I always love reading The Dark is Rising in the days between Christmas and Twelfth Night. It’s become a tradition. I just finished it again today (Jan 5, 2024) and this popped up. This series was my in-between series whilst waiting for Harry Potter books 20 years ago and I fell in love with the whole Dark is Rising Sequence.

I cried watching her reception at the end of this priceless conversation between geniuses. A standing ovation from McBurney for this living treasure. How lucky we are for her life and brilliant work. Thank you

What a delightful interview with Susan Cooper! I read “The Dark is Rising” when I was a teen 46 years ago, and read the series aloud with my son when he was about 12 years old. I love it so! How strange I found this program on St. Stephen’s Day while searching for information about the hunting of the Wren. Glad Yule!

How great to spend time with these four people talking about books I've loved! Thank you to Susan Cooper, interesting to hear her talking about time. As l am reading it now I was just struck by that. And Natalie Haynes was hilarious and insightful. Yes, for the directors cut!
