Went to this game it took seven hours to get to Manchester but it was well worth it! I was right behind the goal and could not believe Quinn got away with that! Also remember the Newcastle fans invading the pitch after the game and one lady cop tripping up this big fat Geordie lad, he fell flat on his face and when he stood up he had grass in his teeth! Great game and great times to watch football!
It was at St. James' Park so it probably would of took you 7 hours to get to the game if you went to Manchester first lol
Only game of the cup run that I missed still gutted at that made sure I didn’t miss another one that season
Who remembers gazza in the studio at halftime above us reds!showing off at the window with a wod of money,are coach got smashed after the game, so did a few of us
and before the game, lol- fair play to admitting it though. Used to enjoy doing the mancs at ours but got it back at yours so far from all our own way. NUFC.

I was at this game. All the geordies came running from the Gallowgate across the pitch at the end to where we were in the Leazes, but the police had already formed a cordon across the pitch. Heading back to Manchester on the coaches there were kids throwing rocks at us all the way out of the city. How it should be really. Fuck modern football.
Mi Ke was at the game as well - in the seats - minimal segregation 5 goals and we were brawling every time there was a goal
Mi Ke I was there as well 😀. We got off the train and were led past a load of Geordies who had pulled out of a pub. A copper said that we had better hope that we lost today as the Neanderthals sang 'Manchester wank, wank, wank' to us. I remember thinking what a dickhead he was 😀. Real football, real animosity, just how it should be.
Great game and atmosphere
We had about 8,000 up there that day behind the goal and on the side opposite the cameras. The Geordies were on the pitch at the end and our coaches were bricked to fuck on the way back to Manchester. We won the cup though!

@@Willsey I was sat on the side in the seats next to the Leazes - we had part of the bottom and top tiers to the left of the standing section - so you're completely wrong. Look where the Carling Black Label ad is in the clip and you'll see people with United shirts on. By United, I mean the only United in red. 😀

+BertAtkin in league game in 85 we had a go apparently I wasn't there. man u lads acknowledge that we should have followed up scattering you right upside the ground after game but we didn't follow it up and got picked off in small groups. respect to man utd in general but you've been tortured up here apart from the season you brought a he'll of a firm up and did us after game around rosies bar big style. I ended up on car bonnet. one of the best mobs I've seen in over thirty years on Newcastle after Chelsea and Millwall but it was just the once.

That game Man Utd getting a proper hiding down Tilleys , and smashed all over at the Black Bull. Remember about 7-8 years ago Man U at home , they had a mob in Tilleys wouldn't come out. Talked to some of Man Utds lads on my jollies they said if Newcastle could stay off the drink and get organised not many could touch us , he was right. When we did get it together not many could touch us. But hats off to Man U always been there , the MIB done Newcastle at home beside the garage on barrack road It was icy as fuck , Newcastle got a good result later on the day but damage already done.

Actually he was a decent keeper but suffered from a lack of confidence. He and his wife never forgave Fergie when he dropped him
