphia. It is extremely beautiful visually, but what I find so thrilling is that it was built by the first and only American Bishop to be canonized (St. John Neumann). When it was under construction (opened in 1864) the City was in the middle of the virulently anti-Catholic Know-nothing riots. That is why there are no windows on the first floor, except those added in a 1950's renovation. I've noticed a few stone-throwers chiming in with criticisms of the Catholic and Orthodox tradition of building beautiful buildings to celebrate our faith. Their own homes are probably quite lovely. The poor never complain about money spent on churches because they know they are built for them. That's a rich person's preoccupation. I am reminded of a story of St. John Neuman who faced criticism for the construction of the cathedral during an economic downturn. Someone accosted the bishop with the complaint: "How can you spend all this money on a building when so many men are out of work." The bishop looked over at the men building the cathedral and said; "They aren't." When Mother Theresa walked into the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (where I was a guide for a summer) she remarked: "Something beautiful for God." It used to be thought that nothing was too good for God. Now it seems anything is, in some people's view. The normal human reaction to beauty is joy and gratitude. I am uncertain what the basis of the negativity toward beauty in the service of God is, but it's definitely not OF God.

Great video of such beautiful places to worship God. Sure beats the stark, blankness of protestant churches. If you put in a grill, some of them would look like a White Castile! Two points about your narrative, if a body is placed in a crypt it is not buried, it is entombed. Crypts are above ground. Second, the Saint Junipero Serra's first name is pronounced as "who NI pero." 43 years teaching high school Spanish here.

In its grandeur and opulence, it is an excellent example of the so-called Polish cathedral style of church architecture found in the Great Lakes region of North America. I grew up in the middle of Illinois and starting in the late 1960s or perhaps a bit later, parish church after parish church had its altarpiece torn out and most statues removed and murals painted over. There was a desire to make Catholic parishes look like Lutheran ones, or even a bit like mosques (banners with words on them, but not complete removal of all images). The cathedral in Peoria had the entire sanctuary painted beige, I’m told. (Some clever use of paint has undone some of this.)
St. Patrick’s in Decatur, Illinois had had only mediocre art, and apart from the stained glass and the corpus of the altarpiece crucifix, nearly everything was destroyed. (My parish, when I was growing up.) The corpus was placed on a bronze cross with a Jesus The Friendly Ghost outline, and suspended from the high domed ceiling over the altar. (A new altarpiece probably from a demolished church has been put in now: the proportions are wrong but it’s an improvement.)
I’m glad that some Catholic parish churches and some cathedrals escaped. In many of these ruined churches, the working poor had given money they could barely afford to equip the place where they joined in Mass with something beautiful, and then proud churchmen had it ripped away to satisfy their own tastes. It was truly Satanic.

I was very glad to hear that they decorated another dome in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception with a mosaic. When I went to CUA in the 80's, 3 of the 5 domes were still waiting to be decorated.
The Cathedral of the Madeleine has prominently displayed the quotation from Galatians: "If even an angel of God should preach a gospel different from what I preached to you, let him be anathema." Everyone in Utah, of course, knows that this is directed toward the Angel Moroni.

I'll never forget the first time I saw Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark, NJ. Never would I have expected to see such a work of architecture in a slum like Newark. It's just so out of place. If you're in New York, well worth the visit.

I love the sacred and the reverent, illustrated through church architecture. The first thing I want to visit in any city are its churches.
I also love the ornate churches that many small towns built. A reverent Mass and congregation adds a closeness to God. The entire experience is like a glimpse of heaven.

I've been to St. Patrick's and the National Shrine in Washington DC. Even as a native New Yorker, I like the Basilica in Washington better. It's larger, has more artwork, doesn't have a wood and plaster ceiling (St. Patrick's makes a few compromises with the architecture), and it has a wider variety of chapels and styles than St. Patrick's does.

    What is the holy day???
    1. Can we find a single verse in the Holy Scriptures that it is a day of worship or a day of holy congregation?
    3. Can we see that the Supreme Father said a single word to stop the work that was their livelihood?
    4. Can we see in the holy book that it is a holy day for Jehovah?
    5. Can we see in the Holy Scriptures that every week is the holy church day?
    6. Is the Sabbath day Sunday? is it saturday (Matthew 28:1)
    7. If the Sabbath was Saturday, can we find a single text where the Messiah changed it to Sunday? (Matthew 5:17,18)
    8. If the apostles said that the day of worship was not the day of rest (Saturday) but the week, can we find a single verse in the holy book?
    9. Can we find a single verse in the Holy Scriptures that the Sabbath was abolished after the Lord's death and resurrection and it was established as a day of worship?
    10. Can we find a single verse in the Holy Scriptures that God has abolished the 4th commandment, the Sabbath (Saturday), out of the Ten Commandments?
    11. Is it a sin to work or trade for a living on God's appointed Sabbath? isn't it See scripture. (1 John 3:4; Leviticus 23:3,4)
    12. Is the sabbath day ordained by God as a day of worship? Or is it? (Leviticus 23:3,4)
    13. Was Jesus going to the synagogue (to worship) on the Sabbath? Or is it theirs? (Luke 4:16)
    14. Who is the way for us (John 14:6)
    15. Who are we bound to walk as we walk? (1 John 2:5,6)
    16. What is the terrible loss if Jesus does not do what Jesus said (Acts 3:22, 23)
    17. Is God the God of all in the Bible? Or the Israelites? But is the Sabbath for all men? Or the Jews? (Isaiah 66:23)
    18. Did God appoint Sunday as a day of worship? Or appointed by men?
    19. Is the sabbath holy, solemn, and lovely to God? Or is it Sunday? (Isaiah 58:13)
    20. Can we find anywhere in the Holy Scriptures that the Lord's day is Sunday? If I am still a man-pleaser, I will not be a slave to the Messiah (Galatians 1:10).
