@@faaris7432 well zane got some attention with the true potential part near the beginning, defeating the overlord single handed, and the elemental dragons near the end of tournament of elements. and jay has gotten so much attention its insane, almost as much as lloyd tbh. there was prime empire, skybound, a little bit in march of the oni with proposing to nya, and then a little bit more in the end of seabound with almost dying from drowning and losing nya. plus i feel like he will get even more attention in the next season along with kai.
i just wanted to say Zane gave up half of his power source to pixel... HE KILLED THE OVERLORD AT HALF POWER

Kai is still to this day my favorite ninja but I do agree. He really needs development. I’m really hoping that Season 16 is a Kai focus because he really needs a lot of development and I feel like right after Nya leaves the team would be a perfect time for him to get development because Nya was all he had growing up since his parents left so he and Nya got a lot of time together and kinda rely on each other. So we had better get to see how that affects Kai and see some big character development for him in Season 16.

Kai is only the weakest in the new seasons they basically made him a side charcter the last time he got spotlight is when he lost his fire and they forget it after like 5 episodes

It's hard to say really. Kai hasn't done much since hands of time. It may seem as if jay is useless but he ends up doing a lot for the team. Zane singlehandedly beat the overlord and aspheera but he's always getting hurt every other season. Nya is probably the best at controlling her element. Cole and Lloyd are the only ones I can say are not weak

Zane does a lot for the team as well, definitely more so than characters like Jay, Kai, Nya and Cole. He's arguably the most useful for the team and for you to not mention and leave that out is highly disingenuous. You're underestimating how crucial and valuable to the team he is, it's even said by the others in the show too. Show some respect to Zane.

Also you say you don't care about value yet talk about Jay being useful and doing a lot for the team (even though he's amongst the useless) but say nothing about Zane even though he is significantly more useful (even the other ninjas acknowledge it) and arguably the most useful as a robot and has so much for the team for you to try and even discredit and ignore. Lastly nobody is thinking that the immature manchild is stronger or more useful than a walking supercomputer and you know that. If you fail to see or acknowledge that Zane is a strong character overall based on every season then you're absolutely delusional.

@@yordijager5733 Yeah and the emotionally strongest is either zane or cole cuz they've both been through a lot like cole lost his mom at a young age, had a terrible relationship with his dad, then became a ghost and was almost trapped in the haunted temple and forgotten forever. And then Zane has died and been taken apart multiple times and his girlfriend also died and he had no mom and his dad died.

Kai hasn't done much since Hand of Time honestly. In the fire chapter, he wasn't exactly a main character, even though he lost his powers, and regaining his power in the ice chapter didn't really result in any character development. Would love a Kai focus season.
I liked Kai's older personality, I liked hot-head, stubborn, dude. The new him practically has not emotion AT ALL, I noticed that Nya often does things that I this Kai should do.
Kai has always been my favorite ninja, but I knew it was going to be Kai before I watched this video. Kai's development has been neglected as of late.

Kai is my favorite ninja and I'm beginning to think that the development progress on his character is becoming questionable... . It's been 8 years since we saw a solo season for Kai. Even season 11 did not provide him enough focus as mauch as the other ninja. And I'm very disappointed at the ninjago team because of this. Please show Kai some love. I hate to see the main character slowly fade in to the background and eventually forgotten.
He was the main character before the oni trilogy now he’s the least main of the ninja
Also, Kai's solo season was basically stolen from him in the last couple of episodes
I think Kai should have a story where the source of his powers is an elemental fire dragon sealed inside him, that starts to get control of him when he starts to feel sad about it takes control of him to make him loose control and try to tempt Kai to set him free (similar to Naruto and Kurama's early relationship). Skylor could be there to help Kai gain control (and Nya too). Kai and the dragon's relationship develops to give Kai new powers to defeat the new insanely powerful villain. Also, I've always had the feeling that ever since Lloyd became green ninja, Kai's development could have been him believing that he could still be the best ninja without beeing the green ninja or golden master so he trains while helping Lloyd (as his guardian and the team), also, I always saw the potential of Kai going on his own adventures (like Sonic) and Lloyd tagging along (like Tails) to be a separate team till Jay tags along (like Knuckles) to form a sub team within the Ninja team. Also Kai getting a new rival would be awesome!
That story would be pretty cool but it would rip off naruto in a sort of way cause we all know naruto had a beast inside him later to know he was called kurama and killed narutos parents and others aswell also understood why everyone was scared off him and felt bad. Honestly I think it’d be a good idea but everyone would just call it a naruto rip off
i do want to see a lloyd and kai fight like naruto and sasuki. and i like the idea of kai training and being ahead of lloyd convincing he is the best ninja without being the golden one
I really thought Jay would be last, and thats coming from a Jay fan. I honestly think Jay has never done anything super spectacular, like defeating the overloard, or stopping any huge major threat on his own. They new seasons definitely made him more cowardly. I wish he stayed the same as in the pilot episodes, because he was still a goof, but he kicked ass. Idk just my opinion

