Hanging String Lights Around My Fire Pit! I Used Whiskey Barrel Planters

  • Here's an easy way to hang outdoor string patio lights using planter posts. I'll show you how to save money and time. I'm not using messy concrete either! If you want to upgrade your patio, lawn, or fire pit, patio string lights offer one of the biggest bangs for the buck! Whiskey barrels work perfect for this because their weight and width provide great stability for the posts that the lights hang from. I'm trying to create the ultimate fire pit patio area for my back yard so I'm going to be working on lots more outdoor projects. I definitely need a grilling station and probably some concrete tables. I put an update on the 4x8 planter build in this video as well. 👍 SUBSCRIBE: bit.ly/2Iy7PK3

I have to say, I agree with these comments. I've been a single Mom and now a single homeowner trying to do projects ( I cant afford to pay someone, so I do what I can with these DIY projects) I loved seeing you with your girls. My Dad always helped me with projects and he would always tell everyone how I did things myself, he was so proud of me and not being affraid of tackling a project. He passed in 2021 and I miss him soooo much. This light project will be my first project without him amd my Mom. They were always here to help me 😢
Keep up with those girls helping, they'll cherish the memories and the lessons

I have been letting my family down these past few years and it's time to become a manly man (I just ordered the pocket knife you used to cut up the kindling in the fire pit video). As a first step, I've just sold my home in Commie-fornia and will be moving to South Carolina, where I can now live the American Dream. Thank you for inspiring me, Haxman!

Just found your video. Loved it. Your girls are soo cute and I love the way you incorporate them to help you out and give them training at the same time. Love your humor and honesty. Great video. Keep them coming.

This is so freaking great, I thought he was being sarcastic at first, making fun of us that need detailed instructions with very clear narration and then I realized this man is such a great instructor! I feel like I could easily handle everything he is doing- love this!!!

I absolutely LOVE how you have your young daughter assist you. As a mama of four (now grown) girls it was imperative that we taught them how to do everything themselves and assist us properly. Well done- and yes, very funny!! Thank you!! May actually try to do this all by myself ( no longer have the other half to assist....) Cheers and keep doing these videos!
