    Thanks so much for this video. 🎉I was just struggling to get this on a Honda Accord and had to put it at the back seat instead. Seeing this video makes me know better what to do as I am planning on relocation in a couple of weeks.

      It should fit in your accord. Good luck with the move.

    I love your video! Trying every different angle, and then having to remove your precious "crap" from the trunk is totally me! Quite similar to the song and dance that I went through determining how to best fit an Electra Townie Go 5i into a Prius. And YES! if you take off the front wheel you can!!!

      LOL...thanks. I mean, isn't that what "Trunks" are for...to store "stuff"!

    So did you end up folding the pedals? Good video. Thinking of buying a couple XPremiums and the wife has a camry!
    Nevermind I see you removed your pedals. Look up quick disconnect pedals on Amazon

      I thought about quick disconnect pedals but more as an antitheft deterrant. I have not pull the trigger yet as I don't transport the bike much in my car often so removing the pedal is not that big a deal.

    Ever try the quick disconnect pedals?

      No, but I am thinking of getting some to try.

    Great video. Can't wait to try this in a 2009 Honda Civic. Do you think this would work with a front rack and a basket? Or would I have to take the basket off? I was planning on doing food delivery in Chicago and would need to transport the bike up there. Also, do you think it would fit through the back doors if I folded the seats down?

      For the XP 2.0, I had to remove the basket. It didn't quite fit. see this video: th-cam.com/video/D0-uGaVpDlk/w-d-xo.html

    It is exhausting just to watch the struggle.

      LOL...I usually just throw the bike in the back of my tundra but not every one has that easy choice so I figure I do a quick demo. Plus I was in a bit of a mood regarding california gas prices. I will say this, I filmed it as the first time doing it for the XPremium so the struggle shows. Since that initial recording, I've done it several more times and each time, it got easier as I figure out things and get used to my car trunk. Happy riding.

    That looks like a LOT of work to put the ebike completely in the trunk. Will it be better to put the ebike partially in the trunk and then strap down the hood? I'm asking because I have a 2004 Honda Accord and I'm not sure if the XP 3.0 will completely fit.
    BTW. What are the opening dimensions of your Corolla trunk (L x W x H)? 🤔

    • @tai.randomthings
      @tai.randomthings  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a lot of work but it does get easier after 3-4 times. I don't have the dimensions of my trunk, I will try to go get it and report but I think the accord is bigger (I use to have one). The video is the XPremium and I think it's about 8" longer/bigger than the 3.0. The 3.0 should fit easier. I am not sure I would let it hang off the back of your trunk, just doesn't seem that secure. Maybe try putting it in a tote and slide it in the back seat? Good luck and happy riding!

    How big is the trunk opening diagonally from the bottom to top? Just curious if my Premium will fit in my 2017 Sonata. Trying to save my back on the attempt lol. Thanks for the random video.

      Let me measure and I will get back to you. I do recommend taking the batteries out, that will help a lot to reduce the weight. But it is still heavy, around 50 pounds without the batteries.

    • @tai.randomthings
      @tai.randomthings  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      17.5" X 42". That's the dimension of the rigid opening measured from the latch to the top rim and from brake light to brake light. I suspect the Sonata is at least that size. Make sure you stretch before you attempt for the first time as well as getting help is probably a good idea. I'm stubborn so I didn't do either so don't learn from the stubborn side of me. Safe riding!

      Thanks for the info! I measured my Sonata and the opening for it is 17 3/4” x 47”, so looks like it should fit. I really appreciate you getting those measurements for me, thanks again!

    Are there any bins that you could use to put the xpremium in that would make it easier to transport?

    • @tai.randomthings
      @tai.randomthings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I have put them in husky totes from Home Depot...they fit fine. I have a video that shows that (link below). This is simply a trunk test. th-cam.com/video/8kw5E2-1e7s/w-d-xo.html

    I can fit a 26 inch folding bike into a Camry, but can't fit it into Corolla. Even a 20 inch folding bike have a hard time fitting into Corolla.

      it's tight but I am able to wiggle it into my corolla. But as you can see in the video, there were some struggles. However, I will add that after a few times, I got the hang of it and it fits in easily for me now. Sometimes I do take the pedal off and that helps a lot. Good luck and happy riding!

    What a hassle

    • @tai.randomthings
      @tai.randomthings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Very much a hassle but compared to just throwing it in the back of my truck but my truck uses so much more gas than my corolla so if I am meeting friends a ways away, it's worth the hassle to me. Also, if you get into trouble on the road, it's good to know that you can throw it in the back of an Uber.
