Specific tips: There are never any shops or chest rooms in Bullet Hell, so you don’t need to explore the whole of the level, just get to the boss room. The likelihood of NPCs appearing in Bullet Hell is very low too, I can only ever remember seeing Gun Munchers (which are not worth putting guns into). Depending on the map generation, there is a way to determine which paths are dead-ends and which aren’t, so until you can recognise those paths you want to keep your options open as you pass from level to level. Bullet Hell is designed to take away your resources for the final fight, so taking it as slowly and safely as possible is best, but there will be situations where you need to use your best weapons so you don’t get swarmed and die. Unless you have extremely high Coolness/Curse, the chances of getting any pickups is low, so if you’ve made it to the boss room just go to the boss, you’re more likely to lose health/ammo if you try to chance it. Good luck!
@@RiggyRob Thank you very much, this is insightful. But I do have two questions if you do not mind. First off, I was wondering how I can best recognize paths which lead to dead ends. So far, EtG is the only rouge-lite that I have played where this seems nearly impossible to do, so I would appreciate a bit of help in that respect. My other question would be how having high curse is helpful. I've noticed that some people seem to purposefully pick up cursed items with the intent of amalgamating a possible high curse stat so I thought there is an advantage to it and I am just too dumb to figure it out. Thank you for your advice!
This should help with the Bullet Hell paths: www.reddit.com/r/EnterTheGungeon/comments/4ipdbb/spoiler_final_floor_map_explanation/ At the start, you have 3 choices. 2 of them will loop into each other, as well as containing the way forward; 1 will hit a dead end. You therefore generally want to take the middle path, since it's likely to be part of the loop. -After you've found the way forward from the loop, you'll run into a second split to give you another 3 choices of how to proceed. Again two of the paths will loop into each other, but this time it's the odd man out that will contain the way forward. So you want to pick one of the sides, and if it looks like it's going to loop, you can switch to the other one. -After a few rooms on the correct path, you'll run into a final split into 3. In this case, two paths will end in dead ends and one will take you to the Lich. Afaik at this point the best you can do is look at the map and kind of figure out where there is space for a few rooms + a boss room to generate and then take that path. Having high Curse means that you are more likely to have drops after a room is cleared, such as health, ammo or chests. The downside is that enemies tend to become Jammed and harder to kill, and chests are potentially mimics too. Curse is a lot easier to gain than Coolness as well, since you can intentionally give yourself curse via items and curse jars. Hope that helps!
Easiest is to pray at the shrine in the very first room of the run to get an automatic 9 curse, and then pick up a guaranteed curse item (e.g. Cursed Bullets) to hit 10 for Lord of the Jammed to start following you. The curse number can actually go higher than 10, but nothing else changes after going above 10.
So, any specific tips?

RiggyRob + Pimmsy Play Thank you so much. That seems very helpful.
Retrospectively, this was extraordinarily helpful! Thank you very much.
Hey what is the best way to get max curse

Btw you need to kill the past of the character you're playing to pray at the shine so it's kinda a sercret
