I LOVED this video. I could watch your videos for HOURS, I love 80's commercials! As someone not being born until '94, I can understand why these commercials are so cool.
First..Welcome Back! A lot of us loved the Merlin, mainly because it was electronic. And after it died, we had a sort of play-telephone. Any of these early 80's electronics that required "penlite" batteries (hahaha) were kind of hard to figure out without instructions. I swear the 3 Musketeers WERE bigger back then. Or we were smaller. Looks like Emily Schulman (neighbor from Small Wonder) in the Oscar Mayer commercial. Thanks again! Hope to see some more old Halloween commercials to get in the spirit.
Thanks for taking the time out of your personal life to research, find, edit. and upload the commercials for all who enjoy looking back at a time in our lives and for those who haven't experienced it. I almost thought Vol. 340 was going to be your last video but I see you've added more.
0:40 Never knew Glenda and the Wicked Witch of the West endorsed Kellogg's Mini Wheats! The commercials are so different today it's very weird that it used to be this simple.
That 3 Musketeers bar seemed massive! Vaguely recall Frosted Rice...the problem was that it became soggy and the frosting separated from the rice in the bowl, gross looking! Thanks for taking the time to upload, we have patience and always appreciate your vids!!
80sCommercialVault good grief. Thank god you're ok. If anybody needs to kick the bucket it's the 2000'scommercialVault guy ;) Long live the 80's and early 90's....All i have to say about the 2000's is.... Up yours with a twirling lawnmower!
The voice of the trucker in the "Go Getter Plus" commercial reminds me of the voice from "The Good Guys" audio/video store commercial. But maybe that's just me.
I grew up in the Washington D.C. area and in the 80s CBS affiliate was WDVM ( 6:05 ) which changed to WUSA in the 90s (I think) such a great nostalgic trip! Back then it seemed that you kinda had to know the station call letters to move around the ol' TV dial
I love these posts! You were the first channel I subscribed to and in my opinion the best channel on TH-cam. You inspired me to create my own channel. Forget about these dummies who just want attention. The rest of us appreciate you for taking your time to give us a few moments of nostalgic happiness. Ignore the haters. You can't please everybody. Just focus on those of us who love you and appreciate you. Keep up the good work!
You know with all the Fat Albert Halloween Special bumpers...I kind of want to watch Fat Albert's Halloween Special now...that's one I never saw...or if I did I don't remember it...I mean how can someone forget seeing Fat Albert's Halloween Special? I was 1 when these aired sooooo the odds are not good that I saw Fat Albert's Halloween Special. ;-)
There's lil' Jenny Lewis @ 9:09 ! She was in the '89 flick "Troop Beverly Hills" (my comments have a theme going LOL) She's a big indie/Alt rock singer nowadays
He disappeared from their advertising when Frosted Rice cereal changed its name to Frosted Rice Krispies in 1982. He can however be seen in this Kellogg's Christmas commercial from 1989: th-cam.com/video/bUuNJYv7W-4/w-d-xo.htmlm7s

The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

These bring back great memories thanks for the upload
Great to see you back! Thanks for the upload! :D
I always have playlists from this channel playing while I study and at work
Thanks for these!! I'm glad you put the show bumpers on there too. I totally forgot that there was a Fat Albert Halloween special!
It would be so cool if food and beverage companies started using their 80's logos and packaging again. That 3 Musketeers bar looked classy.
Good to have you back, brother.
I sometimes check up to see if you you hadn't been blocked or something.
Thanks for these videos.
Me too!
What a great time it was back then...I really miss the 70's and the 80's
That looks like a young Ian Ziering in the Bank Shot commercial
The voice of the trucker in the "Go Getter Plus" commercial reminds me of the voice from "The Good Guys" audio/video store commercial. But maybe that's just me.
Wow I remember when they used to call AA batteries pen light batteries. I was nine when this aired.
I grew up in the Washington D.C. area and in the 80s CBS affiliate was WDVM
( 6:05 ) which changed to WUSA in the 90s (I think) such a great nostalgic trip! Back then it seemed that you kinda had to know the station call letters to move around the ol' TV dial
6:35 ......."Bet you're gay."
“And now these messages...” 80’s television code for - this show is almost over
6:44 Gimme a break.
2:45 Never knew Tony had a son. At least he's not as annoying as
Sylvester Jr. lol
Back in the 80's is was imperative to have a ready supply of "six penlight batteries".
Who was the voice of those CBS promos back then? Always recognize that voice instantly.
I swear the blond kid in the Bank Shot commercial @ 1:18 is none other than Beverly Hills 90210's Ian Zering! I didn't know he was a child actor
MsFarzee Great eyes!!!!! Yup, it Ian alright.

How could anyone hate this channel?! It's so straight-forward and delivers exactly what it offers!
@@griffisbrent You'd (or anyone else for that matter) be crazy to hate this channel
@@tinamarie86 Oh yeah, I've been subscribed to this one for quite a while now! I love watching these on the treadmill!
MERLIN!!!! I was beginning to think that toy was a figment of my imagination.
I remember when they would always say Penlight Batteries. Now I wonder what was so hard in saying 6 AA or AAA batteries not included ?
I miss these days...
You know with all the Fat Albert Halloween Special bumpers...I kind of want to watch Fat Albert's Halloween Special now...that's one I never saw...or if I did I don't remember it...I mean how can someone forget seeing Fat Albert's Halloween Special? Which special were you talking about? It wasn't made clear in your comment.
I am assuming that Kellogg's and Parker Bros are sponsoring this special
0:05 and 4:25 should make it pretty clear. Maybe try watching the video next time?
Could be worse. Oscar Mayer could have used Porky Pig for the hot dog commercial.
Must purchase 6 penlight batteries...
Yay!!! Ty

80sCommercialVault Thank you for uploading this. Greatest channel, ever! :D
Alright, yer back \ ・ω・/
Life was better back then.
Whatever happened to Tony the Tiger’s son?
He disappeared from their advertising when Frosted Rice cereal changed its name to Frosted Rice Krispies in 1982. He can however be seen in this Kellogg's Christmas commercial from 1989: th-cam.com/video/bUuNJYv7W-4/w-d-xo.htmlm7s
