Here's our quick take upon unboxing the Nextool Mini Sailor Lite EDC multitool. Claims to be TSA Approved, but there's no real certifications on the tool packaging or whatsoever. Its just a tool without knife or blade.
First impressions: Well built, solid little unit, but very basic tool sets.
Great for those who need a plier tool during travels or during strict security situations.
As a news cameraman, sometimes we need to film VIPs where any bladed or sharp tools are not allowed by security details, but there are times when we still need to fix our camera rigs, or tighten a few nuts and bolts for our camera accessories. Hopefully this NexTool unit will come in handy, and for the price, we'll be okay even if its confiscated or have to abandon it. Losing this won't be as painful as losing our Leatherman multitool pliers.
