Another lovely review! I've been wanting Bois Des Iles for ages now but your video has really spurred me on even more :) Hopefully going to win it on ebay this Sunday, fingers crossed! :)
I'm trying to decide which Chanel I want to acquire; reading reviews & watching videos to limit my choices (no Chanel boutique near me). This is one that I keep coming back to (as well as Sycomore & Coromandel) but I just can't blind-buy! Will have to try to get sample from somewhere or make a trip to Toronto in near future to C. boutique. I like the way you describe fragrances. I've been sampling so many niche brands lately and, while they are pretty or interesting, they have no real oomph or impact. I think a classic Chanel might be what I need. BTW, is yours the EdT or the EdP? I've read that they're quite different. Keep up your good work on beauty & fragrances. Always enjoy.
Missfrankiecat It's an indulgence for sure but so worth it. I am a Chanel Eau de Parfum girl- Allure and Chance being my mainstays but it started with No19. I store my bottles like fine wine - dark with a cool constant temperature, they seem to last well. Thanks again, I had seen it but never tried it, now I have a new love. New love is always a good thing.
Lovely video and review. What an amazing idea and strategy to purchase second hand fragrance , when you are not sure whether you'd keep it or not. Not sure if it is appropriate to ask , but I would like to hear your opinion about your pore - tightening solutions. Thank you. x
Not sure which pore-tightening product you had in mind - I don't really have any specific products as it's mostly about disguise. I did mention that the Korean BB cream I got recently from Space NK [3CE] was supposed, according to various write-ups to be good for disguising enlarged pores. I haven't given it a very thorough test yet but so far not really impressed. I find Tom Ford primers the best for concealing.
I will try to get a sample of this from ebay. I would prefer to get smaller amounts of a fragrance and pay less. I rarely finish a full bottle of anything. Thanks for the review. Beth
Thanks for the link, it looks like a great resource for sample decants. Unfortunately it only seems to ship to the UK, and I am in the U.S. Usually I will try ""The perfume court" website but oddly enough they don't carry any Chanel fragrances.
It's one of my favourites, along with Coromandel and Cuir de Russie, perhaps being one of the easiest to wear. Love that you love it!
I think it's a lot easier than Cuir de Russie; still never given Coromandel much of a try - maybe this winter!

Is the spray perfume or something else??
Thankyou so much for this review.
Went into the store and tried it on your recommendation.
It wore so beautifully that I am going back to purchase :-)
I'm really glad you love it too - sorry for making you spend so much money but at least the bottles last for ages!

Great review. I'm obsessed with this perfume too. Just beautiful.
Thanks. It is a lovely fragrance.
Fantastic review.
I really like watching your videos because you seem quite knowledgable
Seem being the operative word - I do like to share my opinions! Thanks for watching.

Unisex or femenine?
Have a listen - I do talk about this in the video.

I buy a lot of samples from this site: www.fragrancesamplesuk.com/collections/chanel-les-exclusifs-fragrance-samples

Oh goodness I'm so sorry, I just assumed you were in the UK. Ebay is definitely your best bet in that case. Good luck!
You're welcome Beth
