    I would not recommend Tannus Armour. I took my e-MTB on a trip to explore offroad in Zimbabwe in May this year. The first day I got a puncture after just 3kms, and the second day I got just 4kms before a flat, both times having to push the bike back to camp. I will rip them out and throw the inserts away as soon as I've decided what to use in their place. It wasn't a thorny area, just animal tracks in 'normal' terrain.

      I'm sorry that happened to you on your emtb. Are you running tubeless? I have them on my lectric, which i ride on the roads and 1500 miles later, no problem. I also have them on my specialized emtb but it's with tubes. I have a couple hundred miles and haven't had a problem yet. I am considering putting them in my Orbea Wild with tubeless set up but I am not clear how they help a tubeless tire so I haven't done it yet.

    Great video! I have a XP1.0 that I have put a little over 2000 miles to commute to my job year round. As I am limited to Class 2 in Canada, the clown pedalling effect is not too bad but I still have been considering this upgrade just to get a bit more resistance at higher speeds. I have also watched many posts on how to do this and IMO yours is the best! Well explained, well filmed, and nicely paced. Thanks.

    Ultimately, there is no way to protect a bike. Even when locked up correctly, you can come back and find the bike stripped. Frequently, especially downtown, the druggies have done so much collateral damage, the rest of the bike is a write-off.

    I have been researching throttle only for the past week or so. It seems like from what I'm seeing, binging reviews, is that there was almost a direct correlation to amp hours and mileage in real world non ideal conditions. So if you have a 14 amp hour battery, you can estimate around 14 miles. This is a real world conditions where there's lots of hills, inclines, starting and stopping, wind and things of that nature.

    • @tai.randomthings
      @tai.randomthings หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting...14 miles seems low. But you are 100% correct that environmental conditions (hillyness, wind, your weight, and tire pressure, etc) all play a major role on energy needed to move you 1 mile. How you throttle will also impact you. Stop and go will drain batteries quicker than steady. No different than driving a car. Happy riding!

      There are so many factors that affect distrance, terraine, wind, your weight, and riding style etc. I would say "yes", you can get 40 miles but you cannot not use all motor. You have to be doing a lot of pedalling your self and the motor is assisting you and not riding for you.

    Nice video..should work on audio quality though. Might affect watchtime retention. Keep it going!

      Thanks...I was trying a new mic and didn't realize the problem until too late. Thanks for the kind words and encouragement.

    I noticed that they have removed the X premium from their website Wonder if there will be a 2.0 soon, maybe with 1000 watt motor he he

      I noticed that too but I fear the opposite. I don't think people like pedal assist and prefer pedal for you. This would make me sad because I love my XPremium.

      I don't have personal experience with delivery service so not sure about size needs. I think the basket may not be big enough.

      It's a good XC bike but it does have limitation on true mountain bike trails. Good luck!
