That truck is really coming in handy!! Please make sure to put drain holes in the bottom of the barrels if you are wanting to plant flowers in the barrels.
I love the drone footage! Especially the last shot where Lauren is talking and then you zoom out and up. AWESOME! And what a great space to build wonderful memories.
I am really enjoying the variety you are adding to your channel. This outdoor project showed your creativity and definitely Nieman's professional video/editing skills! The videos are looking great! I married an audio producer many years ago and know how much time it takes to get the editing right...amazing work! Your channel reminds me of some great programming that HGTV used to offer years ago before they became the "real estate" channel. They had programs from independent production companies all over the country that featured home improvement and decorating projects for all budgets...not just high $ stuff and house flipping. I miss the Monday videos, but understand quality takes time, so keep up the good work and thanks so much for your enjoyable content!!! The patio/light/firepit project looks wonderful...enjoy!!!
Great job! Thanks for sharing. If the bugs ever get in your area, you can put a tall tent pole in the center near the fire pit and then drape mosquito netting over the entire area. We recently purchased mosquito netting to cover our patio table and chair set which has an umbrella. The mosquito netting has a hole in the center to accommodate the umbrella. The bottom of the net has weights to prevent the wind from blowing it around. The net also has a slit with magnets which serves as a "door". No more gnats, mosquitoes, bees, wasps, bats, and flies to deal with, especially when we are dining outside.
The end results of any project accomplished is a great satisfaction, you guys did a great job, hope you enjoy it with your family and friends, thanks for sharing 💪👍😊
Great job, the fire pit area looks beautiful. And as I said before, there are going to be nice, cool nights spent around that fire pit! Enjoy, take care, stay safe.
fun for me to watch you two on 2xspeed - so much youth and energy! - You are good teachers .... happy to support your family. carry on. the space is very cool / would love to hang there. Great use of the barrel/post/planter concept - the lights really set the space off
This fire pit area turned out amazing !! Y'all will enjoy this for a long time to come. It'll make a great place to relax after a hard day at the shop. Thanks for a great video Lauren and Neiman !!
That looks so great!! It’s even big enough if you wanted to put tables around the perimeter (inside) for a speak easy vibe. People can sit around them if they get too warm around the fire. Or just to nosh on some chips and salsa. Outside the perimeter could do the same for larger parties. Net you could put some games between the shop snd fire pit, like horseshoes. You could also put - perhaps on the opposite side (away from the extension cord) a sandbox for the littles. Lots of fun to be had!
I love watching you guys. I share your adventures together with my fiancé. He loves it, too. You know, you could add some perennial violas or hardy pansies to the edge of your whiskey barrels for blooms from spring until fall. That would extend your bloom time. Violas and hardy pansies tend to come to garden centers in fall or spring. They offer some vibrant colors and will add to the cheer! 🙂 Congrats! Awesome project. Love it!
That area looks nice and it's always good to have a place to relax!! I am glad you didn't fill the barrels with cement since we all know you will have to move someday.
It really looks great , your hard work paid off . We put up lights in our tini yard and then used a smart plug so we could just Alexa to turn them on !! It's worth it , it makes me so happy just to see those lights turned on .
OH MY GOSH! THIS IS INSANE! You guys need your own TELEVISION SHOW! This is just sooooooo good! I can hardly STAND IT! Are there any adjacent properties for sale? I need to be y'alls neighbor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a CORGI, too! Her name is Piper! Imma thinkin' we'd fit RIGHT in! Oh and one more thing--we also flip furniture! teehee! PRAISE THE LORD! You guys are FANTASTIC!
