    This helps identify where the leak is coming from (in my case the clean water) but gives no advice on how to fix the problem.

    Thank you bro. My parents were freaking out thinking they got a defected cap. That hole was making them want to return it. Much appreciated.

      I thought the same thing when I first got mine! They should really explain why the hole is there in the directions…

      When I turn my clean water tank over, the water shoots out of the tiny hole really fast. If I quickly put it into place, it starts flowing out of the bottom of the machine.

      So it’s normal to have that leak?

    If it is leaking from the clean water the straw might not be attached. Thankfully someone stated this in the comments :)

    Everyone, make sure the straw is connected to the cap for the clean water tank.

    Just look for the clear straw inside the clean water tank and attach it, it won't leak anymore from the buttom!!! Hope it helps

    Thank you very much ! Your video was the only one I found that showed me where the black went on the collection side, I spent an hour trying to find a video of where it went.. but may I suggest you show us how to put that on, or which way it goes on ...

    That clean water leak empties the tank fast and can completely soak the carpet down to the pad and into the subfloor. If it's wall to wall carpet, it's a disaster. The machine doesn't have the suction to pull out all that deep water. Mold and buckling of the subfloor will probably happen.
    I should have turned it on while on a kitchen counter to make sure the spray happens.

    Always wondered why mine never sucked any water .. it's missing the dirty tank gasket. Thanks

    UHH I think I’m missing a part… I don’t have any such lid that says reclose. I just have the loose part with the white plus sign and I was holding it shut with my hand til the last second and releasing it when I put it in. Omfg. Now I don’t know what to do

    Thank you for this. Poor design. Mine leaked so much it got into the motor and created shock risk. Had to throw it out. Poor customer support from Bissel and not the first of their products to give me trouble with leaking and safety. Done with their brand now.

    I'm a house cleaner every household i clean that has this ""little green" version it leaks. Its totally design flaws!

  • @One-Day-After-Another

    My little green is over 10 yrs old. The ONLY issue I have with it is getting the tool on/off the hose. it's so difficult and I have to use a lot of force to get it on or off. If you look on the hose end while the tool is off, you can see O rings. Can those be replaced and if so which to get? Or maybe it's some other reason? I don't know...

    can the machine leak water without the black gasket because I think that's the problem with mine.

    • @MyProjectWeekend
      @MyProjectWeekend  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s possible. Does yours still have the straw in the clean water tank? If not that can cause it to leak too. I did an updated video here: Bissell Little Green Machine Leaking Water Try This to Fix It

    • @SillyFREAKout
      @SillyFREAKout ปีที่แล้ว

      There is not, just put the clean water vessel in its place quickly so minimal water comes out of it.

      Make sure the tube inside the cylinder is attached to the hole in the cap.

    Why is there no solution to the first problem he mentioned?! He identified the cause but never mentioned the solution. I’m a bit frustrated now.

    • @MyProjectWeekend
      @MyProjectWeekend  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You’ll need to make sure the clean water reservoir is in place correctly and isn’t offset. It needs to be fully in place and upright. If it’s slightly off or sideways it can leak water out the bottom.

    • @Mary-WFA
      @Mary-WFA หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not sure how so many people are missing that you did give the solution in the video 🤔

  • @johnreel8728
    @johnreel8728 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I understand what can cause leaks. Do you have a solution?

    • @MyProjectWeekend
      @MyProjectWeekend  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you know where yours may be leaking from? If the hose is cracked then you may need a replacement. If the water tank isn't on correctly it may need to be adjusted. Also the gasket around the base of the dirty water tank might not be on right and could be the issue. The gasket could also need to be replaced. The first step would be to identify where the leak is.
