Wow younger bro ,you're really doing well. This is the type of solo I typically would have a framework memorized and it would come out different every time. I've been playing by ear for over 50 years so it's neat to watch it be written out. I decided at 60. I would learn to read music again. So I'm following my buddy's new channel and this one. Gabriel casas. Beginning piano... After I was 50 I figured out I had a mild form of dyslexia. And the written word or written music is difficult for my brain... Not impossible . but I actually have to read out loud. so I'll probably actually have to play out loud while I'm doing this.
Really good lessons for these Allman Brothers tunes, I really appreciate the backing track for this. I think it's incredible how much mileage Dickey gets out of the E pentatonic, but at the same time if you can learn one ABB tune (or solo/fills/etc.) in those frets then you can learn others without much difficulty. As you say, just slight variations.
