    Thanks for making this video. I just bought this exact telescope used. I plan on taking it 100% apart and putting it back together properly like you showed.

    The "bumpers" are bearings that suspend the OTA.

    Do the four black "roller supports" actually spin when you pitch it up and down?

      No they don’t. They’re just a low friction surface for the scope itself to spin on.

    how big in inches is the base

      Not sure as I’ve been overseas and away from the scope a few weeks now. At a guess is say it’s about 18-20 inches in diameter.
