For those of us who have watched you for a LONG time, this was a great throwback to how you use to shop. Needing money for a car repair and going and finding the item that would make you that much profit. What an awesome way to teach the basics to those who are here to learn.
I joined your channel when Cissy still fitted into a childs trolley seat,I have seen your hard work and tenacity pay off. Your work ethic is impressive, and I would like to thank you for sharing your journey ,even on those days when family life has been difficult ,you have been consistent. You are a true professional.
Salvation Army, yard sale, next thing you know you'll be doing a haul video at your dining room table with a bird on Drew's shoulder. The good old days!! 🙂
This was precious…but after spending the $10, I would have “cheated” and gone back for those curved glass, dried flower frames!! The frames alone are sought after. Haha. Your integrity remained intact! 😂❤. Good job!
I was thinking the same thing 😂 that maybe off camera she would get the other stuff she wanted and it just not be part of the $10 challenge. We all don't have to know everything 😂🤣
Joce, I've been with you since the kids were "babies",,, (home renovations) you are my sunshine everyday. I'm on mental disability, age 56. Thank you ❤
Oh my goodness what a fun video!! Watching you for less than a year, I feel like I’m missing out on the older videos - I’m just starting out, so the budget is soo realistic for me but hard to stick with it. This motivates me. Thank you!
Yes if you can go back and watch her old videos. Lots of hauls for little money plus she’s so knowledgeable that she shares her knowledge and little by little you will pick up what to look for as well as names. I found 2 silver crest candlesticks this past week and I only knew what they were because of Crazy Lamp Lady.
@@Bettyboop991 gosh that’s awesome!! I binge her current videos and have a ton of knowledge now just for passively listening. Earlier this week I started on her older videos, and it’s just such a joy seeing her excitement about her finds from a different time in her life. Very relatable to the chapter I’m at in my life… able to identify things, but I have to be more choosy with what I actually take home with me. These videos are a really fun way to get curious and learn about works of art, with a really down to earth and caring teacher like Jocelyn. Happy to be here. ☺️
…Ty for thinking of those who don’t have expendable income. It’s different now with your success-which is great for you! But, many of your newer videos are too rich and speendy for most resellers’ blood, and it’s difficult to relate. Miss the old videos, but you are evolving, which is wonderful for you! 🙏🏼🙂
She may be too spendy for us new resellers however she is highly informative and knowledgeable and willing to lead us to being able to spend more eventually. I think she's a great teacher who's never forgotten her roots.. where she started and where she is now, who truly wants all resellers to succeed and guides us.
Love this challenge! Was watching you way back then, and you really motivated me with the potential to get great scores within a reasonable startup budget. And how classic is it that your first pick was lamp?!
I liked this video! It was fun to see what you could get for $10.00 that would hopefully turn the largest profit! This Salvation Army store had some really good buys on this day and it took some real discipline to stay within that meager budget!! Kudos to Jocelyn!! 🥳👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼✨
This! I started reselling over 20 years ago to pay medical bills. Started out with very little money & grew reselling business. I don't do near the volume I did 15-20 years ago, but working on it
That was awesome.. What I love about Sally's is.. in my area. Ohio.. there are 3 sales.. 2 colors are 50 % off and 1 color is .99.. I happened to be there today and scored a celadon vase fir a $1 that is worth about $148 dollars..
What a little gold mine. You know value when you see it which far surpasses your budget constraints. Valuable lesson about economies, self-discipline and wisdom. You have a very special skill set. (P.S. I think the dried flower decor is stellar, but you made the better choice.) Such an engaging video! Loved it.
Oh I so love the challenges you put out! They are so fun... cant wait to see who wins but most importantly.... did you go back and get the other stuff outside the challenge to sell?
You made it Jocelyn !!! I miss seeing you at the old shop working with your mom & Andrew working in the back wrapping items to be shipped out !!! I miss seeing you & your mom doing your two booths !!! 😢😮
I really enjoyed this video... going old school/way back to your early days. And then Andrew at the end with his $10. haul... so the competition is on!
Love a competition 😃 both the yard sale and the Salvation Army store had some great pieces. Really liked the old glass bottle with original stopper that Andrew found too.
You did a fabulous service for the viewers who sell and don’t have a lot to spend to get started. Finding Waterford at the thrift is amazing! I went to Savers a couple of weeks ago for some jeans and it was packed with people and not a lot of merchandise. In the candle section there was a clear glass votive looking piece. It was $1.99 so I thought I’d pick it up. Did not see any markings but it felt quality. Turns out it was Waterford, the etching was very hard to find.
Sorry Andrew, that's not a Railroad globe. It's a common Dietz lantern globe for a barn lantern. Don't forget the big whack out of the bottom of the globe. Fun spongin ya! Great concept for your video, Jocelyn.
Were you going to fun sponge Andrew’s bowl. It has a chip and crack on the rim Other than that his stuff is cool but you found Waterford I think you will win unless his thimble is rare. Love the challenge. Loved watching you in the beginning when you would do metal detecting as well. Love seeing your success and watch you work out your growing pains. You are fab lady through and through
It's a contest between Drew & Jocelyn! Woo hoo! Who will win????Jocelyn or Drew? By the way I would have put purchase in car and went back in store saying I came back for some items
My goodwill gives you a ‘Point’ when you spend $15. Then when you get 15 total points, they give you a 25% off coupon to use on a later shopping trip. That is why I make my budget $15 for each stop at goodwill😬. This was a very fun video!
Loved the $10 challenge! 😊 Hate to be a fun sponge, but there was a nasty chip on the ceramic bowl Andrew found at 21:20. I think Jocelyn saw it, too. ☹
I wish my Waterford could sell at those prices. I've had a Lismore perfume in my booth for almost 2 months...priced at $26.95. I also have 2 4" vases that I bought in a baggie at Valley Thrift for practically nothing. Well...somebody stole 1😢
Does anyone remember when she found the 2 Murano glass lamps worth about 10x what they were marked??? Juliette was just a tiny little girl then and Jocelyn used to wear lipstick!
Yesterday I got an email for a local estate sale that featured vintage car models. I showed the picture to my husband and said that we should check it out, plus I liked the green lamp in the corner. He said what lamp? And as I was handing him my phone I realized what lamp it was. I got so excited showing him I spilled his coffee all over the living room floor! 🤣 So today we went and he found models and I found TWO of the Aladdin lily of the valley lamps in dark green with finials!!!!! Now I have to figure out how to clean 50+ years of nicotine and dust off them. I'm afraid to use something like 409 or Fantastic. Is Dawn safe?
All I could think was you kept it under $10.00, but you never said you couldn’t take that to the car and then head back in and get the other goodies. 😂
Question or Request- can you show what you have to do after you sell something online (shipping, package and how do you get the money after you sell it)?
Sorry you didn’t pick up the Hartstone augratin dish (on the .99 shelf you thought the marking was chartstone) the pattern is provincial posy and is collectible. Replacements has it for sale for $159.95!
For those of us who have watched you for a LONG time, this was a great throwback to how you use to shop. Needing money for a car repair and going and finding the item that would make you that much profit. What an awesome way to teach the basics to those who are here to learn.
I remember when she couldn't pay over $25 for a piece of Murano