Just a suggestion. You may want to put a few extra metal screws through the bands holding the barrell together. We had put one in our backyard many years ago for flowers. After about 2 years, the entire thing collapsed and made a huge mess. We re-did our landscaping almost 4 years ago and my landscaper suggested whiskey barrels. When I told him of our previous issues, he did a few things that seem to be working. I wanted them off the ground so that water could properly drain through the holes he drilled in the bottom. Just sitting them directly on the ground didn't give the water any real way to drain in our original one. We had tons of leftover bricks in our garage from when we built our house, so he elevated each of the barrells on the bricks. Next thing he did was to add several additional metal screws through the metal bands to give the sides more support. The last thing I asked him to do was to use some heavy black plastic to line the barrells. So far, so good.
It is absolutely stunning you both did an awesome job I loved watching each and every step what you took to create this beautiful piece you're both so blessed to have such a true love I know the feeling because I'm married to my best friend and I can't wait to show him what you've done but maybe him and I could do something like this together thanks for sharing and God bless you both
Looks so good. Nice place to just relax at the end of the day. It was fun to see the two of you working together as a team drilling the holes in the beams and screwing in the screws. The concrete pieces in the bottom of the barrels will also be good for drainage.
Great job on the project so far guys!! Using the barrels as planters also is a fantastic idea. Just my 2 cents but, you can clear out the area adjacent to the road & plant some 6' Green Giant Arbovitae's & they'll grow 3-4' a year. It will greatly reduce the road noise. Hoping all is well guys, Dirty Jersey out!!
Nice work...it will make a great place to create some new memories with family & friends! I would suggest though later you might wanna consider running 1/8th inch cable as a support for your lights later, it will keep your light strands more taunt.
Aww! It looks really great! And how fun to have family & friends around to enjoy it with! I love watching the two of you working on projects together, my husband & I loved working together too! ( He passed away in 2014 & it's not as much fun doing projects alone so enjoy each other)
Aww, I LOVE this! I love mums and pansies. It would look super cute if you added pansies to the barrels. Those barrels are perfect. I live in Jack Daniel’s Country so I have a feeling if our Home Depot or Lowe’s has them I better go get them right now. 😆💯💞
I'm enjoying watching this project come along. It's looking good! I had to tell you that I got tickled when Neiman sat his drink down and it almost fell over while he walked away and when he came back and went to pick it up he noticed the angle of it and took a sip without a word. It's the little things. 😂😂
I Love this hang out space. ..And I Love the whiskey barrel posts /flower beds ...just Some Really Good inspiration ...and what a beautiful way for family gatherings and Roasted Marshmallows are the Best. ..Even Hotdogs on sticks. ...yummm ...Well done y'all👍😊❣️
Great job you guys! It’s educational to watch you guys and learn. Your property is beautiful with all that leftover concrete you could build a walk way or even an outdoor patio for free! Way to recycle. God Bless…….
A rototiller may have helped with leveling the ground around the area. If you put a screw driver in the Eye bolt you can twist it faster and deeper than your fingers.
Lauren, I can't believe how hands on you are with everything!! Neiman is one lucky guy!!
It's beautiful. What a great job.
Love the idea of putting barrels instead of cementing posts in the ground.
Looks amazing! S’mores for everyone! Job well done.
You guys are great together. Love the court yard.
Neiman you are in total beast mode breaking those boulders! Wow! That was great! Good job!
Block tossing could be a new yard game.
It looks soooooo very, very nice. Enjoy.
WOW! Y'all did a FANTASTIC job! Looks GREAT!
Turned out very kewel ❣ Lauren you seem to have unlimited energy ❣ Blessings to you both ❣
What a lovely place to hang out, well done you two. Xx

