Turn and twist! Ok, great, thanks for the video very helpful! Side by side examples are wonderful. Best camera work on absolutely any woodcarving video I've seen!
WOW, your direction, talent and videography are great. Thanks from a newby, hope to have half your talent. How about a show and tell on all the projects in the background ?
Thanks Van, Love that technique you used on the hair with the bun. Walking the flat gouge around. Looks good and great way to do hair on the end grain.
Hello, I found your channel a few days ago and have watched all of your carving video's and I have subscribed, you have a very calm way of teaching, thank you. Can I ask what size v tool you used at the beginning of the video, and also throughout the video? Thank you.

Excellent tips. Hair can be so difficult, but this looks much easier. I'm looking forward to an example of clothes draping.
There will be a video out this Friday about wrinkles!

@@vankellywoodcarvings Thank you very much.
Thanks for your video. It's very helpfull. Is there maybe a tutorial for carving this little lady? Kind regards from Germany
I do not have one out at the moment. I will look at getting one done in the future.
What sort of knife is being used on the old lady hair?

How do you block out hair on the head? So far, I have only been able to carve a bald head 😤
What's the difference between hair, say, like fur on a black bear?
Hmmmm, now I have to carve a woman just to try that hair!