Now leave out the door and then go back in for the other stuff you did what you said ❤
Salvation Army, yard sale, next thing you know you'll be doing a haul video at your dining room table with a bird on Drew's shoulder. The good old days!! 🙂
Those videos were so much fun 😂
😂😂
I was thinking the same thing. With a train going by lol
I LOVED the old days haul videos at the table with the birds, too!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I agree. It was fun sharing their humor and learning about them.
This was precious…but after spending the $10, I would have “cheated” and gone back for those curved glass, dried flower frames!! The frames alone are sought after. Haha. Your integrity remained intact! 😂❤. Good job!
Same! 😂
Maybe she did!

@@KarisParadiseVintage exactly 😘🤣
Lamp Lady scores a lamp, true to her name! Will keep this in mind about finials... Love the challenge.
I think the universe handed you that gorgeous lamp just for funzies, with this video being the throwback to your old days and all!! 😊😂
Going back to your roots nets you a lamp. Wow.
I love the @10 challenge. And Andrew joining in was the icing on the cake!
😆Andrew was so excited lmao he is so funny! You found great things now get back and bye the stuff you left behind! Lol😆

OK now go back in and get the rest of the items!
The pottery PEACE with birds…the birds I believe were doves which then would be quite appropriate with PEACE 🕊️
Andrew has such a great eye! He always picks the coolest things. Thanks for sharing your incredible wealth of knowledge with us.
I think Andrew won!😅
Wow so nice seeing you and Andrew doing the 10 challenge again thanks for the years of content 😊
those dried flowers in frames were a craft kit from the 70s, i remember making a set of them for wall decor when i fist got married, LOL!
Clever marketing! Love the challenge and sacrifice! It is so good to see Andrew, I really miss him! ❤

What a beautiful lamp. Loved how you tried the salvation Army you should add this to your rotation. Love the video.
Wow! Andrew is very detail oriented!
I need the “sold” video on this! And the winner winner who’s making dinner?
Gotta to admit I love the videos with you and Andrew.
That was a lot of fun. I enjoyed it.🎉😊
How fun I will be excited to see if you or Andrew wins the $10.00 challenge. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Oh Josylyn. I love those dried flower prints! Wish you could go back and get them…. They are beautiful! ❤
I think you both did very well

Loved this!!
Go out and come back in
That's what I thought too
Love this challenge. Next challenge could be to sell the items you brought and then go back to the thrift store with the profits you made and so on !
Throw back video and CLL finds a lamp! 😂
I loved the old flea market videos too. Happy you've come so far but do miss those days. Remember inflation though. Thank you!
Sounds like you should do a weekly challenge at that store. Looks like some good stuff.
Fun $10 challenge. That must've been so hard to refrain from getting more. 😊 I'm not sure I could do it. Lol. 😂 Good for you. 🎉🎉and Andrew.
It was fun seeing Andrew and his finds too... I'll be curious what his sell for!
I am shocked you found more than one item. All the thrift stores are so expensive now.
You did great!! ⭐️

Good will will go out of business if they don't change back to the original business model
I understand and appreciate your challenge but those dried flowers wall art pieces were so nice!!

Honestly your finds here were more interesting than goodwill has been lately!
Love this idea....

I hope you went back, after paying for your budget pieces, and bought the other good pieces😆. It seems a shame to leave some of those things behind.

Did Andrew know what you got?😉
