Races are won or lost in fractions of a second
This sensor cuts fuel and or ignition for a split second, which unloads the transmission. During this time, the rider can shift up to the next gear without rolling off the throttle or using the clutch

Everyone else on they videos mentioning to connect the quick shift
to power commander 5 but they not showing how !!

as far as setting up the quick shift it would be the same on any vehicle it uses the same ports and you can use the same settings you can fine-tune the settings if you'd like in power Commander 5 software..

Does it matter what wire goes where into the power commander? As in can u get port 1 and 2 mixed up?
You'll see in the power commander settings that you have switch input number one and switch input number two. If you're looking at the harness in the middle of the power commander the first two sets of holes is switch input number one The second set of holes would be switch input number two
So basically those first four holes. Holes number one and two belong to switch input number one. Wholes number three and four belong to switch input number two. As far as colors of wires and that type of stuff it doesn't matter. There is no positive and negative to those holes. Basically when a switch in power Commander is activated it's just connecting holes number one and two together or connecting holes number three and four together. So you want to make sure you use the corresponding holes or else the switch input stuff would not work

sick!! Do you need the PCV5 for the quick shifter to work or can you install the quick shifter as a standalone?
With this quick shift you need power Commander v it cannot be installed as a standalone unit. Dynojet also has the pv3 which is a flash tuning device that will flash the ECU and allow you to tune it using their C3 software. They are working on a quick shifter that will work with the pv3.. right now dynojet quick shift is only available for power Commander v.
How do you get to the software part of the quick shifter? Is that something that you have to download? I have everything plugged up ready to go just need to enable quick shifter
You have to download the power Commander v software from Dino Jets website if you go to their website you can search power Commander v and go to downloads or you can search your model of vehicle click on power Commander v and then click on downloads and download the power Commander v software.... can follow the steps in this video I show exactly how to program it once you have the software downloaded
hey i just have a question. so if i already have a pcv, do i need to buy anything other than the shift sensor/rods? or is this all i need for quick shifting???
It depends on what bike you are talking about. For the Honda Grom yes this is all you need.. the quick shift module plugs into power Commander 5 and is controlled through the power Commander v software... some bikes will require the ignition module that goes along with power Commander v in order to use quick shift or two step launch control.... for the Honda Grom all year models all you need is power Commander v and quickshifter...
I’m looking at the same QS, is this compatible with any bike that has PCV? I have an mt07 I was hoping this would be compatible with. Thanks in advanced
You should check their website and see if they make one specifically for your bike...
They might make one that works with your factory rear sets..
The one that I show in this video is the universal one and requires you to possibly have to make your own post to go from the quick shift to the rear set..
All of them from Dynojet will require the power Commander v to be able to run the quick shift..
So to answer your question yes this one will work for your bike you just may have to do some modifying to the way that it connects to the shifter...

if you go to this link it will show you all the different stuff they have available for quick shift options you should definitely go to their website and enter in the year make and model of your vehicle to see if they have one specific for your vehicle..

@@kindredbarlolong7729 if they don't have one specifically for your vehicle it may require a little bit of modification to get it to work correctly as far as it linking up with your existing rear set connection for the shift rod...
the one that I show in this video has both the push method and the pull method you can hook up either one to power Commander five..
You'll need to determine whether your bike is pushing when you go into the next gear or pulling when you go into the next gear...
Make sure you order the right one or the universal one that does both
Thanks for the explanation, I got a 2008 CBR1000RR, I just installed a PCV and i need to put my Quickshifter Blipper . I also have a Secondary Fuel Module (not installed) a bazzaz Z bomb (not installed) and an Autotune (not installed yet)... my question is , do I need to put a module ( Secondary fuel module or any other thing) to be able to use the Quick Shifter or only link the QS Blipper/rod wires to the PCV ?

quick shift gets wired straight to the power Commander 5 and then can be controlled from inside the power Commander v software.

I’m in the process of trying to order it and which one do I need to get to linear pull or linear push??
It all depends on how your shifter is set up you need to take a look at the rod connecting the shift linkage you would want one that is able to shift up into the next gear so look at your shifter and see if when you go up into the next gear is the rod being pushed or pulled. if you have the stock rear sets they make a completely different quick shift specifically for the stock rear sets...
The one that I show in the video is a universal one that has push or pull built into it you can use one or the other..

Need your help please ... Kill mode for my quickshifter on option it gives me is kill fuel ... I don't have option to kill fuel and ignition

@@1990AngeloS you need the ignition module for your bike.. that would also allow you to wire in 2 step launch control as well..
@@1990AngeloS it's kind of weird that the Grom doesn't require it but I guess it's just a more simple ECU.. most bigger bikes require the ignition module

Bike is shifting super shit though... I don't know if that could be the reason not having that module coz sometimes she'll shift (not like butter) then in some gear it doesn't want to know nothing . 🤔
@@1990AngeloS look for the ignition module that works for your bike.. you have to have that in order to use that quick shift correctly
Why didn't you just use the shift rod you had originally on your bike
It wouldn't work.. I would have had to cut it all up... Remember this shifter is universal so it will fit on multiple bikes but on just about every bike out there it's going to be somewhat of a custom install.. if you order one and you send an email to Dynojet and tell them what bike you have they will send you the correct pieces... this was a test unit they sent out to me and the first one to be installed on a Honda Grom with an aftermarket rear set...
Also you can't use the normal shift rod because it won't connect to my aftermarket rear sets
What all is needed to install a quickshifter on a stock 2019 grom??
There is standalone quick shifter units and then there is the quick shifter that we recommend which works with the power commander. So you could install a power commander and you could do the custom tuning for a stock bike it would make more horsepower and torque output even with it being bone stock. Or we could do no tuning and just use it to add the quick shift and control the quick shift. However you would definitely benefit from doing the tuning and the quick shift combination.

You'll be able to order the PC6 and the quick shift all from our website. You can even order the pc6 with a custom tune, launch control, and raised rev limit
