Having extremely oily skin is so depressing so I'm really grateful for this video. I'm gonna be adding most of these to cart and seeing what works best for me. I went through about 10 blotting papers today and still came back home after a long work day and dinner with co-workers looking like I got slapped in the face with a hand full of vaseline. As a bonus, my hair gets greasy too lol even though I'll have washed it the night before or the morning of. I envy the women who just look so well put together and MATTE from morning til night, like you guys are blessed lol.

Most high end stuff don't seem to last on me so if you want products that will work and are drugstore...For priming (elf matte putty) For Foundation (Maybelline Superstay) For Powder...Covergirl Clean matte and elf perfect finish HD Powder. Sunscreen unfortunately the only one that seems to work for me and the makeup I use is Supergoop Matte Screen, and for spot correcting concealer that is water proof... Makeup Forever full cover.

I’ve had excessively oily skin since I was a teenager. The only time my skin was somewhat normal was when I took courses of accutane. I’m in my 50s, still have oily skin BUT learned how important it is to maintain the skins moisture barrier and taking time in between steps to prep the skin. If I want my makeup to stay put (almost impossible) I have to thoroughly cleanse, tone, add moisturizer+primer+ setting spray, waiting then adding spf, waiting then foundation, adding powder then waiting then spray with matte setting spray. I started using retin-a again, 4-5 tines a week. It’s little over a month & my skins tolerates it.
I have combo skin. But my oily T-zone is mega oily, the NARS soft matte foundation mentioned looks beautiful for a couple hours, but it breaks down and separates on me at the 3-4hr mark :c

For Nikki, Susan, or any others who might know… do these products also work with oily dehydrated skin? 😢 my skin gets ridiculously oily all over but I also have the worst dry patches around my nose and mouth
So Nikki loves and recommeds Biore Watery Essence for oily skin underneath makeup but personally I think it's better for combo and dry skin. I don't know why but it feels a bit greasy even for my combo skin but that's excellent for underneath makeup so that's when I use it mostly. For oily skin, I would say Haru Haru Purple or Benton UV Airfit. Both are not sweat proof so personally I don't use them during summers.

I even used it for my wedding makeup in July, and it kept everything in place (combined with milk 's matte primer) But now, I’m looking for something that can keep my skin matte. I've tried the NARS and I loved the way it looked but dang throughout the day it was moving so bad. I tried a water based and a silicon primer. I would be willing to try it again if there is a better primer that works well with it
Great video but I think Dior is not the best grab&go foundation without using a primer or a translucent powder.. I think Laura Mercier and Charlotte Tilbury powders are also holy grails for oily skin& of course Estee Lauder Double wear is one of the few that needs no touch ups through out the day :)

Okay I feel crazy because the Nars soft matte separated on me like CRAZY, I hated it, I’ve always had super oily skin and I prepped my skin properly and I just couldn’t get it to work
Switch to powder foundation, you’ll ditch liquids 4EVER ! I use mac studio fix powder foundation. super easy super coverage and minimal shine (of course skin prep prior is key & use an excellent setting spray) Use dense and soft kabuki brush for a seamless coverage . Brand example: bare minerals kabuki brush .
It looked incredible on me…. For approximately 3.5 seconds! Then it oxidised so badly I looked bright orange and thirty minutes later it broke apart and slid off 😢Also, the lightest colour was a couple of shades too dark even before oxidation…. I had such high hopes! 😭 waaah 😭

Idk if it was reformulated, I still have old bottle. I wouldn’t say it’s good for oily skin but works great for combo! It’s not matte, it’s very thin satin formula that melts into your skin.
I went and bought the Dior Backstage foundation, and it did NOT work for me at all 😩 I put it on at 7 AM to go to work, and when I got home at 6 PM my face look like I have poured a whole bottle of oil on it. 😔 I even tried all the other products, and I tried different ways of putting it on, and it still didn’t work.

This is my life. When I put makeup on initially my skin looks dry and the foundation just looks heavy, it cakes up around my nose and under eyes, I can see all the huge pores on my cheeks, concealer is a nightmare as it either has too little coverage or it's too thick and heavy. Then after a few hours my face is slick, the makeup melts, slides all around and you can see the smudge lines (even using a 36hr wear foundation). I have about 10 foundations and probably the same amount of concealers. I've all but given up on wearing either.

Not a professional - but Dior is probably too thick for tinted moisturizer/sheer-coverage use, from every YT vid I've seen from oily/mature creator.
Can you possible do this again since the Dior has been reformulated and there has been a lot of new releases since this was released.

Is waterproof foundations mostly oil based?
Can someone tell me if her brand, Naturium , discontinued the vitamin c face OIL?? Not the serum but the oil version!! I haven’t been able to find it in months and my skin is looking so bad again now that it’s not in my daily routine! 😭😭😭💀
My skin is weird, I have combo dry during the dry cold months and combo oily in the warmer months.
I always thought i had oily skin, but in fact in need more moisture. More cream. I think i have more combo skin. How sad lol at my age, i still dont know what type of skin i have. Lol.
