Take a close look at the interior and exterior features of the 2018 Honda Fit EX in this episode of First Gear. For more information, visit: www.smailhonda...
I'm a big and tall guy, I've been looking at the fit due to the price, and I heard it's definitely a decent buy. But my only concern is leg room, especially for long distances. Would this honda be a good "Fit" for a 6'3 guy?
Thanks for watching, Saber! Our original host of First Gear was 6'3" and reviewed a 2017 Fit here: th-cam.com/video/o4Ha7tvLPa4/w-d-xo.html. He gets in and around the vehicle quite a bit, takes it for a test drive. You can maybe get a better sense of how you'd fit.
Bought my 2018 EX used in '21. Manufactured in Mexico and it shows. Paintwork not up to Honda standards. Gets 25-27 mpg in the city. 30-32 on freeway. Not a complete hair shirt of a car, since it has a sunroof and so so radio, and the seats are supportive. Takes me from point A to point B. Period.
Nice video, but does anybody know for sure if Honda Sensing contains Pedestrian detection?? I have received conflicting answers from various dealers. Consumer Reports says it's optional(along with Honda Sensing) but when I emailed Honda customer support they said "No". Although they didn't seem terribly.knowledgeable. I'm looking at a 2019 Fit EX.
I was actually thinking of the front of the car. Will it stop in low speed instances when pedestrians are detected and the driver doesn't brake in time. I have a LOT of kids in my area that love to run out into traffic.
@@BullieDad100 It does include Honda's Collision Mitigation Braking System; however, we are unaware of any information specifically addressing the pedestrian detection. You can see which vehicles have currently been rated by the IIHS for pedestrian crash avoidance here: www.iihs.org/ratings/pedestrian-crash-prevention As you'll see, the Honda CR-V received a superior rating with Honda Sensing, so although the Fit hasn't been tested, from our understanding, it does use the same technology technology.
Awesome review bro!
Thanks!
Wish it had leather steering wheel in this trim (EX manual) also wished heated seats made it to this trim level
Gave serious thought to the Orange. Bought a Modern Steel. Love the goofy looking thing. Nice little car.
Nice! Very nice 👍🏼
Well done, thankyou
Does the visors extend out for blocking the sun on the side windows on this EX trim?
Yes it does! Good question!

How’s the headroom in the fit? I’m 6 foot 3 and was wondering if I’d be squashed in or crouched.
I'm 6'2 and have plenty of head and leg room. Side to side is the only concern potentially

Hi Daniel, are you referring specifically to parking sensors? When backing up, the sensors will detect pedestrians walking behind your vehicle

Needs a leather wrapped wheel and shift, otherwise looks and feels too cheap. Wish they gave the tech stuff to the Sport model.
It is under 20k. Even the exl with a bunch of the extra features comes out to 25k and that comes with all of the fancy bells and whistles.