I really feel like Kai has been shafted ever since the green Ninja was revealed, even in season 4, the best season for Kai in my opinion, the final battle wasn't for him, but for Lloyd

Kai has always been my favorite ninja, but I definitely agree with your opinion on this subject. Kai hasn’t gotten a lot of development lately, and over the course of the series he went from the main character to just a side character getting little to no attention. Kai deserves a good story arc, and I hope he gets that in the next season. With the loss of Nya, there is a great opportunity for some interesting character development and a solid story line, considering how close Kai and Nya are/were. I loved Kai’s small arc in season 11, but I would agree with the fact that it was overshadowed by some other characters throughout the season. Kai has easily been the most neglected of the ninja, and because of that, he’s become a rather weak character personality wise, even though there’s a lot of potential. Kai has trouble managing his anger and jumping into things too early and so on, so I think it would be interesting if in season 16, because of the loss of Nya, these traits of his become overbearing and he has to learn to deal with everything, one way or another.
TL;DR: Kai’s character development has been severely neglected over the last few years, and I hope the next season does him some justice.
Kai has the most amount of mentions in the script every season pilot-7 (minus DOTD) except for season 6. (Which is jay obv) yes even season 3 he has more than Zane. He was def the main character by far. Now he is hardly even a thought.

Its been a while since we've had a Zane centered Season (Season 4 and Ice chapter dont count) but Zane's last main focus was Season 3! thats a long long time, we need more Zane his story hasn't been all patched up yet and probably the most mysterious ninja.
I agree. Kai isn't my favorite ninja, Jay is, and I can I can see why Jay is so low on the list, as well as Kai. I was expecting it either way, as I don't like Jay for his skills (I'm pretty sure nobody does to be honest), but for his personality.
People like him for both to be honest. Some think his lightning power is cool but Jay can do more. He is a smart person and funny too. In season 6 Seabound, when the other ninja were trapped and Nya was captured Jay was all alone and instead of giving up, he created his own team to save everyone and that showed he is capable of being a leader and that way he is skilled.
It triggers me when someone talk about cole he always say he got spinjitzu burst cause unless he is in the dungeons of shintaro he cant use it and personally i think kai has been through more then jay...he thought his parents were dead for most of his life
It's still a skill he has. Even if it requires a special circumstance to activate. Chill out.
And of course Kai has been through more, *Cole* only has 1 season that isn't DOTD. We've seen more of Kai in the spotlight than Cole will likely get for years to come or ever.
Nya does have a lot of physical strength, but her mental is very low, she gives up a lot which makes her physical not really important

I think this is a very sound "list". Hopefully next year Kai and Jay will get major development where they will be on equal footing with the others.
I love all the other ninja, but i’m really hoping season 16 is a Kai season over a Jay season. Overall Kai needs more development and if there is a storyline focusing on the grief of losing Nya. Kai should be focused on because he lost his sister who has been a constant in his life for almost all of it. He basically raised her and he should get the chance to grieve and grow

In my opinion, Kai is the weakest ninja, by a pretty long shot actually. His anger and recklessness always gets the better of him, which makes him put himself and all the other ninja in danger. (Think the boiling sea, he almost got Nya and himself killed because he didn't think about anything and just went for it) Also, his power is kinda irrelevant. Like, Jay can create fire with his lighting Powers. In my opinion, this makes Kai emotionally and phisically the weakest link in the ninja team.
I know this was written 6 months ago. But this video is of no use anymore as we see kai absolutely destroying jay (would have destroyed if master wu didnt interfere). So kai is better than jay.

People forget that in most battles physical strength won’t always win. Master Wu proved that by beating all 6 ninja easily. Mental strength is just as important and that is something Kai doesn’t have because most times, he doesn’t think.
Since season 11 came out the new studio ninjago went into just erased the ninjas characters and turned them back to where they were from like 6 years ago

I don’t think it is fair to eliminate Nya before Cole. Nya used that form once. Plus in that form, technically Jay is the only one that can beat her because lightning power can defeat her water form.

