@letitia bradin Metallica was classically Thrash metal then turned into mainstream. Thrash metal is influenced by punk but isn't punk, it is a subgenre of metal.
They are way better than ST in my opinion

i went to see DRI for the first time recently with my dad who has been seeing them for years, it was really unlike anything i've experienced! i got chills hearing songs that he's been playing for me since i was a kid, i left an even bigger fan and with ringing ears!!! i'll be seeing them again when they come back 🤘 rock on y'all

Saw D.R.I. at a bar in Spokane Wa. For 5 bucks. Was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Their live sound is as good as their studio sound. Thanks Spike& Kurt for a great time that I'll never forget. The bar was Ichabods north on the Full Speed Ahead tour or something like that.
jeremy the band I use to play in , played at the north location all the time from like 99 to 2005 we use to practice upstairs before some one broken in an stole a bunch of gear lol. I remember trying to go to that show but had to work graveyard :(

" - that's so damn true. Adults always saying "wait till you get into the real world and see how hard it is" but no job I've had has ever been worse than what you have to put up with in school. Plus as a fellow adult you don't have to put up with certain things you have rights and are listened to and can get legal representation. You can't do that at school, you're nothing. Whether anything gets done about your problems is up to the school.
School is truly brutal for some kids. And theres fuck all they can do about it

So true. If I hate a job, I leave it instantly. Most parents will not allow that at all when you are in school you are trapped there. Being a kid sucked. I HATED being under someone elses rule. This life is for me to do as I wish, when I wish at all times. Keep yourself debt free so you can tell a job to fuck off at ALL times. Every job I get I let them know within 3 months.... "I have no bills, so if you piss me off, I'm out the door instantly" lol.

I remember seeing D.R.I. in the late 80s on mtv headbangers ball matter of fact it was this song and the next day I ran out to the local record store and bought it on cassette,awesome album thrash zone, still listening today, great band,you guys rock
I had a Peavy "Hot Foot" distortion pedal back in '88 - this is the exact tone you'd get. Dead in a Ditch / Suit and Tie Guy sounded like the album.
DRI are Awesome. One of the best bands on the planet. Without a doubt.
Brilliant music isn't always perfectly polished. DRI is criminally underrated for their contribution to Hardcore Thrash. They were Much too Real for MTV and our Corporate Radio. Really glad to see a Thriving and International Tube Community Thrashing Hard Today Too This.

1988-1989, high scholl, listening "4 of a Kind" & "Trash Zone" zillions of times, played loud... became fan!, then the others EP´s & LP´s... and then a live show (kinda fest) in the mexican Caribbean 2006-2007?... it was crazy, every rocker, metalhead, punk, ska in town was there waiting for DRI so good memorie, D.R.I. rules!!!

I remember listening to this song in highschool. I think that DRI had one of the most people t-shirts for a music group, up there with Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer and Wu Tang Clan.

Originally came from a discontinued Peavey amp. I don't remember the model. But modeling amps that have the 80's British option comes close. Or just an old Marshall. Seymour Duncan invader pickups really gets you there as well. I have an inexpensive Vox Add to dictionary and Stagg guitar that comes with the invaders gets close.
Oh, forgot to mention I also run it with MXR Full bore metal without the mid scoop activated.
i hear that a lot. i can tell you it has nothing to do with anything peavey.
I just set the treble, mid, and bass all the way up and keep the boost button on but for my peavy at my dads I do the same but there is are two buttons a thick sound or saturated sound I would go with the saturated sound and I play with an epiphone les Paul and set the switch to treble that’s the closest I’ve gotten without using pedals
@@evanricheson1630 i do the same with some amps. heres a tip. pull back the mids until the treble start to get dull.
