I theorize that it is exactly because some of their oral traditions contained traces of history that validated scriptures, as in with giants and the flood. I think that happened to some extent, but the rulers of the time (vatican and political rulers) worked tirelessly to destroy any chance of the two cultures sharing a common understanding of history. Giant bones were taken and destroyed as they were found and natives have a very damaged understanding of what scriptures had for them as a result of being pillaged and slaughtered by men pretending to be representatives of it. They were essentially made to fear/hate the keys they had been waiting for. Also, they will be brought up as culturally relevant again, but in the context of new age one world utopia. You can see it already in the climate change fiasco. They weren't meant to be killed off, but deeply scarred while retaining an animosity for God because of what happened to them. My Fathers Mother was Native American, Cherokee/Sioux, his Father was British/Choctaw. They were wonderful people. My Grandmas parents lived very long lives, so I was lucky enough to know them and talk with them. Both told me great wonderful tales and stories, which I respect and believe. I was suprised to learn that the giants are in the bible as well. I just start studying its prophesies. I love to learn about all the Creators Wonders. I'm from the Wabanaki Nation in Maine.. I had a dream when I was seven or eight me and many other children were running from a male giant a gathered a group of kids smaller than me trying to protect them. We'd tried hiding in the trees but it did no good. Instead I hid the small children in a bush and awoke right before I was grabbed. I remember my heart pounded hard even after I was awake a long time. I didn't know this story. We have stories about giants up here. I learned them later but they are different. Some of our giants (ginup) were good. Some were man eating and always hungry like this one. Mostly we just hear about the giants who went to sleep and became the hills and mountains.

I'm from the Wabanaki Nation in Maine.. I had a dream when I was seven or eight me and many other children were running from a male giant a gathered a group of kids smaller than me trying to protect them. We'd tried hiding in the trees but it did no good. Instead I hid the small children in a bush and awoke right before I was grabbed. I remember my heart pounded hard even after I was awake a long time. I didn't know this story. We have stories about giants up here. I learned them later but they are different. Some of our giants (ginup) were good. Some were man eating and always hungry like this one. Mostly we just hear about the giants who went to sleep and became the hills and mountains.

This is true. I am crying tears of thankfulness for the Indian people who blessed our country with their forgiveness! It was not an easy pilgrimage back there in sub-zero weather to petition God for our forgiveness.
Giants are real! They have found skeletons in caves and much more! I hunt for native american artifacts in Illinois. We have so many burial mounds around my area. There are all of these awesome artifacts in the good ole USA, you just have to actually get out and look for them;)

I could listen to these stories all day. These were a great and honorable people, strong, brave and righteous. What a glorious time to be alive. We can learn so very much about the love they had for each other and the way they lived, respecting the Earth and being one with nature. There are no words to describe their mind set and lifestyle. RESPECT! If only there were a place where they still lived as they did then. I would be honored if they would allow me and my family to live among them. There is so much to be learned, so very much....RESPECT....

There are far greater truths in the stories and legends of these Peoples, than any Curriculum Standard Issued Dpt of Ed History Book.
When interpretations are better understood + artifact/fossils/finds come together, they reveal the greater truths of this World's Peoples and History.

Amazing story of how when we all work together all for the same cause, we can accomplish the impossible. This is the secret those who work hard to keep humans divided don't want us to know. Because when all mankind comes together regardless of skin color or religion rich and poor. When the day comes we will defeat them easily. And they will lose their power, they will lose control, and humanity will once again truly be free to live upon mother Earth in peace and harmony.

I agree. I think both science, religion, myths and stories are means way to explain those things we don't understand or have issues grasping a concept. There are always nuggets of truth.
For example, science is just now "proving" the Bible's claim of how the "sins" of the father were revisited upon subsequent generations.
Science is now hypothesizing about generational trauma and cellular memory.

I am Full of medicine I am Mewuk from Grandfather and found I am Yakao from my grandmother. I was able to spread love, happiness, & laughter to my grandmother before she passed 09/2018. Both tribes survived the California massacres. Great shamans, healers, and protectors on all sides of my family are with me and we worked together and sent various prayer warriors to standing rock to stop DAPL & protect all water protectors as well as bring all great gifts to protect our people & lands while reuniting the tribes from the segregation of wounded knee. There was no way we were going top let history repeat itself. United we stand. Thank you for the stories ;) My grandpa & grandma always told us stories. They were the best . Huge hugs Grandpa & grandma I Love you two dearly. My elders were warriors and some later road with Pancho villa.. My great grandma the shaman from spain on my moms side did work with pancho villa and frida kahlo with many others of california history.

The grain of truth at the beginning of this story is that tornadoes are indeed a real thing. They were in South Dakota in "a summer of storms"; a huge storm comes in, and in the middle of the storm there is a monster which rips through the village, tearing open tents, rips people out of them and throws them into its mouth, and then they are gone. The monster departs, but leaves a trail easy to follow. Yes, that giant has gone tearing in recent years through places like Joplin, MO and Tuscaloosa, AL.
Yes,I think the twister in the storm was the giant that ate people.

Yes their tribe and many others that have been around for a long time have stories of giant beings.
