It's an airplane travel friendly multitool (very few options exist), so the SIM removal tool makes sense for travelers as other commenters have mentioned (so easy to lose, hard to find, or misplace those tiny sim removal tools. Better to have one attached to this minitool). One thing I'd like to add is that it also makes for a great gift for nieces and nephews or young ones since it has no blade. Great starter tool for kids to get them into repairing things.
SIM tool is awesome I have to configure a lot of devices at work and that is a serious amount of SIM cards that I have to insert for different devices - I often misplace the little SIM ejector tool and these built in ones come in handy a lot!
I'm really hoping that Nextool will make a version completing the other side tools with the Diamond file from the Otacle P1s and their combo can/bottle opener. That way they could use the plain flathead instead of the flat/bottle opener. Then you'd have a full mini salor travel model.
Just got mine today. All I know is I wish I bought at least 5 of them waiting for them to get back in stock. These will make great presents for my nephews.
I only have a couple of multi tools at a given time and still always appreciate the literature because isn't it the only way we can compare similar classed tools.
SIM tool is great..... I use mine all the time at work. It also functions as a little scraper for getting gunk out of things. It's one of the reasons why I carry this even with a larger multi tool or sak. Also... You didn't mention it... But these things are snappy...so snappy.. which makes them so much fun to fidget with... And taking our the blade make them an amazing fidget toy
I think the SIM tool is great, because when you need it, you need it. Sim tools get lost, needles and pins can damage the phone, and it's often hard to find something that works when you need it. Always having one on your tool is really good. I also like seeing more bladeless multi tools. Most people that carry a multi tool also carry a dedicated pocket knife. It's great to be able to leave your knife in the car when going somewhere that you can't take it, but still being able to take a multi tool. I'm excited to see the new bladeless SAK's that are said to be coming out.
It's often cheaper to get a local simcard when you travel to another country than using international roaming. But this usage model will go away as more and more phones can host esims.
@@hvacbudget8600 I have Leatherman squirt ps4, for mom I bought this nextool, and I can say quality is pretty good. I'm from Ukraine, when Ukrainians is go to Europe Union country used local sim card for cheaper and better internet. Now very many Ukrainians have to go to Europe because of war which Russians is started and just destroying cities
Nextool did a great job getting this to the market and I will likely get one for my next trip! I would however, like to see something different then the sim card remover tool as that could easily be a scale tool instead. I think a file would be a great addition or a stand alone bottle opener instead of the combo tool, but most of all I would really like to see this closer in size to the Squirt! Now that would really take it up a notch!
The SIM tool might help you to untie an overtightened knots, although I can't say just from the video if it is sturdy enough to do that. It migh also work well for extracting dust deposits from some tight sockets in electronic devices. Perhaps one might even use it as an improvised toothpick?
This is an awesome TSA friendly option. If Nextool would have swapped places with the pliers and scissors then this would be perfect for my needs. I use scissors a lot more than pliers. Maybe one day…
If any broken for the NexTool multitool, just contact the customer service from the platform you bought, then we can provide the soluction. thank you for your understanding.
The link below the video should direct you to Amazon which has it. Aliexpress has it as well. I haven't checked to see if this has made it to their website yet.
@@hvacbudget8600 😬😬 i do everything in my power possible not buy from either of those sites. i want all the money i spend to go towards the people who give me good information and the laborers (i.e. I would love to let the company know through a UTM or referral/partnership that you had sent me to them, but I don't want to give amazon or alibaba my money whenever possible)
Too bad they added a bottle opener on the flat screwdriver. I do enjoy the regular mini sailor flat being compatible with the Roxon small bits kit extender.
Like seemingly everyone else, I have a broken mini flagship, but think I may give this little guy a shot. I don't really feel like it's missing much. Most of the handle implements in tools this size aren't very useful to begin with.
I think US, UK and EU users have some sort of "contract slavery" (jk) from their telecom providers - they have 2 years contracts and paid unthinkable GIANT monopoly prices for mobile and home internet. In the New World countries people often have 2-3 SIM cards in the phone every time and even some in the pocket, can change providers every day and paid 2-5$ per month for unlimited voice and mobile internet. E-sim have their own limitations and annoyances and still in the early stage of development. That is why sim-tool is here probably
Ordered mine yesterday and looking forward to travelling with this. The SIM tool is mega useful when travelling abroad.
I believe that NexTool mini sailor lite would not let you down.
@@NexTool168 I just hope airport security don’t turn into instant Nazis as I go through the scanners!

Thanks for watching!
Great review as usual, I like the way the scissors fold.
Thanks!
Thank you for your recognition.
Why not put a Micro screwdriver on the end of the SIM tool. Surely it would still work as a SIM tool.
Would be useful for Glasses.
good idea, let's looking for any refine further.
Agree. This is something that I'm looking for -- at least an attachment/addition for a jeweler screwdriver

Recent Nextool tools are great
Thank you for your rcognition. The link is out of stock now, and will available soon. The third batch is on the way and would arrived on this weekend.

Sim tool is very useful, especially in traveling between countries) My mom using this tool right now at her trip)
She must be a seriously advanced woman!
Interesting. What are some specific things she uses it for?

Could you do a video on the Nextool bit kit please? The ones that look like the Leatherman bits.

Had a broken black flagship mini as my last purchase... Will give this brand one more chance as the build here seems better.

Wish it had a package opener or gut hook/seat belt cutter, because the scissors may not be enough to open packages.
I'm looking at their website and the only mini lite I'm seeing has a knife - and I'm looking for an option without for traveling

I used the sim removal tool to reset my daughters tamagotchi one time! That’s about it 😅
Still no sog powerpint competitors
Ive been looking for something like this

Amazon blocks this knifeless tool shipping to my country... yet i can order other blades and swords... frustrating...😢
That is crazy. It is on Aliexpress if that is easier to use.

I think this is specially made for long distance travelling. No knife and be able to replace SiMcards from smartphones.
Agreed!
SIM tool is less useful since we can order eSIM nowadays. I sharpened it to slice open tapes on parcles.
Sim card tool is superusefull implement for travel multitool (worthless for home-city though)