I love the drone footage! Especially the last shot where Lauren is talking and then you zoom out and up. AWESOME! And what a great space to build wonderful memories.
Nieman got his workout breaking those boulders! Love your creativity with this build. You used those barrels for many things and it looks amazing
Turned out amazing. Wow love it.🤗🤗🤗

Wow! Looks gorgeous! You guys did an amazing job! Love Neiman’s imitation of a Neanderthal. The dog looks like he was having a blast flying around

Love it, I’m so going to use your idea about the posts in the barrels! Looks fab.
You two have done a fantastic job! Hope you have lots of great times there!

Love the barrel idea with string lights. I cant wait to use that idea at our new house. As always thanks for such great videos.
Looks great. Fyi. You should protect barrels with waterproofing.

This is awesome! Loved watching your dreams/visions come true and look so great. Enjoy all the family time you'll spend around it!
You two are such a great team! It’s beautiful!
I had been thinking of doing the whiskey barrels with concrete and appreciate the idea of putting blocks in them instead!
It really looks great , your hard work paid off . We put up lights in our tini yard and then used a smart plug so we could just Alexa to turn them on !! It's worth it , it makes me so happy just to see those lights turned on .
So cool! I gotta try this sometime. 😊🌻❤️
It looks great Lauren and Neiman. Good job.
This is beautiful. Would love to have this. Marshmallows.. yum! Congratulations. Always enjoy your videos. Thank you.
Woohoo, it all looks fantastic!! You both done an awesome job!
Yeah spray your barrels with a sealer and they will last a lot longer ❤️
Looks Awesome!!!! Doing DIY projects yourself is so rewarding! Hardwork but when it is done the feeling of achievement makes it so worth it!

Turned out great. A great feeling to be able to appreciate and relax in the fruits of your labor. Love the look of the barrels.
You did an awesome job! Mums do come back each year but they are a little tricky! Just an FYI, read up on it! Love all that you do!

Great suggestions! I also mentioned same experience with barrels, under bettie’s comment.

It looks amazing!
The bricks, blocks and even smaller rocks are also good for drainage in the barrel planters
Looks so good. Nice place to just relax at the end of the day. It was fun to see the two of you working together as a team drilling the holes in the beams and screwing in the screws. The concrete pieces in the bottom of the barrels will also be good for drainage.
AMAZING Lauren and Neaman, you both work so well together. Sorry if I spelled his name wrong.

You are really making your house a home. That’s a wonderful addition to your property!

Great idea at 14:.44 for drainage! Si' por favor!
Woohoo for the niece!!!!
I Love this hang out space. ..And I Love the whiskey barrel posts /flower beds ...just Some Really Good inspiration ...and what a beautiful way for family gatherings and Roasted Marshmallows are the Best. ..Even Hotdogs on sticks. ...yummm ...Well done y'all👍😊❣️
Strong work!! It looks very cozy! ❤
Nice job guys!
I really liked how you attached the post to the barrels! Looks really nice
Carefully and skillfully planned. Nice work!
Those drone shots are sooooo 😎 cool!!
Should use some of those tree trunks that were over where you got the blocks from and out them around as seating .
Great job you guys! It’s educational to watch you guys and learn. Your property is beautiful with all that leftover concrete you could build a walk way or even an outdoor patio for free! Way to recycle. God Bless…….
Fantastic!
That looks amazing! I've been researching how to do something similar in my yard so it's great to see the amazing work you did !
Niemen opening the boxes with the drill. 🤣🤣🤣 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
Fantastic job guys, you are now in the business to build fire pits. 😀 The dog loves all his running room.🤗
If you are putting plants in the barrels, you need drainage holes in the bottom.
I love what you’re doing. It will be beautiful.
Money well spent! Looks great, good job.
Wow lot of work and it looks great!
Very nice Lauren!! 👌🏻💜🌸🪵 loved it!!
Save your plastic pots from flowers and you can add to big pots for fillers before adding dirt. Really nice place.
Beautiful fire place.
You guys need a wheel barrel!!! Great job, i love to see your hard work come to life!!!!
~ I dig that you're putting in different content...sweet ~
Great job. Dont be surprised if the bottom of the barrels warp though. they may well develop a characterful lean over time. 😉
A rototiller may have helped with leveling the ground around the area. If you put a screw driver in the Eye bolt you can twist it faster and deeper than your fingers.
Great job you guys! Looks so nice!
Turned out beautiful. I love it
I bet Neiman was worn out after chunking those blocks of bricks! Lol Y’all did a beautiful job! ❤️
It looks amazing 👏 😍
Your plants are going to love that concrete-- perfect drainage for them.
Love it
Looks amazing!!!
It looks great.
Great work. Looks awesome
I don’t see the link in the description box for the lights. Everything looks great.
