After tracking a Soviet landing force bound for Iceland it is time to plan your attack. Do you silently close in to torpedo the landing ships and escape during the resulting chaos? Or strike with long-range missiles but risk counterattack from the enemy escorts? Have you detected them all, could another submarine be out there listening for you? Has the hunter become the hunted? Will you survive the Cold Waters?
Inspired by the 1988 classic “Red Storm Rising”, command a nuclear submarine in a desperate attempt to prevent “mutually assured destruction” when the Cold War gets hot and WWIII begins.
You will be tasked with intercepting convoys, amphibious landings, insertion missions and battling it out with enemy warships, submarines and aircraft. Thankfully, an arsenal of wire-guided torpedoes, anti-ship and cruise missiles and the occasional SEAL team are on board to keep the Iron Curtain at bay.

Cold Waters just got the Greenlight on Steam!
A big thanks to all those who came out and voted to make this happen.
Once we get Cold Waters finished we'll be able to assess what it'll take to get it ported to mobile devices. It is planned, but Cold Waters is a full PC game and may be unsuited or too much work to port. We'll have to see how it goes.
No. We're saying we'd like to publish it through Steam and have to go through their Greenlight process to be approved.
Cold Waters just got approved! Over the next months we'll be finishing up the game and then it will be released on Steam.

is it a strategic simulator or more like a submarine sim like Tom Clancy's SSN,dangerous waters and other games like that?
It is much closer to Tom Clancy's SSN and Red Storm Rising.

Oh god. After playing Dangerous Waters for years, a modern navy/submarine warfare game with much better scene! So happy! Hope I can use those broadband narrowband sonar and TMA and all that stuff in game~ Thank you Killerfish Games!!

i have just picked this game up and have played it for about 5 hours, and Im loving it so far. you guys did seriously put a lot of work into this game, I am just wondering will there be Russian Campaign/single missions in the future?

@@duketheprotogen7409 basically the germans took half their bloody navy to hunt what they thought was a few small british ships but it was a trap and ended up being the largest naval engagement of WW1. Aside from that, some smaller battles around that time happened in the baltic sea and a few off the coast of South America. Also, the three most succesfull U-Boot commanders meassured in tonnage all operated during WW1.

Hell's yeah! is it going to work on windows 10? and is it going to have a mission editor like dangerous waters and sub command 688(i) had so we can make our own epic battles that we can play ourselves or share with our friends?
Yes, Windows 10 is supported. In fact the game was developed on a system running Windows 10.
Mission editor: missions are based on text files and these can be edited (or new ones created) and shared with your friends.
Does this play like fleet command or Command at all? If it does I'm really looking forward to this!

If you like tactical decision making, being the commander of a submarine and dynamic campaigns, then very likely.
If you like 3D interiors and operating individual stations, Silent Hunter does those.

Mobile ports will be examined once the game is done. It might be too complex to port to mobiles, but we'll see.

It would be cool to play has a russian submarine too. Hunting american convoys and escaping, launching land attacks with cruise missiles, intercepting a carrier task force. Attacking enemy subs attacking the homeland.