2 years later… I disagree with this because in ninjago legacy the 6 virtues the first episode when Lloyd’s power is coming towards him, Kai blocks it by directing it with his fire. He managed to defeat the ice dragon thing in the ice chapter and in dragons rising he will be the first to master dragon rising technique in season 2 part 1

I don't think kai is the weakest and that's most likely because he is the confident/brave one. In my opinion i think jay is probably the weakest because i don't think we have actually seen him fight strongly or unless he is with all the ninja. I feel like he is just there doing what the rest of the ninja do. Although i do agree with you on the fact that Kai is probably the least person do have showed up on his own, ever since season 11 showed up we haven't really seen Kai do anything. This is obviosly just my opinion.
You forgot something about Zane, he’s a ROBOT he has a computer in his head, he’s like the smartest out of all the ninja so he definitely isn’t the weakest.
I agree, Zane is the smartest, and most logical, calm and level headed one, pure in heart and also the brains of the team. Definitely the best ninja.

The weakest ninja truthfully is Jay, Kai is probably 4th or 5th I would put him 4th because Zane is strong but loses a lot of fights or doesn’t change the outcome as much as he should
1. Lloyd (Legendary Green Ninja)
2. Cole (Lava Arm/Spinjitzu Burst
3. Nya (Water form is indestructible/destroyed the entire cursed realm)
4. Kai (Survived a volcano and saved the main protagonist from burning/dying.)
5.Zane (Defeated a digital overlord that stole powers from weapons they previously possessed)
6. Jay (Made a wish)
Jay has two power you know how he has electricity and fire because he can use his electric and light a wood on fire
I would totally agree with your choices, Tanner. I do feel that Kai has not been getting the focus in recent seasons, and that means 2 years! His element fire is also not doing much nowadays. Although Zane is my fav ninja, I have to say that he is lacking behind these few seasons of Ninjago, and probably the next season too. He may have blew up the overlord,but Zane's element ice is somehow pretty weak in terms of combat as proven in the battle "Zane Versus Mr.E", the opponent could just break out of it. Thankfully, he is a Nindroid so his intellect sure does help him by ALOT. Lastly, he is always getting bet up in almost every season, basically like the tank in a MOBA game. Nya is obviously OP the fact she merged with the ocean. Lloyd being the current leader of the team and having a powerful element Energy. And Cole, this guy is definitely OP as well in both physical strength and elemental strength. Jay's physical combat is pretty weak compared to the other NInja of the team but he has a pretty powerful element lightning that is pretty damaging and stunning, and in terms of character development, Nya leaving the team would help him a lot ) in terms of character development). To conclude, Give Zane and Kai more focus and a chance to prove that ice and fire are OP please!

Objectively the way he was developed in the first couple of seasons it’s a no brainer that Kai would be the 2nd strongest. Strong enough that Lloyd even wanted Kai to help him with the Overlord.

I think the weakest element is fire, just because it’s one of the only elements with a specific counter play. (Water)
And it’s strength, being stronger than ice, is useless as it melts and turns to water, being it’s weakness.

after season 7 kai didnt get enough attention. but if we talk about strongest prime ninjas Kai easily gets in the first or equal to lloyd since Kai had staff of elements. which has all the elemental powers in it including Lloyds. i still do think hes 2nd strongest in the ninjas. he has fought against morro alone withouy meanwhile not even all of the other ninjas couldnt get close to him. he also used to be the main character till season 7.
Jay Vs Kai Its true the fact that jays element is basically fire. but if we get to the fact that even if his element could create fire he still cant use it properly since he isnt the master of fire. in my opinion i don't see a possiblity of jay beating kai
Zane vs Kai now this is a confusing one due to fact that fires. weakness is ice and water. but ice has a bigger weakness against fire. so fire>ice
im not gonna talk about inelligence since that will be a waste of time.
yeah we did see zane defeat overlord but that costed him his life. also after season 3 we havent seen zane fight big bosses. meanwhile kai kept on fighting the strongest ones till season 7.

now we all know that Lloyd is Stronger than Kai But what about prime? now this will be a reach since Kai not only has lloyds powers and every elements possible. but lloyd will also have his golden powers so in colclusion

But theres one thing im curious about would Kai be able to use golden form with lloyd power? i think that would be a no but. if Kai got to keep the power kd staff of elements theres a 50% chance he would either steal overlords or garmadons powers.
