I don't think Knuckles is trying to break out, I think he was just tricked by Eggman again, because when Sonic yells ''You let Eggman dupe you, again!'', Knuckles has an expression like he's saying ''Yes I know he did, leave me alone.'' So that's why I think he was just tricked again.

You can actually take advantage of how it processes the dash inputs asynchronously to the others, and do the following: right -> jump -> right you will then jump and then immediately dash. Very abusable for going faster!
I love the face Sonic makes on page 2 of Cream's and Tails' cutscenes. Tails' even more. But Sonic on page 1 and Knuckles on page 2 of the third cutscene is fucking hilarious.
