I have an old 4k lg and hated the apps it uses, bought a Apple TV 4K and never looked back, highly recommend, especially if you’re happy with your tv as it is

or honestly could use the ps5 for all the smart apps. but the apple tv is a much nicer experience too
I would second this - built-in TV interfaces are garbage by comparison to the Apple TVOS. And then, to address one of your other mentions, it has the Steam Link app so you can stream games from Steam on your PC to your TV, via Big Picture Mode, with almost imperceptible lag. It works amazingly well!

Here is my only recommendation for your setup. Please buy a 4K apple tv. I used to think it's a waste of money but honestly it's a game changer and I don't think we could live without it now. Especially knowing you use apple products, I just know you will love it as it connects with your devices and you can control many things with it and it's so smooth compared to the default tv hub.

Pocky is back! Lovely video as always. Totally agree on the soundbar, I got a simple cheap and cheerful one from Amazon a few months back for a small office space and its so much better than the big separate ones I had before.

Hey Byte, when it comes to smart tvs, even ones built in sometimes start fast but eventually get slower. I bought an Apple TV 4K a year ago and it’s the smoothest experience when it comes to smart tvs. Now for lighting, I either recommend going Sony with their 90 or 95 L for a mini led as it will be brighter than oled. Sony and Samsung make a QD-Oled which is very bright but expensive or go for whatever C oled tv is the newest from Lg, as they make them brighter every year. Idk if you’ll see this but I hope it helps :)
Like others have suggested an Apple TV 4K makes a world of difference in the living room. I would also recommend if you don’t want to bring the pc down you could use moonlight to stream it on the steam deck. Simply connect it that way to your TV with your 8bitdo controller for some couch play time. It would be a docked experience like that of the switch.
If your TV is not getting sunlight on it, or ant window isnt directly opposite it then you are fine. Have LG CX for last 3 years and love it. I never used to watch this much TV. These days i watch even TH-cam only on TV 😅

I remember you posting an instagram story a year or so ago polling interest on this video! And it was absolutely worth the wait! You’ve nailed your ‘Kiroku’ aesthetic and your space is stunning 🙌 It was absolutely worth the wait.
As for a TV recommendation, I have the Philips OLED708 in 55”. It has backlighting built in that syncs with Phillip hue lights and can be set to match and mirror the content on your TV. It also supports 120hz, NVidia Gsync and AMD free sync for variable refresh support. Highly recommend.

I also a Philips Oled and the picture quality is great. But it has a few bugs. And when i connect my PC to it via HDMI sometimes i have some issues with the screen turning of randomly. Did you have any issues with it?
@@Milan-cf1xe Personally I haven't experienced any bugs. Though I mostly use the interfaces of either games consoles or an Apple TV connected to it. There was a new software update just last night as it happens for mine. Might be worth checking to see if it's out for you too! :)

I use my gaming PC on my LG OLED, valve big picture mode works flawlessly
What's the specs like on the soundbar mate? Looking to get one myself as surround sound won't work too well the way our living room is set up.

I just got an LG C3 and love it, but my living room is also pretty dim when we close the curtains. The G3 (or G4 if you’re looking for the absolute latest) is what I’d recommend alongside an Apple TV 4K.

I’m on a 55 LG CX and unless watching very dark things I haven’t had any issues with brightness. In fact I haven’t had any issues with it. Would recommend OLEDs unless leaving relatively static content on for hours and hours every day.
Very surprised you don’t already have an Apple TV. Our Lg tv is essentially a big monitor. Can’t remember the last time we used an app
You should get a Samsung frame tv.
Nice idea to use the TV as part of your gallery wall. I loved some 'old' SNES games - Mario Kart, Super Tennis etc. Do the games you bought in Japan have a language setting?

Highly recommend a Apple TV for you, especially because you are already in that eco system. Its such an great OS Experience and replaces perfectly your smart tv for your streaming services :)
I have an LG A2 OLED, LG's cheapest oled from a year or two ago, and it is plenty bright for my sunny apartment. I would totally recommend it. It pairs so amazingly with the OLED switch, and LG's smart tv interface is pretty snappy compared to most.

May I suggest like several other people have for you to try the 4K Apple TV? An OLED TV is phenomenal however I can’t recommend the Apple TV enough; especially when you’re already in the apple ecosystem and can make use of a lot of the apps!

I love my Apple TV 4K. It is so fast and I use it to watch TH-cam while I do the dishes everyday. Combined with AirPods it is perfect for my needs.

Question: Would that tv unit work well in front of a double bed. Im looking to renovate my bedroom and I have all my consoles and tv on top of desk in front of my bed. I want to keep it clean and hide most of the consoles etc… Let me know what you think

If your looking for a 0led tv go with Lg c range but if you want a tv that you can watch anytime of the day and have no problem with the sun stick with Samsung and go with there Samsung QN 90 or 95 models not only are you getting a TV that has 2000 nits peak brightness but when I bought my Samsung QN 90B I got the 65” for the same price as I paid for my LG 55” c2 0led and if you are worried about blooming I find none on my QN90b if you sit in front of the tv to the side a of the tv a little bit as someone from the Uk myself I find the 0led tv be good enough through the day but really shows off what it can do when it’s dark where with the Samsung it’s the same all day long
LG G3 or G4 for bright OLEDs :)

I’ll definitely echo a lot of the others and say LG OLED is the way to go. I got a C2 a couple of years ago and am still blown away by it. The single best thing I’ve ever bought. Obviously this years models (C4 or G4) will be slightly better but come with a big price tag so I’d definitely recommend looking at last years C3/G3 for a better price.

I think the samsung s95 d is pretty bright and also has a anti glare coating of some sorts but i haven't used one so i can't really recommend it
Qled brighter, more vibrant and great for a bright room, Oled inky blacks so my recommendation is always if it matters more when you game then get a Qled, movies make it an Oled
Also I believe (needs more investigating) the latest Samsung Qleds can install the Microsoft game pass app so no console required

I think Oleds are actually brighter than your current TV, especially newer models those are way brighter.

That's a really nice living room. I don't recommend the gaming pc in the living room, I had it and I hated it.
I also use a crate to store my physical games, movies, and the various controllers.

@@Milan-cf1xe You lost the ability to do anything else on the pc besides gaming, and only controller gaming is fine. If you play with keyboard and mouse is a pain.
Your living room is beautifully decorated. I don't have a Samsung TV but I do have their 28" 4K monitor in my man cave. Like your TV it's "okay", especially for the price. Suggestion: get an Apple TV 4k. You'll never go back to the smart(?) TV utilities.

Why do you regret your Steam Deck? I just got the OLED model. I don’t own a gaming PC so it’s cool to get games on Steam for cheaper than PS5 and Switch.
There’s a lot of reasons, but I don’t deny it’s a great device
